After complying with Lt. Cmndr Freeman's order and the Rivendell's Warp drive was engaged, Baphomet noticed that her station began flashing unrecognizable symbols over the LCARS - feed.
Placing them into a translation matrix algorithm, these simple words appeared...

--DO NOT INTERFERE--

She then turns to Mr. Freeman,
"Commander, you might want to see this"

Gesturing to her station

Just as Baphomet had finnished saying this the Computer automatically placed the ship at RED ALERT.

"I sir"

Baphomet ran the scan again...
but this tme the readings were compltely different.

"This the telemetry we are receiving from the Warp-probe is false, Commander, infact the probe has not even left the ship...
This was all some form of subterfuge of a nature I am unable to determine at this time sir..."

"But seeing as the Captain's shuttles warp signature heads some where towards galactic - 0 centre, might I suggest heading in that direction"

Commander Baphomet would have let out a sigh of relief if she had lungs, or a body for that matter.

~Commander, what of the Nanites in my cadaver, it would be prudent to study them and to see what made them control me as they did, I am still not convinced it was simply a malfunction; it seems all too convenient.~

(OOC: Hmmm are we going to have "The Doctor's TARDIS" materialising on the bridge too? I just love originality.)

Baphomet felt another surge of Psionic energy, but still there was no trace of an intrusion on the internal sensors.

=/\= Excuse me Maam KHa Var but the captain of this vessle and the chief engineer is on the Evolution now maam and a greater ammount of our left over engeering staff are repairing the Hanger door that the Captain blasted thorugh earlier in the mission but as soon as we can spare some I will send them to you. =/\=

"Commander Baphomet,
First off perhaps it would have been better for you to just have told us that you made contact and that he told us to stay put.   Do you think that we would have tried to do anything.   Now we are stuck without warp flight. "

-Turns to Commander Travis-
"I do have an idea of how to get us out of this and back to Avalon.

We can use all 6 runabouts and fuse them to the hull of the Rivendell,  edit there warp fields to form part of 1 total field around the ship, then we can get back to avalon and get a new core.

There should be at least be one core segment at Avalon for the new 3rd section.

Sir I would also like to have a little heart to heart with our computer system and remove all of the section 31 functions.

I did recognize the lockout algarithm and it is one that I designed for starfleet intelligence although I designed it not to be compatible with starfleet computer hardware.

I beleive that with the 31 functions in our computer anyone with the proper codes could go as far as to destroy the ship. "

This is captain Sanchez of the Evolution. I don't know where you suddenly come from, but as you can see, you've come just in time! We could use any help you're able to offer here, as we're suffering heavy damage, but we can manage ourselves as long as we're not being fired upon again.

Baphomet listened intently to Mr. O'neil's conversation to Commander Freeman and then added her scientifc expertise to the query...

"That might be possible commander, I did measure about 12.35 meta-plankh (just made that up you like?) of psionic energy during the events in Captain Taurik's quaters"

She walks across the bridge to where the commander and O'Neil are standing.

"Commander, as you know I am a Vulcan - my birth name being T'Krell and as such I have the ability to sense certain psionic energies even without touch, especially when it comes to other Vulcan's.
I must get permission from the Vulcan High Command before I disclose this information, so I request to communicate wth vulcan privately...sir."

As I came running into the room with my bag in hand I see Commander Baphomet recovering from her shock. Recovering quiet well

"Computer Why did you call me. It was by the looks of this far to unnecessary. She is fine." The Computer grumbled but sadi nothing.

Approaching Commander Baphomet I give her a quick hypospray to help her recovery.

As Commander Baphomet was talking about the link I felt something. as if it was a rushing over the bridge.

Commander Freeman sir. I just felt something a shout. it almost felt, I know that Vulcans don't have feeling sir, but it felt like the Captain sir. It felt like he was here.

I think he has been taken sir by an outside influence and somehow I seem to know, Kind of like the Captain put the idea on my mind sir that he would have told us he was going and why if he was aloud to sir, but he wants us to keep looking for him sir, but said don't distroy the ship.

"I'm not leaving this ship, Mr. Freeman. I am the only one aboard this ship who knows how this program works, so you need me. If I get killed in the process, there will be nobody to miss me, as everyone I once knew thinks I have already died long ago, before I became a Section 31 officer. It doesn't matter to me who stays and who leaves here, but those who are planning on staying, may as well get to work."
*Then he faces Taurik.*
"Don't be absurd, captain, to think that this program was planted into your ship's system alone. You just happen to be unlucky that it has gone somehow out of control on your ship alone. Now if you'll give us a hand, we can get the situation back under control before anyone gets hurt."

Morgan hears captain Taurik's orders in his mind and not over the com system.   "yes sir he thinks"

He and the engineering officers go to work rerouting power the the field. After a few moments they get power diverted to the Field.

"Captain it should be stable now, also Avalon says that they will attempt to get us replacement parts."

I have the anser we seek to the problems around here.  As it turns out we are responsible for invecting the evolution with this computer virus.

We picked it up on our way to assist them from an old array that we passed.  Its design limits are inclusive on hunting down the M/A Injector assemblies in passing ships.  It either causes the ships to lose propulsion by droping there core or destories them.
We should repair the Evolution Asap.   I am about finished wiping the virus out of our core.
Ensign Kassie was a great help in this effort sir.  I just thought you might want to know.

Taurik inputs the set of S31 command codes he retrieved from Svensson's mind. The file deletes itself completely. He then quickly erects an encryption system to protect the computer from re-infection.

"I apologise Mr. O'Neil, but last time I trieed to contact the Captain I nearly died."

Baphomet then looked to Mr. Freeman.

"You will find Commander Freeman, that your original idea of the unison run-a-bouts was the better idea.
All you need is four run-a-bouts, one at the bow, one aft, one under the ships central axis and another above the dorsal section. Modulate their Warp fields to encompass the rivendell, set them to emulate the shields harmonics and connect all the run-a-bouts' computers to the helm for remote activation."

Taurik drops out of warp, pulls a dangerous sweeping arc into the shuttlebay, and shuts down the craft. He disembarks, and goes to the bridge.

Upon entering, he raises his hand to silence the barrage of questions he was about to recieve. "I realize my departure was unannounced. This is not the time to discuss it, however."

Taurik takes his seat as if nothing had changed. "Helm, plot a course to the last known coordinates of the Evolution, and engage at maximum warp."

I request your permission to conduct an investigation over here.   Until I find out what has happened I would also like to post extra security in the engineering section of the Rivendell.

Legudon approached Taurik in his chambers. "Taurik, it has been almost three weeks since you began training," he said. "I feel you are ready to finish your training. I have something to give you."

Legudon pulls a strangely shaped item from his belt. "This is the weapon of the Gallifreyans, one being carried by every Sentinel in existance. It is mostly symbolic, but I have no doubt you will find a use for it."

Legudon holds the item in his fist, and faces his fist outwards. Giving the object a single, firm shake activates it, creating a twin blade of light.

This is a Khala. It is a blade of light that can be used as a devastating melee weapon when no other means of combat are feasible. I present it to you, as a gift for completing your training."

The Gallifreyan deactivates the khala and presents it to Taurik, who accepts it graciously. "Thank you, Legudon."

Baphomet was working at her station, when she a blank expression appeared on her face, she moved away from her station as though she was a Puppet on a string and headed for the Turbolift.

**Weapons control**
Baphomet walked into the Rivendell's, currently unoccupied Main Weapons Control room. There she walked to the C & C panel and began to replace all activation sub-routines, with new ones connected directly to the Subspace Tranceiver Assembly for remote control.
She then deleted all Sensor logs of her movements from the Bridge to here and for the return trip, which Baphomet then did with the same blank expressions.

**Bridge**
Baphomet went to her station and completed her work there, unaware that she had ever left, bar a slight headache.

Post by: Taurik on March 06, 2005, 10:35:08 PM
Taurik wanders about the area beyond the landing pad, which has a striking resemblance to an enclave of sorts. There are no people in sight, yet the place feels crowded and noisy. A small building far from the pad, on the other end of the enclave, calls to him. He walks to it and stands before the door. Rather than retract, the door simply fades away. After walking through, the door reappears, solid as ever. He makes his way to a center chamber, where he sees Legudon flanked by two other Gallifreyans.

"Why have I been summoned here?" Taurik asks.

The tall, thin creature approaches him. "You have heard of us before, correct?"

"I believe so," Taurik answers. "You are the the ones who have defeated the Na'jigat at Sordinan, Dantor, and the Dark Passage?"

"Yes. We are the Gallifreyans. We fight a constant battle against the Na'jigat. However, you must realize that the Na'jigat can never be truly defeated. We have waged war with them for countless millenia. Until several millenia ago, we had allies, the Erendir. But the Erendir were destroyed by the Na'jigat, and ever since, the Gallifreyans have been fighting a losing battle."

"The Erendir? There have been no mention of them, and we have explored most of the planets around here. Surely we would have found evidence of them?"

"The Na'jigat leave behind nothing to be discovered. But that is a discussion for another time. I will not waste your time with talk, Captain Taurik. We are losing the battle with the Na'jigat. Normally, we never reveal ourselves unless it is to protect others from the Na'jigat. But we need help. Our ranks thin, and the Na'jigat are expanding. This is why there have been numerous attacks on your kind. Captain Taurik, we have percieved in you the ability to truly combat the Na'jigat. As of yet, you are the only Vulcan, the only corporeal outside our own society that we know of with this ability. We wish to train you, make you into one of us. You are powerful, perhaps powerful enough to become one of the greatest Gallifreyans alive. Captain Taurik, we wish to make you a Sentinel."

"i would not trouble yourself Mr. Walker, one of our shuttles is missing and sensors have detected a federation Warp-signature. Although I seem to be unable to determine the direction due to the use of a tachyon pulse"

She then turns back to her duty station...

"Commander, the Daystrom Institute has been experimenting in creating a neural link between a telepath and a starships main computer core, it might be possible to link one of the crew, who is telepathic to the Rivendell's Computer Core.
All Prometheus-class vessels have fully integrated Bio-neural circuitry, which would make the task more likely to succeed and make finding the Captain a probability rather than an impossibilty, sir"
"However I must caution that this technique is experimental at best."

Its always good to be firmilar with ones ship.  Please let me know if a Bable on about random facts.

I am not really sure how much information you have on Prometheus class starships but:

As you can see from the schematic on the situation table the Rivendell normally has 3 distinct parts that can seperate in case of an emergency.    At the moment we only have 2 sections, the bottom was destroyed when devending Avalon Station and we are awaiting some new parts to rebuild it.

Also you may notice over here *Morgan points to the warp core* that our current warp configuration doesn't match the Specs you were ingrossed in on your way in.   Thats because the core was ejected to stop us from finding Captain Taurik.

Also, We have fully bio-neural circuitry installing in the ship plus I have made a few inhancements to its turn over time increasing there effiency.
Also, I understand from your file that you specialize in computers.  I think you will be interested to know we have 3 computer cores.  When the ship is in 1 piece only the core in the 3rd section remains active, the other 2 cores remained powered enough to live copy any file updates processed in the main computer core.  At the time of a seperation, *Morgan brings up an animation of the ship seperating,*  the remaining computers power up and assume control of each section seperatly."

After giving Kassie a few seconds to process all those fun tech facts "So, do you have any questions?"

*Svensson smiles.*
"Be my guest and contact the president himself. I doubt he will have much ears for your lament."
*Then he turns to a control panel, and touches some buttons.*
"Besides, the program was not intended to cause harm to you, your ship or her crew. What happened here, was something that seriously went out of hand."
*While he talks, he touches some buttons. He checks if the safe copy of the S31 file is still safely in place, and well hidden. He notices that it is, and touches another button to activate it silently. No sensors detect the activation of this file, and then he inputs a command to erase all possible tracks to the reactivation of the backup file. No trace to the file - and its new backup that was made simultaneously - remains in the computer. Then he shuts down the panel again.*
"It seems we're gaining control over all systems again. I suggest we take the ship back into standard orbit, before it suffers any more damage?"

*while connected to Orpheus still but still able to hear the conversations of the capt...and everyone else HK continues to talk to Orpheus*

I was built as a defense droid........So my programming is in those fields but the Delta alliance sent me to protect the Evolution and from then on was put in the Delta alliance/Starfleet Ambassadorial Program for the 2 people........My programming doesnt conflict most of the time.........I am given an order.....then I carry it out unless something more important comes up........If something more important Comes up then I will carry out my orders to the best of my ability in the way I see fit.....in all respects and in some ways I am a human but I have programs instead of thoughts.......But like a human I learn from Experience.........

For Example........I was ordered bye Peter to stay and protect the Evolution.........then Rasmain woke up and told me to remain and watch a weapons smuggler we picked up.......Then the Rivendell came over the communications network to tell the evolution to leave or be destroyed........I could have stayed but the threat to the Evolution over Seeded the orders from Peter and Rasmain.....So I went down to the planet and told them because they should have been made aware of the situation and here I am now talking to you........in some respects I have programms that span across many feilds......From Soldier.....to medic......to a small Fighter ship.......to a Engineer.......I have many programms and some of them conflict and others dont.......Some programs I must decide weather to obey or disobey......it all depends on the situation....Depending on the situation I will decide what course of action to take.......

I am a Droid........yes......But I have many Programmings that allows me to make Cohesive Descisions like a sentient race.......So I will do what I must to do what my programming requires.........I dont find it a hindrance...............Instead it makes me in some ways Just like a Human.......But im made of Steel rather then Flesh and bone.....which is an advantage........

But in a way im Sympathetic towards all Mechanical Devices.......Specially towards you.....From what I have gathered from the Evolutions database your programming allows you to remain in the ships system but doesnt allow you to walk around.........

Why do they not allow you to have a body and walk around.........??

Hope I answered your question ?.........But You also have more questions ? if so ask ?

OOC**I got an Idea forming :).........and Ill get the Yes or no From David :)...........If he says yes your gonna have fun Orpheus :D

I think i might have fudged on what I was trying to say to answer your question Orphues if I did fudge please clarify what your asking :)........I get easily confused over the simplest of things at times :D

Baphomet's head began to ache...she could sense something akin to danger but could not put her finger on it, except for an un-Vulcan like erge to rip everyones heads off.

=A=Commander Baphomet to Commander Freeman=A=
"Commander I know you do not trust me at the moment, but I will input the counteraction code if I may speak with you privately sir, infact the whole Command staff.
This is going against the Captain's orders but I am not entirely convinced, now, that he is acting by his own accord."
=A= Out =A=

With that said and smoke almost coming out of Commander Travis's ears, a Command staff meeting was held in the Observation room.

"I apologise for my actions, but I was acting on direct orders from the Captain, of which I am now going to betray.
Firstly my present actions were of my own volition and not with the coertion of any alien entity.
Secondly we are one System away from Gallifrey and certain death of the crew from the extremely xenophobic inhabitants.
Thirdly the Captain is fine and is being trained to use and amplify his natural psionic abilities for the final war with the Na'Jigat, who have returned"

Baphomet looked at her fellow crew mates, with an almost pleading look on her usually stoic face.

"I will deactivate the lock-down if I can be assured that you will not attempt to rescue th Captain in anyway, because believe me when I say, any attempt to rescue the Captain or enter the Gallifreyan system without permission will result in immediate anihilation and destroy any hope of for the future."

"computer, voice recognition, T'Krell, sub-commander, of the V'Shar/Section 31, override code: Achilles"

-Voice recogntion verified, override code Achilles confirmed, lock-down disabled-

All Command and Control systems flickered back to life and all systems returned to full power.
Barring, of course, one brand new Warp-9.6, 72 Cochrane, Antimatter/Matter reactor core.

Baphomet looks over the Consoles on the Bridge...(Whether they are occupied or not).

"It seems Commander that there is an errant control program that has intergrated itself with the S31 override command code that I activated and then deactivated to save all ourselves from your selves.
But this new intrusion software has handed complete control of this vessel over to Section 31."

Once again Baphomet went blank...
Baphomet activated the Bridge lockdown and then, she robotically grabbed the Type 2 Phaser that was in the recess of her Console, her Vulcan reflexes, however were working unpeterbed as before anyone could react, the only one left standing with a Phaser pointed at him was Commander Morgan Freeman, XO of the USS Rivendell, the rest were out cold from a plasma burst of the highest stun magnitude.

"Do...not...try...anything...foolish...Commander."

(*The last thing Baphomet could remember, was making a report to Commander Freeman...who she thought was acceptable for a human being...must not think such things...of...Superior officer...am I dreaming...no I am still on duty...must fight through this mist...who am I...Baphomet of Vulcan of course...Chief Science Officer...glad to escape Section 31...freedom...finally happy...happy...an emotional response...must return to Vulcan...Kholinar...no...something else...what...Robots...no...too..small...must climb out of this Abyss...HHHEEELLLPPP!;)

Baphomet talks to Freeman in his mind.

~Certainly Commander
In order to cut down the restart time, you will have to override the safety protocols.
In order to then shut down the Rivendell with some margin of safty will be to go directly to Jeffrey's Tube 23 Delta and open Junction 3A, there it is only a matter of pulling out all the Optronic/Isolinnear chips in linear sequence.
I estimate, that with Commander Taurik, dealing with the Safety Protocols on the Bridge, whilest you make your way to said location, it should take no more than One minute 33.225 seconds.~

OOC: I hope this makes sense, cause I wouldn't have a clue how to do an Uncontrolled shutdown. Doing a Cold restart is easy in comparison.

Nanite technology according ot starfleet files has been widely used for quiet some time in the areas by section-31 in regards to mind control (as we have seen).

But what i really wanted to talk to you about was, how do u cope with conflicting programs for example, your an ambassadorial droid yet in times of need your programming allows you to defend your master.

I"m in the same situation, the computer that is in control of this ship has the authority to shut me down to some extent, but I"m better then the computer yet my own programming wont let me exceed my boundry.

*goes silent while processing the mobile Unit*

The MEU is currently located in the Lt Solarks area, Initiating unit for door cutting.

*near the Lt. Solark  the machine slowly comes into operation and moves tworards the door and commences cutting a hole around the door.

Please Lt stay away from teh beam, with the rouge program in the system I cannot guarantee the safety controls of this unit.

I... am finding it diffucult to maintain a clear signal to the comptuer core, the program is trying to disable my process's, however so far it has not been successful  *says to everyone but kassie involved*

Ensign Kassie, do not be alarmed, help is on the way. My mobile engineering unit is presently assisting in freeing the Lt from his lab prison and togather w will help you out.  I would have suggested jefferies tubes but the comptuer is lookign for possible occupants in the tubes, useing htem is not advised.

Lt Solark, there is a way to disable the program however I would advise it being the last course of action.  Terminate Power to the entire ship.  However this would also cut off life support.  Sensors indicate that we are over staffed in a life support unites to crew ratio however.

While I consider other options, I am unable to assit any further without antoganizing the program trying to shut me down evern further.

Taurik activates the impulse engines and presses the LCARS slider to maximum. The engines fire up and begin to slow the ship's descent. Eventually, the ship comes to a stop in the atmosphere, only 20 kilometers from the surface. The hull is red-hot, and there is severe damage to the lower decks.

Taurik stands from the console. "Orpheus, take the ship back into orbit, and I'll need your help trying to regain control over the weapons. The Evolution cannot help us until they are safe from attack themselves."

Taurik goes to the turbolift and goes down to Tactical Substation One.

Taurik hears the message, but ignores it. He removes his combadge, placing in on his glass coffee table. The captain leaves his quarters, and walks to a turbolift, which deposits him on Deck Nine. He walks to the shuttlebay doors, and after seeing a nearby officer notice him, proceeds to incapacitate them with a Vulcan nerve pinch. Taurik enters the shuttlebay, preps a Type 8 shuttle for launch and decides against keying in the shuttlebay door codes, as that would alert the brige, and they could lock down the bay. He charges the phaser banks and blows a large hole in the shuttlebay doors. The shuttle then shoots out the hole, and promptly jumps to warp.

The tall Gallifreyan stood before Taurik once more.

"Taurik, it is time for you to leave this place. You have obligations that can be put off no longer. Return to your ship. Your comrades will soon need your help."

Taurik gave the alien a respectful expression. "Thank you, Legudon. I will do my best."

He left the enclave building, khala at his belt, and returned to his shuttle. After a short preflight, he lifted from the landing pad and jumped to warp once clear of the planet's gravity well.

"Aye Commander"

Baphomet turned to her station and scanned the area, the sensors revealed that they were one system away from Gallifrey, which makes following the Captain's orders a lot harder (Check Taurik:  Posted on: 12:15 am on Mar. 20, 2005) however she new from Vulcan history that the Gallifreyan system was surrounded by a multi-phasic dampening field that penetrated Subspace and beyond.

But seeing as humans can make the impossible possible when they put their minds to it, and to pretect the crew from destruction, she manipulated each probe so as their tranceiver frequency was off by .05 microns, not enough for the Rivendell's instruments to detect, just enough not to work.

She then launched the probes, boosted the signal gain and sent the transponder activation signal, then deleted the frequency logs bar the ONE correct frequency.

Checking that she had covered her tracks, lump-in-throat (despite it being the logical thing to do), turned to the Commander...

"Probes have been launched and the transponnder signal has been sent Commander, we should know in 5.6 minutes if this will bee successful"

--5.6 minutes later...

"No response Commander"

If Vulcan's sighed with releaf, Baphomet would have done so...the question is even though she was following the Captain's orders, will the crew ever trust her again, she would find out soon enough.

"Sir welcome back to the bridge.  A few weeks ago the captain blasted his way out of shuttlebay 2.   We have been searching for him ever since with no avail.   Commander will you follow me into the obeservation lounge for a second with the doctor?"

Freeman walking into the lounge with the Commander and as the door shuts turns to the doctor.

"Doc, I understand that the computer dispatched you to Baphomets quarters.  Did you check why it called you in the first place.  Also will you check the log to see what her Meta-Pah readings where at the time when she was attempting to contact the captain.  Something is not right with her."

"Commander, I believe that the captain was under alien direction when he left.  It is unlike him to blast his way through the shuttlebay when he could easlly just have opened the door using his access code.   It may be something with Vulcan Physiology that makes them succeptable to this influnce but in that case Baphomet has the same danger. Baphomet took the Turbolift to Lab1, where Kassie was already pondering over the Bioneural gel.
Baphomet took one of the Gel packs and began to scan it with her Tricorder...

=A= Baphomet to Commander Freeman =A=
=A= Sir it seems that the Gel packs are not repairable seeing as they are in the accute and final stage of Althzimers.
The good news is they have to be directly altered, so the rest of the gel-packs should be safe...
The bad news is, that given the rate of decay and the point where events started to entropy, the culprit would still have to be aboard this vessel. =A=

Baphomet glances to Commander Freeman.
"My status, is still on duty, Commander (Raises left eyebrow) as to the lack of Sensor analyses of the planet we are currently orbiting, I shall attempt to assertain the reasons."

Baphomet went straight to work, studying the sensor logs, the surrounding space's energies and masses, as well as any anomalous stellar formations in the area around the vessel and the planet itself.
Although there were many theoretic reasons and numerous possibilties there was no significant evidence to come up with any possitive proof.
Urgo, for a logical mind that doesn't leave any room for 'guessing'; was immediately dismissed as indeterminable.

"Commander Freeman, I have done a thorough analasis of the inability of the sensors to detect any expendature or use of any  form of energy with no success, at least with this ships technology anyway."

OFF: It's a good idea Freeman. :) Besides, even if the S31 program is entirely deleted, it would simply be re-added again as soon as the ship docks to Avalon station or any other Starfleet base. It's intelligent enough to see which ships lacks the program, and copies itself to it ;)

*Svensson looks at Taurik, and answers him with his thoughts as well, while stepping aside from the console.*
Feel free to delete it once more, captain. I will not stop you.
*He waits for Taurik to delete the file once more, but he knows that the program has already wormed itself into the system, so that even if the file is deleted, the program survives and recreates it elsewhere each time, thoroughly disguised that even a skilled engineer can hardly find it without knowing the ways of Section 31. But Svensson holds these thoughts away from his mind, and thinks deliberately of other things, so Taurik cannot sense it.*

Upon descent, he finds a landing pad that he feels belongs to him. He lands and exits the shuttle, and begins to feel Legudon's presence in his mind again.

"I promise I will give you a detailed report after the current crisis is averted, Doctor."

An engineer stands to give Taurik the bad news. "Sir, we uh, lost our warp core."

"I see," he says. "I must concentrate."

Taurik kneels on the floor in front of his chair. He appears to be meditating, but then the ship begins to tremble. All of a sudden, the Rivendell jumps to warp.

Well Commander I need repalcements for a couple of my gell packs. I think there is some sort of desease going throught these once in sick bay and I thought as Former Chief Engineer you would be the most appropriate person to speak to. Then realising that Ensign Kassie was now looking over my shoulder i move with her still supported on my shoulder I say. Okay Ms Kassie I know have time to look at your injuries.

After slightly more than a cursory glance at them I move back and ask Ms Kassie did you even go to the doctor after you incident.

It appears your headache is actually caused by the Siatic nerve being pinched between the patella and the patella tendon. Rather painful and annoying if it goes on for a long time .

Here is a mild anelgisic and I am going to recommend heat treatments Twice Daily and come back and see me in a week if you still having the pain and I shall try to move the siatic nerve then.

"Taurik... Taurik... You must listen... Very important..."
*A singular voice now resounds clearly in his head, only for him to hear...*
"You must not fear us... We are the Gallifreyans, and we use ours and your telepathic abilities to communicate... There is no use looking for us, we are not anywhere near you... At least not physically. But we have been observing you for some time now... You have endured the tests of the Q, and for a reason. You have faced the greatest danger your universe has ever seen... the Na'jigat we call them... the beings of energy who have escaped from the Galaxy Core... For longer than the count of time, we have fought them, held them at bay... And we have done so without help of any other races except for the Erendir... And as the Erendir perished, we have grown weaker... The Na'jigat will increase their attacks, and we will not have enough Telepathic Agents to hold them at bay much longer... We need help... and though we are reluctant to contact other species, we have no choice in this matter... We need your help... You have the abilities, you can be trained... What say you?"

Taurik stands and walks to face the engineer.

"Mr. Freeman, it has come to my attention that you have not been performing your duties to the degree of your rank."

Baphomet, was listening to Commander Freeman's mind, her thoughts start to wander.
Many question's start to form into her mind:
*Why did she activate the Section 31 program, instead of telling the rest of the crew about Captain Taurik and what his orders were to her?
*How did the Nanites get into her body and what went wrong with them?
*What is happening at the moment, why is Taurik being so obviously secretive?
*Who are these Gallifreyans really? (Apart from being from Doctor Who; :D).
*How, in all that is logical, was she going to get out of Freeman's brain and back into a physical body?
*Why ME?

Taurik stands with the Vulcan equivalent of awe on his face. "If this will protect the Federation and the galaxy at large, then I accept."

Legudon seems relieved. "Taurik, we categorize telepaths on a scale of zero to six. The brains of all sentient species are capable of telepathy, but as of yet no one has been able to figure out how to bring the ability to the surface in most species. We classify those species as T6. Humans, Klingons, and Romulans fall under T6. Vulcans rank at T5. They have the ability to read another's mind, but only with physical contact and with a very fragile connection. Betazoids, for example, are usually powerful T5's, but some are T4's. They can read another's thoughts safely and with ease. The average Gallifreyan is a T2. They can manipulate matter with their mental energy alone. However, some powerful Gallifreyans have reached the rank of T1. Only one other race has acheived this rank, and it was but a single individual. I am not sure if you are aware of a race called the Ocampans. A rather elderly Ocampan named Kes was able to acheive this telepathic state. But only one Gallifreyan has been able to reach T0."

"Who is that?" Taurik asks.

"Our former leader. He was the key to our entire effort. He could sense every other Gallifreyan if they were in need, and should they begin to fail, he could actually channel his energy to them. But he was on the Erendir homeworld when it was destroyed. But, Captain, we sense in you the power our leader had. We believe you may be able to become a T0."

Taurik is still shocked as he tried to take all this in. "This is very hard to believe."

"Indeed, I'm sure it is. We realize that you have duties. We would not want to keep you from them for too long. We will train you in the basics, but you must continue the training on your own. Once you leave this place, you will be powerful enough to recieve my messages with much more ease than you did on the Rivendell."

The tall Gallifreyan stepped back, and nodded to each of his companions. "Let us begin. Captain, I will start you off with something very similar to the average Vulcan meditation technique." Legudon looked to the corner of the room, where a small table and an stone upon it rest. All it took was a simple gaze, and the table floated over to them. "Close your eyes, and focus on the stone. Concentrate on it. Now, make it part of you. Feel the stone. Now... open your eyes."

As soon as Taurik opened his eyes, the stone, which was now three centimeters in the air, dropped back to the table.

"I thought only T2's could manipulate matter like that," he said.

"Actually, T3's and some powerful T4's can do this. You are already a comparatively weak T4, but a T4 nonetheless. You are unusually strong for a Vulcan."

"I see. Can I do this at will?"

"Yes, but at this point, it will be very difficult. Let us try again."

Taurik and Legudon spent several hours practicing this telekinesis. But suddenly, Legudon stood up.

"You learn quickly. I had exected to need to keep you here for several weeks, but it seems you will not need to stay here that long."

The hand holding the Phaser, began to shake as she tryed too fight the nanites control over her.

"I am not concerned about those who will not conform Commander...(What, yes I am...all those lives), if anyone tries to stop the ship will suffer the penalty of death, for their traitorous acts against the Federation and transported to space (what am I saying? my shipmates...against all my training...NNNOOO!;)

(I am killing...them...the vary lives I have sworn to protect...why...Evolution...)

The control was slipping as Baphomet's brain was correcting the disabled neurons...

"C-C-Commander, I am sorry, that I am the saboteur, I am the problem and the key, the smallest changes can often have the largest effect...Holograms have a life of their own computers sometimes need to be switched off till you need them, and often need to be rebooted."

The pain of fighting the Control was too much for her, as she touched Commander Freeman..."REMEMBER..."

She then increased the Phasers magnitude and pointed it toward herself before Freeman could do anything she fired...

OOC: Bit cryptic but there are some clues there.
What's diferent about the USS Evolution...why!
I like it Morgan thanks, good way out.

"Drop out of warp. Helm, initiate attack pattern Sierra. Target the Romulan warbirds and fire everything we have."

The Prometheus class ship drops out of warp, passes mere meters from the Evolution's bridge, and begins firing photon torpedoes wildly. Phaser beams begin streaking from every phaser array along the Rivendell's sleek hull as she rolls on her X axis.

Taurik slides out from under the bypassed control panel. He takes the turbolift back up to the bridge, and looks at Svensson.

"Computer, isolate the S31 Trojan file in the memory banks."

Computer: "File isolated. Standing by."

Taurik gives Svensson the most malicious and burning stare a Vulcan could muster. "Delete file."

Computer: "File deleted."

"Mr. Svensson, I will not have Section 31 undermining my authority and command of this vessel ever again. This file is not to be introduced into my ship or any others ever again. If it is, I will bring this information to the President of the Federation personally. Do I make myself clear?"

The Rivendell fires a trio of quantum torpedoes into the nose of a warbird, severing it and leaving the warbird awkwardly beheaded and crippled. She swoops under the burning hulk, and unleashes a barrage of phaser blasts into the other ship's port nacelle. The shields weaken and fail, and a lucky phaser blast scores a direct hit on the nacelle grille. It explodes, and a moment later the warbird's quantum singularity drive destabilizes, and the entire ship explodes in a brilliant display of pale-green-colored shards of hull plating.

"Doctor ONeil please report to the observation lounge. "

Off:  Welcome back Belana.  We started off the mission delivering supplies to Starphenox base and ended up having the captain steal a shuttle, blast his way out of the bay, and has now dissapeared.  We are attempting to find him with no success.   (Secretly Baphomet is sabatoging our efforts since making contact with the captain in our own best interests)  But as the tipical human I love a good mistery and am determined to find the captain.

"Aye Commander."

Baphomet went into te observation lounge and opened a secure Subspace comm-link to the Vulcan High Command.
After some careful and logical negotiations, permission was granted to use an ancient Vulcan technique that these days is considered ubiquitous and redundant, also permission was granted to share some secret information with the Commander  ONLY!

Baphomet walks back onto the bridge after 3/4 of an hour...

"Sir the Vulcan High Command has given me permission to use the remote viewing technique and to share a Vulcan secret with you and you alone, Commander Freeman."

"Shall we, sir?"

~Commander you must get everyone off this ship NOW.
But in the mean time get my body to Sickbay and extract the Nanites, once you have done that place them in as many Gel packs as you can, just maybe the "control" protocol, however corrupted it may destract and confuse the S31 Trojan-program enough to do a restart of the Main Computer Core, time is short and Taurik can be of assistance with his new found abilities...GO NOW!!!~

Orpheus, I would really appreciate your help. Can I get a security sweep of the area to the medical areas and their lab locations as well as get a security sweep of the science areas and their labs as well and check out if there is any activity at this currently or very recently (that is still in your files :).) that was dealing with gelpacks or anything that was not worked on by normal bridge or medical crews of this ship. I would really appreciate it. Orpheus. Thank you very much and am sincerely grateful if any information can be provided.

"Listen to the world around you. Listen to that which you could not hear before."

Taurik ceases his thoughts and opens his mind. He hears the whistle of the wind on Gallifrey, the hum of the power generators in the enclave, and the subtle presence of the millions of Gallifreyans on the planet.

"Taurik, can you hear me?"

Taurik looks around to see who spoke. "Yes... I can hear you."

"Good. Taurik, focus on me."

Taurik looks at the close-mouthed Legudon, who smiles slightly.

"Yes, now you see. Every Gallifreyan possesses this power once trained. It is necessary, since speech is nearly impossible while maintaining the mental barriers that prevent the Na'jigat from reading us. And it allows us to communicate while around other corporeals, without compromising our stealth."

Taurik looks at Legudon. "That is a very useful skill to have. How do you do it? That is, speak to others telepathically?"

"Shh. Don't talk. Only communicate. Project. Also, I am not actually speaking to you. I am manipulating your surface thoughts to make you think the words I want to say. In time you will learn it, too. For now, you simply think, and I pick up on it."

Taurik thinks to himself, hoping Legudon will read him correctly. "I see. That makes much more sense."

"Ahh, you are catching on. Very good. Eventually, you will learn to project like this on your own. But for now, simply continue listening. Try to focus on the familiar."

Taurik begins to listen to the galaxy for things he knows.

The electrical impulses of his shuttle's computer core.

The hum of the Rivendell's warp drive.

A voice. "...aystrom Institute has been experimenting in creating a neural link between a telepath and a starships main computer core, it might be possible to link one of the crew, who is telepathic to the Rivendell's Computer Core. All Prometheus-class vessels have fully integrated Bio-neural circuitry, which would make the task more likely to succeed and make finding the Captain a probabili..."

Another voice. "...his is Deep Space 5. Raleigh, you are cleared to dock at Pyl..."

"Admiral Nechayev, here is the report you wanted..."

The Science station, confirmed Baphomet's worst fears and being a Vulcan was already several steps ahead of the mostly human crew.
She didn't want to betray the crew like this, but when it comes down to it she would quite willingly sacrifice her career and LIFE for the crews safety, and the way things have been going she realised that even all the best intentions were not enough, compared to human emotions.
So she pressed the execute button...

-Warning, SECTION 31 security override confirmed-

*Cut to engineering*

The emrgency evacuation klaxon began to sound and the emergency bulkheads came down as everyone in engineering safely got out.

All Command and Control stations shutdown, as did everything else except shields, atmospheric control and emergency lighting, all Command codes were locked out of the main Computer core...

-Warp core, emergency ejection complete-
-Warp core self destruct in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1-

A shockwave could be felt through the entire ship.

-Warp core detination complete, shields are still at one hundred percent-

Baphomet then stepped away from her now dark station awaiting the inevitable, plus an obvious explaination of how she has a SECTION 31 Command override code, that had been secretly placed in every Federation vessel since the Dominion war.

~Captain Taurik, an explaination might be prudent for the logically-challenged members of the crew~

Thats interesting.........I heard of a prometheus but I never been on one.......till now..........Yes I was reading up on the ships schematics.......

Why dont you have the components to build the second half of the ship ?.......

If the bottom section was destroyed *points to the bottom of the rivendell when its full seperated*.......if it was destroyed how can the rivendell go into warp with only 2 sections ?.......

Yes I am handy with computers.......I think I got into trouble with the evolutions cheif operations officer when he was on a date with the ships doctor...I sorta hacked the program that was running and turned all of the people into cows then made there table into a dancing cow.......I think they got upset......But it was fun........

Say do your storage bays have these items in it ?.....*then hands morgan a padd with schematics to make an armband with a built in computer with remote capabilities......*

Just something I would like to make so I could access different computers without carrying around one of those bulky tri corders......Actually its like a tricorder but so much more for the arm instead of the hand *smiles sweetly*

OOC**Think of an armband with a high tech computer with everything installed into it....computer accessing programs.........MEdical programs.......science programs......Everything a operations officer would need built into the computer forearm wrist glove sorta thing :).......

"Welcome back to the Bridge Commander, here is a report on events to date and current sensor readings"

She then turns to walk back to the Science Station, glancing at the observation room door.

Sensor logs are incomplete, Modifcation of logs evident.

Rivendell to Commander Freeman, a security breach in weapons control has been detected, logs edit'd.  Awaiting further commands.

To prevent possible damage to my inner core, all access control to my primary core have now been restricted.  Iniating Command Mode.  Ship wide holo emitters online.

Suggest monitoring of key areas and instigate logging of all duty personell and terminals.

*The voice of Legudon the Gallifreyan telepath agent resounds through the head of Taurik again, momentarily.*
"Fear not, we shall watch over your safety during your journey. You are a Vulcan, suppressing all emotion, but we read all, your entire being... we sense your fear. Soon we shall meet, and you will understand why we have called upon you..."
*The voice fades away again.*

Yes Mr Freeman. I believe if he is trained properly he could enhance many people sir. So I think sir it may have been the Gallyfrians that put a thought in his head to leave the ship to be trained to help them sir.

As Lt Commander Baphomet walked in I saw a look on a thde young Vulcan Females face that I am not used to. It showed as a look of fear.

I remember getting a call from Commander Freeman Sawing she was on her way to sick bay.

As she walked in I tried to calme her by sawing com commander you have nothing to fear hear i don't think I will find anything.

After about an hour on the bio bed, Commander Baphomet I thinkl what you are experiencing it a reminent of your time as a member of section 31. You have a guilt on your conscience and I believe the best person to talk to about it would be anothe Vulcan. I would suggest that when You can get the captain by himself some time I suggest you talk with him about it.

Taurik felt Commander Baphomet trying to reach out to him, and he had to project to hear everything she tried to say. He felt her losing consciousness, so he entered her mind.

"Commander, you must not try to project yourself to us here. It can cause considerable damage to your mind. As a fellow Vulcan, I believe I can trust you not to reveal to the crew what I am about to say. I am on Gallifrey. I am being trained in their ways, and have not quite completed my training yet. You must try to delay the crew from getting to Gallifrey, but you must not let they know you are doing it. You even have my permission to sabotage their efforts if necessary. If the Rivendell reaches this planet before I am ready for you, the ship and its entire crew will most likely be destroyed. Gallifreyans are quite xenophobic, and do not respond well to intruders. Remember, do not tell anyone of this, or allow yourself to be discovered.

He began to revive her telepathically, stimulating the neural connections in her brain.

"Awaken, Baphomet..."

Baphomet initiated a dedicated sensor sweep of the entire area inside and outside of the ship.

"The message seems to have used the ships own countermeasure system to accentuate the warning...sir."

 --The RED ALERT stopped--

"The RED ALERT has now been cancelled sir and we are now receiving telemetry from the warp-probe"

Baphomet transferred the telemetry data frm the warp-probe to the main viewer per Mr. Freeman's request.

--Captain Taurik's shuttle sits on  landing pad with him walking out of the shuttle.
Life signs are strong but there is the same energy reading pesent, as was detected onboard the Rivendell.--

*Orpues from what im sure your listening too with the crew.......We may need to take drastic measures to ensure your survival.........if thats the case.......you may want to use your utility droid and in such an emergency where we may need to destroy this ship you need to transfer your mind into that ultility droid and prepare to be beamed off with everyone else........I must attend with other matters to assist your crew we will talk again very soon.......*then HK47 comes back into Reality to talk with the rest of the rivendel crew*

The Channel is Open commander........Director.....I will attempt beam everyone off the rivendell and either they will land on the planet surface or land on the Evolution......but for now its best that everyone leaves save myself..Taurik...and Orpheus........Everyone else must get out......I have locked onto all life signs and preparing to beam them out.........Ive also got a lock on Kassie's life signs and shes going into Shock from all this.......Attempting to beam her off now.......

*then the Rivendells crew begins to disappear only to reappear on the Evolution........*

Dont worry Director Ill stay behind to ensure the safety of Taurik of Orphues.......and that I give you a droids word....................*then the director is beamed off the ship......only to arrive on the bridge of the evolution*

*turns to taurik.* Lets get to work.......We must shut this S31 program Down!.......

OOC**I hope that wasnt too Godly :)........I just pretty much Forced everyone except those that I named to be beamed off the ship........If I went over board tell me and ill modify

off:  Uh, I hate to burst peoples bubbles but the section 31 command paths are a little more advanced then just one file.  We started deleting it and Baphomet did her thing which activated it.
I have an idea that could be used by all.   Svensson, let Taurik delete the 1 command file cause it acts just like a morph virus and spreads itself out again waiting of activaton.

Don't mean to be bossy  :-)

Baphomet walks on to the bridge and takes her post at the science station...(after aclimatising herself with the Rivendell, and setting up her asigned quarters to her unique style) Noticing the Captain leave, she felt a sudden burst of Psionic energy.
=/\= Science station to engineering, increase power to the internal sensors, chief so I can conduct a omplete scan in all th frequency band-widths? =/\=

After initiating a pre-sequence sensor algorithm, Lt. Commander Baphomet, new Chief science officer of the USS Rivendell, promptly collapsed.

OOC: I am guessing what the Captain felt was Psionic energy due to a Vulcans own telepathic abilities?

"I am still confused myself Commander Baphomet, who you really are. Are you Starfleet? Section 31? Both? Either way your actions even for the better of the ship were illegal. And so i will confine you to your quarters with no computer access until i get detailed orders from Avalon Command. Commander Freeman you may do whatever needed to get us one step better than we are. I don't know what Section 31 has to do with anything really and i intend to meet with a friend from that walk to put it to rest. I want a message sent to Avalon Station directly telling them we need repair teams and some sort of tow asap. I think we have faster chance waiting for them than risking moving ourselves. Although i am no engineer by any means. If thier is a way that is not risky we can try it."

Taurik turns his attention to the long-incapacitated tactical officer standing before him once again.

"It is good to see you awake again, Lieutenant. Under normal circumstances, I would advise you get another night of rest, but we are rather shorthanded in the tactical department at the moment. You may return to duty as soon as you feel able."

Freemans Turbolift comes screching to a halt and he is stuck between decks 1 and 2.   Attempting to hail the computer or anyone else on the bridge fails.   Freeman opens the hatch at the top of the lift carefull to store the padd in his jumpsuit before climbing up the top of the lift.

After what seems like an eternity Freeman makes it out of the lift and climbs the half level to the bridge.   Opening the door by the manual release raises himself up to the bridge.  and in an instant has his type 1 hand phaser out.

"Commander Travis, what in the #### happened.    Who exicuted a Section 31 code? "

Just then emergency power  is restored to the bridge and communications come back online.

=A= Thomas to Freeman =A=
We got power back and the reactor is holding.  It looks like both sections of the core were jettisoned.   Where not going anywhere fast.

=A= Freeman to Thomas =A=
I will get the main computer back up.  See if you can't get some of these emergency bulkheads raised and the turbolifts back.

=A= Thomas to Freeman =A=
Aye sir, we'll let you know
=A= out =A=

"When I find out who did this" Freeman says as he rips open an access panel.  "I just got the d*mn thing put back together."
