*Vakin is escorted into the courtroom by two security guards. He's cuffed and looks not to be in the best of moods. They seat him at a table before the judge.*
"Firstly, Montrell, may I request my cuffs be removed? I find them quite unagreeable."
*Unbeknowest to the others, he contemplates.*
"I grant you this request but don't violate my trust."
Montrell saw that everyone was present to start the trial and so he did.
"All right, this is the trial of the Federation against Vakin; Vakin against Skon and Starfleet against Skon. Because all cases are related with each other I will judge over them all at once. At first the case against Vakin will be on the agenda."
Montrell takes the proper PADD and takes a look at it.
"Mr Vakin, you must stand trial for sabotage of Federation property and technology, the attempt of damage and destruction that could have lead to several deaths, and the last accusation is spying."
*Montrell looks at the defendant with serious eyes*
"What have you got to say about this serious matter?"
(Edited by Skon at 1:12 pm on Sep. 28, 2004)
*Love enters descretely, save the slight clicking of her heeled boots on the floors. She slips into a seat next to Skon's, allowing him a brief smile. She extracts a PADD containing more precise data and so forth. She places a gentle hand on the Captain's shoulder, leaning in to whisper serenly.*
"I've dug it all up; I have my contacts too, you know: The lives you've saved, plus if I'm not mistaken, your help was requested...would you still be justly accused of breaking the directive if that be a factor? I've collected the ship data as well, it easily condemns Vakin. No worries."
ON**
*Balkazar takes his seat near skon.....*
*Watches as Vakin and Varnek is brought into the court room and seated..*......*sees paris love enter and take her seat next to skon*
BAH! You will use none of your Vulcan tricks on me. I MUST FIND THE BURMA.
*Varnek slams Skon's head to the floor and runs down the hallway.*
Hermes? Where is THE BURMA? I must find him...
Greetings, brother. The Burma has returned. It is a glorious time for the people. There should be much rejoycing.
Capt you alright ?....
The Burma, the Burma...he has returned....must find the Burma....
*Suddenly a figure leaps from a side hallway...a phaser blast strikes the wall near Varnek's head. A voice speaks.*
Stand down Mr. Varnek.
Must get the code.
*Skon places a hand against the side of Varnek's face*
Our minds are one...our thoughts are one...
*Skon descends into the depths of Varnek's mind. It is muddled. All of his life, he was trained as a Loxian spy. Loyal to the government...willing to do anything to protect the homeworld. But...then...he met the exiles....he saw THE BURMA return from the dead. But the legends were false...he knew that...he had been taught that...but the Buma was real...Varnek had seen him...
OFF: I'm here. The trial idea seemed to go on the back burner when everyone got involved in the Dantor mess. All the other ships showed up here and most of the Admirals, etc. had other things to do, I think. It's been really confusing. Sorry the story line didn't move the way it should have.
OFF!: Good point, Balkazar. I guess I'll just have to get used to my new body guard following me around all the time lol. Hope that doean't lead to any awkward situations.
"Nobody move, or your little doll here gets it!"
*Vakin gives Skon a look of mockery as he slowly backs out of the center exit. Still walking slowly as he backs into the halls...*
"Anybody follows, she dies!"
*With that he sprints off, the woman close behind him as he has a handful of her hair.*
OFF: I'm too lazy to post as love too...so basically: OOh...ahhh...someone help me....damsel in distress....sniffle...fart....
OFF2: Toaster is doing it again.
ON**
Sir......he wont leave........*asks the command deck in ops station to transport me to the security station aboard the skytoucher.......*
*few minutes later Balkazar is transportered off avalon and is transported to the skytoucher where he is met bye a couple of security officers*
Mr. Varnek, I have a problem that I believe you can assist me with. Your compatriot, Vakin, has stolen my ship and taken a hostage. I need your help.
NO! YOU CANNOT STOP ME! I MUST FIND THE BURMA!
*He leaps at Skon*
OFF: had to stall time, because the debriefing was yet to start.
OFF: check the recent posts on the Evolution, "Maviduly Crystal" mission topic. Varnek is expected in sickbay there too
ON**
*Balkazar reaches for his phaser and makes sure its set to stun and gets redy to use it if Vakin or any of his friends tries to hurt capt Skon.....*
OFF2**Admiral..........if i wasnt supposed to have a phaser i apologize....But with these assassins its a must for they are a tricky sort.......plus with security of skon its a must....So I apologize if its against anything but with assassins that cant be trusted to any lengths......they could try something to you or to skon....*
Hermes, I have the code. Transmit it to Mr. Rasmain.
(Edited by Skon at 2:14 pm on Sep. 28, 2004)
ON**
*walks in after skon and goes and sits in a chair to watch the hearing.....*
OFF2**I was asked to be here .....
Sir, if this man intends to question my actions, I should be able to question his. If you will give me a moment...
*Skon turns around and gestures to Love to hand him a PADD. She does so, and Skon bends to reach for the PADD.*
The Burma. The Burma is alive. I must find the Burma.
*Varnek leaves the courtroom.*
Tell me about the device.
NO THE DEVICE IS EVIL. IT IS NOT OF THE GODDESS OR THE BURMA.
But we can save lives if we use it.
NO. I DON"T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT.
You must, we have no time. We must save Ms. Love and the ship.
MS. LOVE? SHE IS IMPORTANT?
Yes
THE CODE?
Yes, with the code Commander Rasmain can use the device to save her...then we can take you to see the Burma.
YES. BUT HE MUST BE CAREFUL. THE SECURITY SYSTEM WILL RADIATE HIM. THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WANT THE DEVICE TO BE STUDIED. THEY ARE EVIL. THEY WILL KILL.
He will be careful...he just needs the code and then we can save Ms. Love...and the ship...and then we can go see the Burma.
THE BURMA. THE CODE TO SEE THE BURMA?
Yes
&*^%HD#() THAT IS THE CODE. NOW WE WILL SEE THE BURMA!
*Varnek collapses.*
(Edited by Varnek at 7:10 pm on Sep. 28, 2004)
Balkazar: You're one of the people who may need to testify when the trial starts, but I don't recall asking you to accompany me here at this point. I left the ship by myself...you should still be on the bridge trying to figure out the Loxian device...Unless someone else invited you, of course
(Edited by Skon at 10:51 pm on Sep. 3, 2004)
*Stares emotionlessly at the man.*
"With all due respect, ADMIRAL, you obviously don't see the consequences of causing my failure. You'll soon find yourself regretting ever meeting me. I did my job; enough said. Just as this man beside me is doing his. I won't deny or admit to any of the charges here today."
*Me levels a gaze with the Captain Skon. His words are laced with a hint of amusement.*
"As for your precious Captain...He seems to be the only one this court can justly trial."
OFF: Skon, if you haven't, check your messages.
*Montrell stood up and carefully followed the other officers present at the hearing to the hall. Arrived at the hall, Vakin had gain some distance. Montrell took one of the security officers, Balkazar, out of the group*
"Lt Commander ...?..., nevermind I want you to alert Commander Janeway and then tell her to follow Vakin and try to intervene without bloodshed! I will be in OPS to oversee this situation. Dismissed!"
*Montrell left JAG and heads to OPS*
*Varnek launches himself at Skon and knocks the phaser from his hand.*
*Varnek slumps to the floor.*
The Bruma...soon...the Burma...
