"How is your checking round going, Mr. Chellick? Can I be of assistance in any way?"

OFF: Chellick, could you please check the Mission Planning forum, the topic about the reviving activity on Avalon station please. That way you know where I want to head to with this :)

That early morning, when Chris Chellick still lay asleep before he had to get up to go on duty, the lights in his room suddenly became bright, even though he hadn't ordered it.
"Good morning, Mr. Chellick. This is Hermes at your command. Today looks like a wonderful day, with bright shining stars. I have taken the liberty to check your duty planning, and it seems that there isn't much on the agenda today. So perhaps today would be a good day to do your tour around the station, to make a report on the status of each department? After all, we like things to run optimal, don't we? I felt free to monitor the subspace communications, and I believe that Flag Admiral Vorak will return soon. Well, you know the code... if you need Hermes, just knock twice on the computer."

*Hermes, the station's AI was talking to Chellick through his combadge the whole time he when he left to check the staiton for activity*

Hermes, I can't seem to find Commander Savali.
is there anything you can do about it? maybe you could take command of the academy... oh wait, *thinks to himself* {An A.I. running the Academy??} , I am not sure. Oh never mind.  Right now we have several cadets wanting to learn but they don't have a leader. What do you think we can do about it Hermes?

OFF: Already read it :) good stuff.
OFF: How about whenever  I leave, instead of hunting me down and talking to me like that we make it seem like you are talking to me through my combadge?
It might make things easier.

"Of course, Mr. Chellick, to perform optimally you require a drink and some food when your stomach requests it. Allow me to go through the crew list meanwhile."

OFF: ok, but at C.C. I will post there too, because it will involve more people and I was already posting there anyway :)

"Mr. Detrell has linked several personality subroutines to my A.I. program, with the intention to make my voice appearance and communication capabilities closer to the customs of the humanoid races that are on this station. This way, I will be able to increase my performance optimality."

Good to hear that :) Well, you are most welcome to stay of course. After all, we still have the Hermes-going-insane plot to play out :) Any ideas?
Title: Hermes, the station's A.I.
Post by: Chris Chellick on February 28, 2004, 01:04:44 AM
Well, I'd like to get rid of Chris Chellick, Allen West, Daniel Reeves, Marotek, Roland Burma, Starphoenix: Micheal Triton, and Ryan Reynolds.

OFF: Perhaps you could work in some deaths into the storyline? ;)

I would like to keep Jeff Keach, Jonathan Mason, and everyone from Omega and FSS that I have. and also from Intel.

OFF2: did you get my message through instant messaging? I cannot check my messages since I am still trying to repair my logging in files or cookies

*Chris rubs his eyes after being woken up and quickly gets up and gets a drink from the replicator*

Coffee, decaffinated hot

*the computer replicated his drink*

*takes a sip and looks over some of his notes on his desk*

Computer, show me the location of the academy aboard the station.

*the location appeared on his console*

{I think I will go there first, then maybe to the Embassy}

*He got up and headed for the Academy*

OFF: What exactly am I supposed to do? make a status report like a ship captain would on a ship?

Title: Hermes, the station's A.I.

Me teach? I don't know I don't think that is something for me. Hermes, couldn't we find someone to do this instead?

in the mean time, I need to get something to eat, so I will go down to the Celtic Corner.

OFF:of course, that is exactly what i was thinking.:)

"Well, I complete faith in your abilities Major :). But since we don't have much experience with the A.I, I would like to know what happens with it's subroutines and such. Next time, fill me in on the matter and for this time I just await your weekly report ;)"

                 =A= Montrell out =A=

*Montrell entered his office*

"It seems I need to do the work myself this time!"

Title: Hermes, the station's A.I.

*gasp* Roland Burma... so the Skytoucher switches captain once more lol.
*gasp again* Daniel Reeves is you too

Ok, let's take this from the practical side. In fact, I had no clue all those chars were you lol.

Chris Chellick should post to reply to Hedford in Ops (see recent posts in the other topic in this forum) where he could walk up sadly to Hedford and apologizing for not responding to his order to report, because you were packing your bags, since you were reassigned in the Alpha Quadrant.

Daniel Reeves: perhaps could you continue to post with him until the Evolution returns to Avalon station, whereafter you resign your commission to return to Bajor to pursue a religious life, after having had a vision at the Temples of Sordinan?

Roland Burma: could be killed in an upcoming attack on Vontak Nor (you probably dont know, but the Loxians - not the rebels but the government - are making their way to there now, and in force) whereafter Skon will become captain.

Marotek: isnt he an engineer on the Skytoucher? If so, he could be killed in the same attack.

Allen West: please refresh my memory where he is stationed.

Starphoenix chars: I suggest you discuss this with adm. Sullivan how you best end those chars in the storylines that go on there.

A few other questions:
- Are you also the same Mason that is stationed on the USS Phoenix? If so, do you intend to keep him?
- Are you going to keep Dhante on the Delta Alliance?

I hope you dont mind to play with the other characters still, until fate sweeps them away, even if it is posting at a minimum.

As for the cookie problems: check the Admiral's Office forum on this board, there is a topic there that explains you what to do if you dont stay logged in. It should be fixed fairly simply :)

OFF: Admiral Vorak loves status reports :P, especially if they proove that the station has been in good hands ;)
Title: Hermes, the station's A.I.

"Give me a moment to check the location of Mr. Savali... Hmm.. it appears I cannot locate Mr. Savali, so it is a likely suggestion that he is either not on board the station right now, or his combadge is inactive. Do you have any teaching experience yourself, Mr. Chellick?"

OFF: you mean that whenever you go to some place, I still post in this forum to reach you through combadge, so we can keep the storyline limited to one topic as much as possible? Sounds good :) But Hermes may still post in other forums, whenever he talks to other people (such as Detrell) because he's capable of multi-tasking, and thus can speak with several people at the same time. ;)

=^= Chellick here sir =^=

Admiral Montrell I assure you that I thought you wouldn't mind if I over step my bounds a little and take charge of this matter. Hermes has informed me of the exact changes he wants to make and they seemed legitimate.

so... yes I did give clearance for his transformation.

Ok here is what you need to do:

.) Click the tools button at the top of your browser
2.) Select "Internet Options" from the list
3.) Select the "Privacy" tab
4.) Click the "Edit" button
5.) Type in "expansionfleet.com" and select "Always allow"

Then do the same for "expansionfleet.net"

As for the private message, yes I got it (now that I know you're Jonathan Mason too) and I responded to it. Thank you for building the website, it will be linked to the Expansion main site :)

I have replied in the Starphoenix board and the matter should be settled soon.

As for Avalon, thank you Montrell, perhaps someday I will return to Avalon :)

OFF: The good news, in trying to keep track of what characters I was trying to get rid of I may have, in my haste mistakingly added Chellick to that list, I am sorry for giving the wrong impression of him. But I would like to keep him, he is fun to roleplay.

Sorry Montrell ;)

"Ah, the Academy. A good choice, Mr. Chellick. I wanted to talk to the commanding officer of the Academy before, but there was nobody there to answer me. By the way, Mr. Chellick, I hope it is fine with you that I scheduled your lunch break today at 1pm, and reserved a lunch meal for you at Celtic Corner?"

OFF: it's not so much about the reports in particular. This Hermes project is actually meant to keep activity on the station alive, including on the several different departments. And also, I hope that this topic can become a new mission on the station, that includes all station personnel :)

Montrell puts a smile on his face and stands up. He straightens his uniform and heads towards the newly arrived Major

"Welcome Major Franks, long time no see. I am sorry, but I don't recognize everyone from the old days. I just read that you are one of the new teachers onboard Station Avalon, we are happy to have such a good one aboard ;)"

Montrell turns towards one of the windows in his office and searches his favorite star again

"Well Major, you asked me for permission to plan a party? I will only give you permission, if I am invited too ;)" Montrell said with a smile on his face

I am glad that you approve of the website, perhaps I could develop it to include everything about the Delta Quadrant Intelligence?

And no I am not Mason from the Phoenix.

about Dhante I don't wish to keep him any longer.

I will also try to post for the other characters until which time the storyline carries them to their fate.

Ok that's yet another Mason then lol, but he hasn't posted in a long time. Thanks for posting till those chars have ended :) And perhaps you could post with Dhante, as soon as we arrive with the Revox at the Traquel base, that you request transfer to the base itself? That would deal with that too.

What do you mean about  a website of Delta Quadrant Intelligence? The D.A. website itself is actually integrated in the Expansion website.

No you are correct Dhante is also my character. I feel that I need to reduce my number of characters. Perhaps only keep a couple maybe four or five. This should help to increase the creativity of the responses, if other people are posting as these positional characters.

Actually what I said was Delta Quadrant Intelligence, which is the FSS and Intel merged. I thought it was posted like that on the FSS and Intel board?
