(OFF: Well, I meant set the course, but don't engage until they try to leave.)

"I suppose that would be prudent, Commander."

*At that moment, the Skytoucher goes full thrusters in reverse, away from the three Rivendell parts... and on the viewscreen, the only indication of the ship they have, nebula gas fills the empty area between the Rivendell and the Skytoucher, fading the captured ship from view. Soon, the ship is no longer visible...*

OFF: Vakin's not retreating, but working on a spectacular maneuvre, so just act confused until he appears again :P

Cpt. Taurik: "Open fire."

Lt. Baklavar: "Firing!"

A phaser beam fires from the port ventral phaser array, and rakes the Skytoucher along the top of the tactical hull (the triangular dish on the top of a Nebula class).

Lt. Baklavar: "Direct hit, Captain!"

Cpt. Taurik: "Try to restrain weapons fire to engines and weapons systems."

**In Shuttlebay 2**
"Lt. Walker up here"  Morgan calls from the second floor control station  as he walks to the ladder and climbs down.  

"Ok I just finished testing the shield frequency scanner that I installed into the sensors..   Even if they manage to change the shield frequency we can scan it so that we don't end up bouncing off the shields. "

"I think we can go through the shields and beam out Miss love before he can hurt her and get out with our butts in tact. How about you fly us in and I will handle getting us through the shields and out again."

Morgan walks over to an open panel on the starboard side of the runabout walking with Lt Walker.  In between talking to the Lt he yells a few orders the the engineering crew working on the runabout.  

"Lt, we also managed to get an extra 15% shield effenciey  and a 5% manuvarablity increase.  She sould get us there and back again.

Off:  I have no objection to calling the runabout arwen, dumb question though, remind me who arwen is.

OFF:Could someone fill me in. I had to got o a funeral.

"I agree. Each ship is faster on its own. Commander Travis, you will command the upper stardrive section, and Commander Freeman, you will take the lower. Mr Nofftz, go with Commander Travis, and Mr. Balkazar with Commander Freeman."

Once everyone had left the bridge, Taurik sat in his chair with Mr. Baklavar at tactical.

"Computer, initiate Multi-Vector Assault Mode."

Computer: "Acknowledged. Separation in ten seconds."

Computer: "Separation complete."

Getting up I wander off the ship hoping to catch the Captainat the pub.

Off:  Balkazar, yes each section has at least 2 torpedo tubes and one Quantum torpedo tube.  Its a pretty buff ship.    

On: Prepare to enter the nebula.   Mr. Balkazar  lets emit a radion pulse see what bounces off and back at us.  (Similar to good old fasion radar.)

We are ready to enter the nebula, standing by to run a radion scan to find the skytoucher.   Reccommend all three sections do this is sync to cover more ground.

*The third section of the Rivendell enters the nebula chasing after the ion trail of the Skytoucher.

*Commander Freeman arrives on the bridge*

"Captain, we can still use the runabout to rescue Miss Love.     Lt. Walker and I  and a few crewmen can take section 3 of the Rivendell and arrive at the Nebula First.  When the Skytoucher arrives we can get her out of there."

=/\= Nofftz to Taurik. Sir, I am Lt. Commander Nofftz. I am Cheif Operations/Second officer. I was in command of the Skytoucher when Vakin started this incedient. I may not specialize in security but I know quite a bit about Strategic Operations.   I would like your permission to try to retake the bridge. =/\=

=/\= Taurik to Nofftz. I would not suggest it. Most of the Skytoucher's crew is off the ship, and Mr. Vakin has control of most of the primary systems. We are working on getting the prefix codes to lower the shields, please stand by and await further instructions. =/\=

**IN SHUTTLEBAY 2**
Mitch enters Shuttlebay 2 as he looks around for Commander Freeman, he sees shuttle techs and engineering crewmen running around a runabout called Arwen.  

OFF:  I figured we could stick with the LOTR theme in naming the runabout, objections, let me know and I'll change it.    

(He monitors the situation on his station. He acknowledges with a curt salute to what Mr. walker replied and returns to his station. He readies the photon banks for firing on the engine as he was told. He then turns around and declares.)

Well. Do you wish me to continue phaser's locked on the engines. I am sure that would still be a good move in case they try to attempt an escape. It would be just much easier should the shield's go down. I will only damage enough to keep them from leaving. Your call. Captain.

(As he awaits his orders and readies himself to fire on command. He sits and listens for his command.)

Off: Be back in four days. If you want him to fire. Go right ahead. . Other than that, Be well everyone.)

Target being maintained even going through the nebula. Sensors are being a little on the fritz though. Captain.  I like this seperation sequence. Impressive indeed to actually SEE it in action. Fire when ready. Just give the word. Captain.

(Solark peers intently at the tactical screen twitching to press that "fire" button. . lol.)

"I have just learned that the attack on the bridge will not succeed. Commander, I am going over to the Skytoucher. You have the bridge."

Taurik leaves for the transporter room, and transports over.

(A faint sniff of smoke is rising in the air. A faint sniff of burnt flesh and smoke comes from somewhere near the tactical council. A putrid smell at that. Smells of plasma burns not tended for the last many hours...........................................:). Got play it. It's kinda funny. he he.)

Very well. I await your orders. Captain. I have weapons aimed on Orpheus's coordinates at the left shield array of the Skytoucher. I am sure Orpheus and Mr. Black will take care of the rest on what's needed. Captain. Target locked on. Awaiting orders..................

"In fact, my shift is soon to expire. You have the bridge, Ms. B'Elanna. Computer, begin Gamma Shift."

The turbolift doors hiss open. Taurik retreats within them, and they close.

The turbolift on the other side of the bridge opened, and Captain Taurik walked out of it.

"Mr. Vakin has control of the Skytoucher, and he has refused to give up Ms. Love. Tactical, target all phaser banks on the Skytoucher's engines and prepare to fire on my command."

"Commander, the Skytoucher has been hijacked and we are currently trying to racapture it."

"Sir, I'm heading out of the nebula."  

Mitch began to navigate his way out of the nebula.

Standing on the bridge of the Rivendell Watching the skytoucher was a scary thought to the young Lt. Commander. He wanted to do something. BUT WHAT!

The ship shakes slightly as phaser fire comes a little to close for comfort.

Mr Balkazar:  Prepare a securty team in shulttle bay 2.  On my order you are to launch the runabout and preceed to the docking port directly behind and underneith the bridge on deck two.  
Your mission objective is to recover Miss Love and to subdue Vakin.

Mr Nofftz:  Can you fly a runabout?

In the turbolift on the way to the bridge, the young lieuteant tugged on his uniform, a nervous habit he had developed, and ran his fingers through his hair, brushing it out of his eyes.  After arriving he had been briefed and hastily assigned to the Rivendell - Walker had reviewed the crew manifest and all the logs. His photographic memory allowed Walker's mind to be moving a million miles a second, figuring out what could be done to prevent this situation.  Then he had an idea, it was risky and could take a long time, but it might work. Then the turbolift came to a stop and Mitch exited the lift and headed to the command chair.

*Mitch noted that Commander Travis was in the command chair*

"Commander Travis, Lt. Walker reporting sir, I've been briefed on the situation and I have an idea."

Greetings, Captain Taurik. Apparently, Vakin has beamed me to Celtic Corner. Regardless, Hermes has informed me that Commander Rasmain is still onboard the Skytoucher, and he is currently working with an alien device that Vakin planted on the ship. We have made some limited studies of the device, but we do not know what it is, othen than that it can emit high levels of radiation. I do not know your plans, but I thought you should know that Mr. Rasmain is on the ship and he is also working to capture Vakin.

OFF: Ok, this mission is more or less completed now. Only repairs need to be done now. A new mission involving a Loxian battle will soon present itself. Meanwhile, could all Skytoucher crew please beam back to the Skytoucher, if they haven't yet?

OFF: the Skytoucher has just managed to fully enter the nebula. Rasmain got the activation code of the Loxian device just in time (though nobody else but Skon knows about it yet) and now his communication link with Hermes is severed. He's on his own now, in there.

To the Captain and crew of the Uss. Rivendell. Any who think they might need some counselling are here by told to drop by my Office in sick bay during my duty shift.

Commander Freeman, I don't think we should do that. If we run into enemy ships we could leve the Skytoucher Vunrable.

The chief helm officer slides into the chair at the helm and swivels around to face the console.  He places his hands on the console and lets out a sigh.  As the Ferangi addresses him he turns back around and flashes a smile.  

"Thanks Solark."

"I must say i'm not the best ops person. What are your intentions to return the Skytoucher Captain?"

A message comes through from a concealed area on the Skytoucher.

WElcome back Captain, your presence has been greatly missed.  For your persusal before launch, certain information privvy to the fleet admiral is at your disposal if and when you seek permission from teh council.  The Database contains ship schematics and control codes.  You may thank hermes after the mission for hte information.

Captain. BAH! I have only been shocked a little. I am doing fine. Captain. I will get a check up when this mission is over. Blasted Tactical Console. It only feels like I had a major hangover that's all. I be fine. (He slowly awakens off the floor from  his sudden shock to the system. His clothes are partially burned from the hot plasma  and he has burn marks and bleeding in part of his face and chest area and his left arm, but he kinda winces a bit as he sits and begins typing coordinates for long range scanners to begin checking the area for the skytoucher since he no longer sees it on the view screen.) Well Captain. It seems we are no longer in view. I only briefly gotten word as the Skytoucher disappeared. Is it possible that they may have "cloaked." I am scanning also for warp signatures or any form of trail left by the Skytoucher to give us any indication of it's possible trail or perhaps location. Dam. I love these nebula gasses. They are quite annoying. (He looks like he has not felt any worse for ware except his body is still "shaking" from the shock.................................., but he works away.........He been drinking way to long to not be used to some sort of shakes.........:). he he. You definetly notice also lots of wincing in the face as he fights to focus his attention on his duty. He manages to take care what he needs despite the pain.................:).)

Stardate 57818: I am currently a bit fried for the moment, but plans for an openning of the bar/food bar known as the Sinfully Delightful Cuisine is going as scheduled. I need to make final plans to make my proposal to Captain Taurik. I have received clearance from Avalon Station by Admiral Vorak to be able to run this establishment on the Rivendell as a way to pay for my past crimes on Deep Space Nine and run it legitimately to the service of this crew on their off duty. Now I need to speak to Captain Taurik to get final approval. Perhaps. I can finally pay my debt to Starfleet for the mischief I caused

Off: More to come and yes. It was ok by Vorak to open on the Rivendell as a topic, a food/bar court. I did discuss this briefly with Taurik not to long ago. It's just that I need speak to him some more about it. lol. Montrell also granted permission. It's part of my character's storyline that I thought might bring a few more smile if the ship goes on hietatous or goes to stand still for a while. I hope everyone is ok with it. With careful politing skills by our helmen space is irreleveant for an MVA.  

While shields are still active around the skytoucher, a transporter lock is ineffective.  Suggestion Target Left Shield array causing damage to the deflector node controlling that shield.

Repair crews will need to be notified of repair after the situation is resolved.

Capt with all due respect.......Vakin was in my charge and he still is until he is in prison or dead for what hes done..........My officers have every right to disobey me but they wont.............I dont send my men in unless there is some chance of success......Lucas was one of the officers aboard the ship during the vakin situation at vontak nor and i would feel better sending him.......If he wont do it I wont force him........But right now........Its either me or him who goes on that shuttle.........Again this suggestion is with all due respect........

OFF**......Balkazar feels responsible in some ways for vakin and he would feel alot better if he sent one of his own men to help with teh capt of vakin.......Once when vakin is taken outta the picture then ill go over to the ship and you can get rid of this Hot headed and yet stubborn characters at times when he knows what hes talking about is right ............

Thought id explain from his point of veiw so you wouldnt yell at him or even worse SEND HIM TO THE BRIG!

OFF: ok, let's assume this was the finale of the mission. Well done, everyone. The idea now is that the ships return to Avalon Station, and as soon as they are clear from the Expansion Nebula, the Skytoucher crew can beam over to their ship again asap. Then repairs can begin on the ships (especially Skytoucher, who had most of the beating, but the Rivendell got some damage to deal with too).

Rivendell to Skytoucher.  This is Commander Freeman you are surrounded.  Release Miss. Love and stand down.

OFF: Seeing that with this mission, the beginning of a relation ship between Love and Skon should be started, and that the Rivendell is already inside the nebula, perhaps Skon could decide that it is "illogical" to stand by and watch, and decides to take a shuttle from the station and head into the nebula too.

Yes, Captain. All phaser banks are locked on target on Skytoucher's engine. Ready to fire on command. Captain. Commander.

Addressing Mr. Walker as he observes him being very nervous from his outspoken remark quckly states:
Eh. Mr. Walker. Don't worry you are doing fine. Just do your job and you do your duty. That's important. No idea is regarded as a bad one in this case or situation.

Addressing quickly to Balkbazar:
Sorry right now I am a bit on the busy side. Taking care of business right now. Thank you, Mr. Balkazar. I am sure Mrs. Belanna or Mr. Travis can give ya some work for you to assist us with.

(Returning his attention to the task on his station. He punches in his coordinates and prepares the phaser's for a little action of it's own.......................)

=/\=Aye sir, on my way.=/\=  Mitch turns to Freeman, "Commander, another time prehaps?"  Mitch lightly saluted the Lt. Commander as he ran out the door to the bridge.

**On the bridge**
Mitch exited the turbolift onto the bridge he relieved the ensign at the helm and slid into his post.  

"We really should stop meeting like this darling," he said to the helm console "next time it's drinks at my place."  

Mitch whipped the ship around with ease and sent the Rivendell out into space.  

"Sir, we're in pursuit of the Skytoucher."  Mitch thought to himself:  Who taught this guy how to drive...he's all over the place...wait...he's heading for the Expansion nebula.  

"Captain, navigational sensors show that the Skytoucher is heading for the Expansion Nebula, should I attempt to overtake him sir?"

Suddenly an energy tendril shoots out from the nebula.  Mitch attempts to dodge it but he cannot.  

"Brace for impact!  Firing reverse thrusters!"  

As the tendril hits the small vessel, Mitch fires the reverse thrusters forcing the ship to stay in the same spot, but his console explodes, sending the young lieutenant to the ground.  The side of his face and his uniform are burned with plasma.  

An ensign runs to take his place.  Mitch yells at the young man.  "Get away from my console ensign."  Mitch stands up and goes back to the helm.  Mitch forcefully wipes the blood from the console, but more continues to flow from his bleeding head.  

"Sir...there was some damage done to the ship...but not enough that we can't keep going."

(OFF: An antimatter torpedo would be no different than a photon torpedo, since all torpedoes contain antimatter. And it's not really fair to have an instant-kill...)

You have full power to all systems at your command sir.    Engineering standing by.

"Of course. Admiral Detrell or Commander Morrow on Avalon may be able to help you finish sooner."
Taurik turns to the viewscreen.
"Lock a tractor beam onto the Skytoucher and drag it out of the nebula until a transporter lock can be acquired."

Commander Nofftz take ops.  Give us the best eyes that you can.

Tactical:  If you see a shot to alert the Skytoucher that we are serious take it.

Yes sir.....Firing now *Balkazar fires a best guess of where the bow of the skytoucher is at*

OFF**Freeman I cant be at both helm and tactical So ill just say after the fly bye on the skytoucher ill transfer helm control to tactical so i can do both

Well. Commander. Well. That changes everything. I will be awaiting your orders. I can continue as before or await a new plan of action. I can try that tractor beam idea since the shields are down to keep the skytoucher at bay with the Rivendell............I await your orders.

 Sir we may have figured out a solution to this problem.  I have the Skytoucher's Shield frequency.  We can program a runabouts frequency to match and then we can go right through the shield and transport Miss Love off the ship.  Then we can flood the ship with nestazine gas rendering Vakin unconcious.

Eek. Am I to assume. Mr. Baklavar sufferred permanent character death. LOL. I am bound to roleplay that part on principles of roleplaying in general. Mr. Taurik. It's REALLY happenning. Slightly concerned. He IS slowly dying. I was not sure if I was clear. An action has been done and I am falling unconscious. I REALLY don't want this character  DEAD!! This is not good. I am sorry to say and no one has responded. Ouch on me if I was not clear of my intent. Sorry about that. LOL. It would be my dam fault if I kick the bucket and you need a new lieutenant for the tactical officer's position job. lol. . .  Thank you.

Sir I used my security codes of the shields........I took there engines out....Its a direct hit........Im rotating shields constently and ill try and get a shot on the shields matrix

The saucer section shakes hard from the concussive blast of the Skytoucher's assault on the upper stardrive section.

"There is no time to explain it. I will trust your judgement, Ms. B'Elanna. Implement your plan."

*At that moment, the Skytoucher slowly rises up behind the middle Rivendell section, as if showing up out of nowhere... The ship had retreated to become invisible in between the nebula gas, but had ducked lower and moved under the Rivendell, using the advantage of having blind sensors in this nebula. The Skytoucher fires all available weapons, and in a burst of power the Rivendell is fired upon, catching them off-guard.*

OFF: Captain Taurik, the Skytoucher is still docked at Avalon. If you want to pursuit the Evolution, go ahead but they are in the Dark Passage :P. Please follow the progress in the Skytoucher forum before embarking on a resque . But when they do leave, you are the first one who can go on pursuit.

Off:  In a nebula such as this it should be possible to communicate a little, Right?.  

Mr. Balkazar: fire another warning shot.  Get as close to the ship as you can without hitting it.  Lets shake it up a bit.

"Captain The runabout that we equiped to go rescue Miss Love is in our section.  Request permission to go get her back.  We can fly the runabout within 100 K of the skytoucher bridge and then get a transporter lock on Love.

"We have just docked at Avalon Station, Commander.  I will be heading to sickbay to treat my injuries."  

Mitch rises from his chair, an ensign takes his place, he heads for the turbolift.  

OFF: the Skytoucher is occupied now with trying to retrieve the location of the Skytoucher. If you check the Skytoucher forum and topic, you will see that there will be a fight and struggle between Rasmain and Vakin soon. From the moment they are fighting, the Rivendell manages to succesfully discover the location of the Skytoucher within the nebula, reach this location and open fire - nothing big, a warning shot to show Vakin you're serious (after all, you on the Rivendell have no clue what is going on at the Skytoucher at that moment) so that the Skytoucher ends up shaking back and forth a little. Thereafter, Vakin will head to the bridge (after Rasmain is rendered unconscious) and open firepower on the Rivendell with the Skytoucher. Then a Wrath of Khan battlescene can follow.

OFF: Rasmain is injured, and Vakin has returned to the bridge. Now is the perfect time to open fire on the Skytoucher. Remember that in this nebula, its impossible to perfectly target all your shots, so you are bound to miss some. The closer you get, the more precise you can fire (and the more damage you do), but the same goes the other way around for the Skytoucher, of course. Keep in mind that you don't want the ship too badly damaged, or destroyed. First of all, you don't want to lose the ship, and secondly, there's still a civilian (and Rasmain) on board as well.

Walks onto the main bridge with a Padd in his hand and walks over to the Captain.

"Sir here is the repair estimate for the ship.   it will take about five days to get the ship back up to full functionallity.  I would like to begin imediatly as soon as we dock with Avalon.

"If you have any ideas, Orpheus, please feel free to share them. Mr. Baklavar, peruse the records Hermes sent us. Try to find anything we can use to our advantage."

(OFF: I had assumed you had already taken yourself to sickbay...)

"Very well, target the shield node and fire a confined beam. Fire only long enough to cut through the shield and damage the node. Orpheus, when the shield is down, transport the security teams near the turbolift door on Deck 2."

OFF: basically, the Skytoucher managed to inflict some damage to the Rivendell. Skon and Balkazar were able to get aboard the ship, but Vakin had injected Paris Love with a deadly virus. Skon negotiated Vakin's free escape into the Expansion Nebula, in return for the cure of the virus. Vakin is beyond our reach now, the Skytoucher is back under control, and both ships are heading back out of the nebula to go back to Avalon station.

Captain Taurik, with all do respect, I need something to do. I can't just sit here while this is happening. I can take Ops or tactical or even a science station. I don't care. I blame myself for what happened on the ship and I want to make up for it. I will work on a damage crew. I also agree with mister Freeman. We should procede. But the final call is yours.

Readying for evasive maneuvering. I hate to see you lose a tactical officer on account of being baked in a 350 degrees oven  by plasma burns. Eeeww..:).

An medical ensign comes in during his off time and notices a body on the floor near the tactical council. He calls in the medical team and checks for signs of life. There is LIFE! still and smoke STILL coming out of his nose and chest area. They FINALLY rush him to sick and treat his burns and slowly put him under in a peaceful sleep for the next few days. Till the next mission at least. He will be a sadder, but wiser and more crispier Ferengin for it. Also he will be wanting a drink REAL bad when he awakens, but he will be on the next mission perhaps. So it's sad though. Poor Ferengi. No drink for the injured......................................:).)

(From the viewscreen, You see two shots explode just above the bridge area of the ship to be used as a warning shot. The phaser banks took a shot at the engine perimeters and smack a direct hit and you begin to see something like smoke coming out of the engine area since another shot was taken earlier by the other ship. . (:).lol.) A third warning shot was fired just to the side of the ship and two just in front of the bridge area of the Skytoucher. The shot was aimed as an blinding effect to their viewscreen by colliding the shots together other if possible...........................................:).

That would make a lot of sence. Not that Mr Vakin is making a lot of sence, which is something I have been watching over for the last few day Captain I think that man is liable to do anything. The crew of the shuttle will be on there own if Mr Vakin was to detect what they are doing  and the shield Modulation. And they would just be more hostages.

"You are the Chief Engineer, correct? We can use your knowledge of the Skytoucher's computer systems to override Vakin's control and drop the shields. If this fails, we use the Rivendell's tactical superiority to our advantage, and take the Skytoucher by force."

"Tactical, lock phasers on the Skytoucher, just in case. Target the engines and weapons only."

The Tactical console suddenly lashes out, spewing hot plasma sparks all over Lieutenant Baklavar.

Taurik rises from the command chair and replaces Solark at the Tactical console.

"Firing again."

The phaser beam misses the Skytoucher completely.

"I must admit, the nebula's gasses do not make targetting easy."

OFF: Vakin is taking the ship out of dock, and setting a course at full impulse to the nearby Expansion Nebula. Rasmain established a secret communication link with Hermes, who is helping him out to figure out what the device does and how it can be operated. The problem is, once the Skytoucher enters the nebula, the nebula distortions will make all sensors practically blind, and block all subspace communications of any sort. Hermes will be disconnected from the Skytoucher and no longer be able to talk to Rasmain. The Skytoucher AND the Rivendell would be flying blind in there (remember the nebula from Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan, same kind...). The idea is that the Skytoucher reaches this nebula and manages to enter it. That way, the Rivendell will have to pursue... this could be a nice exciting story that finally includes the infamed Expansion Nebula some more for the first time. Needless to say that inside the nebula, transporting from one ship to the next will not be possible either, too much interference... Have fun

Captain I am here if you think that there may be some need for counciling

Mitch had dismissed his idea quickly when he saw the captian enter the bridge.  But Freeman's idea would work, he could do that.  He felt a need to prove himself to his captain, the crew, and all of those people who said that he had gotten the position on the Rivendell because his father was good friends with Picard.  Walker took a deep breath and started talking.  

"Captian, Commander Freeman's idea will work.  But once you pass through their shields it will bring your shields down for about 5 seconds, which would leave you open for an attack to anyone who notices...if they can find you.  Captain, I can get you in and get you back out, baring no "complications" in less than 25 seconds."

After he had spoken he realized that he had just broken about 100 rules with both the captian and the lieutenant commander and he snapped to attention, and mentally kicked himself.

OFF:  Arwen is Aragon's (Stryder) love intrest, she is also the Elven princess, she lives in Rivendell.

Captain Taurik, I obtained the activation code for the Loxian device and transmitted it to Commander Rasmain. I do not know if he received my transmission. I request permission to beam aboard your ship before you enter the nebula.

Captain there are a number of problems with sperating and going into that nebula, as I see it what happens to the crew if the targeting scenors are out and you shoot blindly and hit the wrong ship.

After some time of fidding with controls the usual LCARs beep is heard

"Got it Captain. It'll take 5 minutes to get the shields down."

OFF: The nebula particles distort subspace communications, most particularly on long range, and render sensors blind. Short range communications will work only  partially (alot of distortion in the sound, and an unclear image on the viewscreen). As for sensors to locate other ships... your sensors will go no further than a meter or so from the ship, let alone detect another ship. Targetting scanners are offline. All you know, is what a distorted view on the viewscreen shows you. Flying and shooting will have to be fully manual, without sensor input.

Orpheus suggestion is to split into three ships and flank the Skytoucher. That's what I have received Captain. Weapons are ready on contact. I could also suggest since we are vicinity of Avalon Base. Have there weapons ready and shields up in case on Avalon Base. Or we can use the tractor beam of this ship and that of  the base to "hold" them at bay as well. A double threat tactic if you wish to call it. Do you wish me to have transporter room lock on the hostages and have them put up security shields around the area in the transporter room on this ship so security can come from our vantage point to secure the area once we beam them on board....................Your call Captain.

No worries. Captain. I have them on target and IN range. Captain. Phasers locked on engines of Skytoucher. Coordinates are set. Say the word. The engines will be out of commission before they warp a single light year.

(In the tactical viewscreen, the coordinates show that the engines of the skytoucher are in range.  Solark sets the coordinates for the firing sequence and awaits orders to fire.)

Captain. I fire when YOU are ready. Give the word. They are in range now.................................Captain. At your command. All systems go. Ah. Finally some action for this bad boy.................:).

(OFF: Not the name I would have picked, but I'm fine with it. Besides, it makes sense considering the Rivendell's name...)

Mitch stares at the large swirling "cloud" on the viewscreen.  They are flying blind in there, Mitch thought.  Mitch smiled and muttered "Nice...."

As the viewscreen went blank.

"Ops, readjust the viewscreen please."  

A static filled picture of the nebula filled the screen.
