You make a good point. Oh, and I can spell his name, it's that other guy you have to worry about.  I wish you good fortune in relation to your marraige.

What happened to the Corporation? I've been gone for a *very* long time.

Those conflicts were.....'interesting'.....too bad though, I enjoyed the corporation.....I'm considering, if time/schedule (darn CC classes...) permits it, i can understand ikonboard, and 'slap' something to together, starting a nation/civilization...like the corp/or/DA...a formidable enemy always on the go...other than a story line one like the (Herann?) and the Inzi

I believe it used to be, but JC wouldn't be caught dead here anymore. All of his characters were either filtered out of the storyline or taken over by Expansion members, and the Corporation has been removed from the story by being destroyed by the Na'jigat, a race of pure mental energy. We basically used them to replace the Metatraxi, since we didn't want to continue using his ideas for fear of angering him further.

Which of his characters were taken over and which were filtered?

Oh, and I believe that was Starfleet StrikeForce (the old RPG they were on, I mean).  The playing group there is almost exclusively Canadian, almost to a man.  I don't know if it always was, but that's the way it is now.  They didn't like me all that much after I mentioned Brendan Man Tuil.  I'm sort of banned now.

I Googled JC's name, and it appears he is a prominent artist.  He has also written two books (one on the application of fruit in art, which supports my belief that he is somewhat insane).

Wow, you HAVE been gone a long time.

The Corporation was delinked from Expansion in August 2003, due to increasing conflicts between webmasters David Dom and Jean-Claude Pretre (Vorak and Winterspoon). The Corporation's role in Expansion Fleet was filled by a new nation going by the name of the Delta Alliance. A nation similar to the Federation, though based in the Delta Quadrant, the Delta Alliance is a group of nine races who pool their resources to achieve the greater good among them.

besides my (current) Bartholomew Rheinhardt character, I had one named Sariah Perryman, one named Andrea Ramsey, and one named Yarmulki Tajiki.  Two were in Starphoenix and one was in Avalon (and, apparently, still is, although no one has visited my store in years).  The Corporationfleet.com website is gone, and I can't find the music he used (which was the only reason I went to the site anyway).  I had multiple Corporation characters, who he (Winterspoon) killed when he destroyed his division's HQ in a Metatraxi attack.  It's understandable, considering the fact that Mr. Pretre and myself were literally the only two people who were involved in the Corporation.

JC= Jean Claude Petre.....was/is(maybe?) head of the corporation, a former ally nation that the DA replaced...

Indeed.  I can't register at his new forum because I don't speak French.  Nobody but him has registered.  It's kind of sad, really, because if you check at the right time of day in his forum's active users list, you can see that he's been checking on that site every day for over a year.  Kind of makes you wonder why he still does it.  It's too bad.  He had some amazing ideas.  He would have made a good writer.

Well, unfortunately, Jean-Claude has suffered what seems to be a near-mental breakdown. He tried to resurrect the Corporation, but it never did work. He has sent several disturbing emails to some of the staff that were around here when the Corporation went under, as well as some of the former Corporation officers who didn't share his anti-Expansion zealotry.

Indeed, that has been long. I'm surprised to hear that anyone even remembers it still, aside from a few that went through the whole episode. What characters did you used to have?

Ramsey... that name does ring a bell indeed.
As for the Corporation, an he music on it you were looking for, you can still find the original website at http://jeanclaude.pretre.free.fr/corporationfleet/index.html but aside from the website, there doesn't appear to be any activity on there.

Well, Hermes is still played, and is the AI of Avalon Station. Event Horizon is still used, but is really only used to personify the Na'jigat. Prester John of the old Shadowfleet was resigned, Counselor Ristran Keriadoc was dropped off at Corporation Starbase S'Par'Ta, I believe. I have no idea the fate of Dalen and Galen Winterspoon. After that, the characters were abandoned by him, as he wanted nothing to do with Expansion, but there weren't enough members in the Corporation to warrant him continuing it. It's odd, I believe the Corporation was the main reason Expansion was formed, since the old RPG David and Jean-Claude were at wouldn't allow it.

His full name is Jean-Claude Pretre (not Petre), and Pretre means "priest". But I've once googled his name too, and found that there are more people with the same name (try googling your own name, you'll be surprised lol, i have a namesake that's an acupenture doctor in the US). He did write some books (in French) but I believe he never published them.

JC was indeed a talented writer, his storylines were among the most unique ones I've ever seen, even during the time of S.S.F. and before that, Delta Fleet (no longer in existence).

His Corporation website is indeed online, but the board was never finished. I mean, the forums are not even ready, only a few test forums were created and that's where it ends. Besides, the website is not really set up so people can find easily where to join, or what they're joining.
The pictures of the uniforms you see, were drawn (on paper) by his (now ex-)girlfriend Sara, who sent them by mail to him whereafter he would scan them and put them on the website.

The Corporation was one of the most original ideas in the Star Trek world, and it is sad indeed to see it has failed, but I believe it's because most people tend to cling to something more familiar. Even the D.A. is not all that active, just because people don't really know what it is, and prefer a Starfleet ship instead.
