Title: Mission 10: Repairing Avalon Station
Post by: Taurik on June 25, 2003, 06:42:34 PM
Captain, the Evolution just completed a diagnostic on Avalon's tactical systems. The station's tactical system has sustained heavy electrical damage, almost a third of the station's wiring needs to be replaced, and there is heavy damage to the weapons systems on the outside of the station.

"Yes, Gentlemen, you have understood well the Principle of our Phase Cloack. Just a lil detail : imagine a Daughter glued to your hull while the Zygon Regeneratin System is fully working and the Planetary Phase Cloack also. She is imprisoned and can't dig a hull in the hull. And, more, she can be howtosay "eaten" by the Zygon Matrix which needs environmental material (let's say, the matter around the Station) to create more and more protection...
You get it, now?"
+++Bleep+++
///I hope it's good news, now///
"Gambit, here."
"Talk, Gambit"
"Just received a command from Counsellor Keriadoc. We will stop trying to contact KeyHole."
"Ah."*takes a deep breathe* "And he told something about....?"
"Nope, but assuming the Metatraxi has attacked the Station Avalon, I don't want to imagine what happened to KeyHole StarBase, with a drastic reduced team on it."
"Understood, Gambit... Our Flag?"
"On Memory Stade, Sir."
"Well done. Over."
///Wellwellwell, it has costed much, this sector. And it is not finished. Better concentrate on our Job around here. It would be better....///
*takes his padd*
"Balterian? How is it going?"
"Already twenty-four Regenerating Nodes implanted and eleven Phase Boards connected. These Engineers konws how to work. That would be good to have some in our Teams, if you see what I mean.... Heheheheh! Some news about HQ?"
"Later, if you want to."
"Okay!! :) I return to job. Over."
*Looks at the stars by the big holes in the Hull of Station Avalon*
"Long is our way from Your home....."

Request permission for departure. We don't know if it is indeed a cloaked ship nearby, but when we leave, it might follow us, and thus we draw away its attention from the currently fragile station. I repeat, request permission for immediate departure.

*There is a lot of endlessly beamed persons in strange uniforms in the Operations Center of Avalon Station. And runabouts and carriers are tracting their loads and their furnitures around and inside the Station.*
"Marty, bordel! What are you doing HERE! You're assigned to the Shielding Facilities of the Base!"
"Okay, Krest! I know! But where are these dammned StarFleet Engineer Officers!!?? You can be easily lost in this labyrinth. Even KeyHole is not BIG!"
"Rah, s$$t! Hey, you Cadet, give an help to my Chief Engineer Operations!!! ///My my... This Station is a pure wreck.... And only a Mother? I don't like that... Whatever....///"
*Looks around*
"Damian, where are the Zygon Phase Cloack furnitures?"
"Already in the Hull Sector, Cap' ! I think Balterian is already working on this :disagree1: Station. And they call that a Station!!! Tsx-tsx-tsx!"
*Captain Woodrow has a smile*
"Bah you can face it, right?"
"Hummm, maybe we should call our Senior Lady Sullivan... to help us?"
"Why not. *opening his padd* Gambit?"
"Ya, sir?"
"Contact Senior Sullivan on Morgenstern. I think we need her help."
"Er, mouais, but, KeyHole is not responding."
"Okay, try it again later."
///Allons bon! What's happening again? *looking at the Station...* By the God of the Engineers... What a job! What a job!///

Post by: Randall Sanchez on June 24, 2003, 02:36:00 PM
Captain Sanchez was still idly wandering about the station, waiting for the admirals to give him a briefing on his new mission. But they seemed to be busy, now that the Corporation had arrived, and with all the mess on the station, and the repairs to be done, he could not blame them. He was impressed that they were able to stay so calm under the circumstances, and realised he would not be that calm if his ship were in that state - and a ship is hardly as big as this station!
But he felt annoyed by the waiting, and having nothing to do, while others were so busy and could certainly use a helping hand. After some time, he had enough of waiting and went to a console to call on his ship. He would have to help these people, for as long as the ship would remain in orbit around Avalon.

=^= Captain Sanchez  to U.S.S. Evolution =^=

Hello everyone there, this is your captain speaking. Things seem a mess over here, it's a miracle the station hasnt fallen apart completely yet! But as your scanners probably saw, a huge ship from something called "The Corporation" has arrived and is setting a bunch of people to work into helping to repair the station.
But in this mess, the admirals are busy too and didn't get around to work out a new mission for our ship yet.  So in the meantime, I suggest that some of us help out on repairs on the station.  Mr. Lagos, could you gather together a "repair team" and beam over to station Avalon?  But make sure there are people left to keep running the ship too  Thank you.

=^= Sanchez out =^=

Theoretically, Captain, it is possible to cloak anything with a sufficient amount of energy. It was documented the the planet Aldea was cloaked and remained hidden until Captain Jean-Luc Picard accidently discovered it. I believe Avalon's reactors have the potential to entirely cloak the station, but weapons and shields will have to be taken off-line. In addition, many non-essential systems will have to be taken off-line if the station is to remain cloaked longer than 3 consecutive days.
Title: Mission 10: Repairing Avalon Station
Post by: Randall Sanchez on June 27, 2003, 02:06:40 PM
"Exactly, and then the station has no option but to decloak and raise its shields at once. But even though that may only take a matter of a few seconds, it may be too long to avoid serious damage and many deaths. And such a station can be seen on sensors from very far, probably half the Delta quadrant already knows its exact location by now."

Post by: Taurik on June 30, 2003, 03:25:56 PM
I am not certain. It seems that we will not be done for some time. I have heard rumours that we will be sent to Corporation space for a long period of time, so it is possible that we will leave and allow the Avalon and Corporation engineers to repair the station.

Taurik materializes in Avalon Ops

Captain Sanchez, I am Lieutenant Taurik, your new Tactical Officer. I offer my assistance in repairing Starbase Avalon.

Title: Mission 10: Repairing Avalon Station
Post by: Randall Sanchez on June 26, 2003, 05:44:46 PM
"Your Corporation is very impressive, Mr. Woodrow, surely our Starfleet can yet learn a lesson or two from you guys! Well, i'm no Major, I'm a captain.  I command the USS Evolution, which is in orbit right now.  We came here to defend the station against its aggressors, but we were a bit too late to avoid so much damage. And it happened to be that I was injured and unconscious in sickbay all this time too. Yep indeed, nothing goes as planned, like life!  But we should use the time we have wisely, and rebuild our forces before this alien entity comes back to destroy some more!  The Flag Admiral made a list available with all the people that were killed during this attack, or are 'missing in action' which is likely that they were caught in an explosion and not even their bones are left...  It's a long list!  And my own ship did not fare much better either, but we manage fine still. I have a good crew, as you can see they beamed down to help us and you out here!
So, you were speaking of a modified Klingon Phase Cloak.  Is it possible to cloak a station as large as Avalon at all?"

///Im' not THAT sure they have understood what I was speaking about. Hummmmm, I have to give more explanations. *sigh* And what is KeyHole doing????///
*gestures to the StarFleet Officers*
"Gentlemen, gentlemen!!! Please. I'm not sure you have understood anything about this modified phase cloack we have built. Lemme explain as short as I can.

This Planetary Phase Cloack we are giving you WILL NOT MAKE your Station become invisible. It will only Strenghten your hull and your shields. We are currently installing ALSO one reactor and one turbine in conjunction with your own. So, you will be able to use ALSO your Shields and Armaments while being in PPC.

To say something more, we have discovered that we could use the Zygon Regenerating Matrix to give Planetary Ground Resistance to a metallic hull. Though, you will not have the capability to have True Phase Cloack like on a Negh'Var, but a Daughter will have to think twice before attacking your Station later. Because she will smell/feel something familiar and will avoid the Station as if it was pest.

And, for a Mother... Well, she will be certainly disoriented for a moment before she decides to leave the sector. Our probabilities of such an event : Mother leaving are about 97%.

So? What do you think about that?"

And the Regenerative System and the Phase Cloack we are installing in Avalon Station will not be abloe to work it the hull is not totally repaired. Can you have more WorkGroups on the hull to, erm, heummm, fill the holes, please?"
*Wondering a bit while he looks at the Officers disappearing in the transporter rooms.*
///Maybe we should add a Zygon Transport Facilities in the Station... I have one idea!///
"Mr Detrell, I have suddendly one idea. After some research about the Zygon technology, we have discovered that they had a Bio-Transporter in one of their damaged Ships. This transporter is able to block a Borg Transport beam even if your Shields are down and can also beam some assault teams in an ennemy Ship while its Shields are up...
I can ask the Gambit to call for an other Ship to carry one for the Station. I have Full Credits Orders from Counsellor Keriadoc, so I think it would be a gain for your Avalon.
You aggree with that?"

1/ All decks seriously damaged
2/ Shields responding at 30%, but restoring.
3/ Hull damaged at 44 %
4/ Armament not available
5/ Docking bays not available

6/ Phase turbines : OK
7/Zygon Regenerative System : OK
8/ Computers systems : OK

Beginning Regeneration of Shieldings and Hull....>>>
*Some crackles, some flashes and it is like if the matter around, in the space surrounding Station Avalon, was desorganised and... reorganised. Pieces by pieces, tons of metals and matters of the hull were returning to an original shape, with more intensity and more strengh.
<<<Rapidity of Regenerating System average. Initiating Planetary Phase Cloack for more regenerating speed.>>>
*Suddendly, every people on Avalon Station could hear a neverending sound. Like if Avalon Station was gaining a skin. From every undamaged part of the Station, a sort of rock-metallic combined bio-skin was expanding, expanding and filling holes between parts of the Base. Slowly, but surely, Station Avalon was regaining its vaste Shape.*
///Heheheheheh!!! That is fun!///
<<<Regeneration of Shields estimated in 20 Minutes.
Regeneration complete of hull estimated in 30 minutes.
Planetary Phase Cloack fully operative in 5 minutes.
Main Weapons operative in 35 minutes.
Will I stop the test or will I finish?>>>
"Finish, please."
<<<I'm always enthousiastic when working with human specie.
Taking full control of the Operations in course.
Continuing current regenerating mission.>>>
*And Captain Woodrow looks at the Starfleet Officers.... busy to look at the Hull that, magically it seemed, was returning to an original state. Woodrow has a smile.*
"Fun, hey?"

"Hmm... that makes sense.  But if shields and weapons and such are down, that makes the station a HUGE target, you know?  Because if a ship cloaks, it changes its position, and its oppressor wont know where to fire. But a station like Avalon... it's HUGE. It doesn't have the capacity to move unless dragged with heavy tractor beams of a huge number of ships.  The oppressor would simply have to fire on the known location of the station, and it'd be a direct hit... even worse, with the shields down!" *sobs*

computer access all known data on the currrent technology. Open recent uploaded corporation data. Authorisation Nocturnus XO.

*watches lists and lists of adata* Interesting...

it seems this technology as Mr Vorak said is able to think and dapt itself to weaponry exactly like a borg, this could prove to be a very valuable asset indeed.
