"You may sit at our table, Mr. Enoch, if Mr. Keriadoc does not object."

"Excuse me, admiral," Enoch interrupted, and he saw that Vorak eyed him reproachingly, as did the other Starfleet admirals at the table, but he did not care. He waited long to talk to a Corporation officer and now he would take that chance.
"Yes, I would like to make a request of you, in fact a proposition.  I have tried to speak with your commanding officer Mr. Winterspoon too, but then he became ill and the Corporation was absent since.  But... to the point!  I am a merchant/retailer and have a store on this station. I mainly sell all sorts of medieval things, specified in Celtic articles but other things too.  All things that are of historical value, of whatever culture it may be, either on Earth, Kro'nos, Cardassia, Romulus, Vulcan or whereever else.  But my store has been quiet lately, and I think I need to go out and make new contacts. Mainly trading contacts, in the other parts of the universe.
So far, I have only trading contacts with the Alpha Quadrant, but not yet with the Delta Quadrant, and we are at the very borders of this quadrant here, no? So it may be useful to get around and meet new people.  And I think that peaceful trading is one of your activities too, in the Corporation, right?  Well, here comes my proposition.
I would like to come aboard one of your Corporation ships, which one is yours to choose of course, so that whenever you make contact with other worlds, I can try to make contact links for trading and information exchange.  I will make sure that this will not gravely affect your ship's missions of course.
In return, I would like to offer my services as an active officer on this ship, and work on the bridge, or wherever you may need me.  This way, you gain one more crewmember to manage your ship, and I gain new trading contacts. What do you say of my proposition?"

*watches everyone drink Couchenn and sips from his Vulcan spice tea meanwhile*

"Well, it is my intention to succeed in the alliance negotiations this time for certain, Mr. Keriadoc. And I would like to begin with saying that our strength is weakened a bit now, with the station having suffered such an attack. But the Corporation has been very helpful to us, now and before, and for that I am grateful. And I believe it is the most logical thing to do, that we will help you where the Corporation could use some help, as well. A stronger communication would be very helpful.
My Starfleet officers are hardly aware of what the Corporation is about, but I believe that with regular contact, they will come to understand the Corporation's standards and ideals.  Tell me, councellor, how would Starfleet be of help to you?
And this," he hands over a padd with information, "is all available sensor information on what exactly attacked us. I believe, and am almost certain, it is the Metatraxi that attacked us. Once long ago, your senior majors have shown me secret files on this species, and this data is very similar. But to be certain, I want the Corporation to identify this species for me, because they have more experience with the Metatraxi at that--and other things too."

*Ristran sighed a bit, thinking to what he could find on Planet Morgenstern if he decided to launch an Exploration Mission on it. Then, he regained concentration on his current task and looked at the Admirals and Mr Enoch.*
"Of course, I'm for signing this Peace Treaty. And the soonest the best. We have waited too long. The HQ Embassy is ready to welcome StarFleet VIP and Control Center is maybe empty for now but I can welcome people.
But I do believe we will have to move our HeadQuarters to Deska City. I'm not sure about KeyHole StarBase status. So, we will go to Planet Deska to Officialise with our Major Seniors.
For now, we can go to your Embassy and sign the Treaty while having some meal in here. What do you think about that idea?

Mr Enoch, we will go back to Deska City together. And, then, we will meet in Control Center to officialise your Capitaincy. I hope the Metatraxi has not been interested yet *crosses fingers* by Deska; because the ringed Planet is close enough to Morgenstern to attract everyone's attention.

With that, let's honour our Gods and Godesses by a new turn of drink!!!"
*And Ristran filled all the glasses on the table and.... finished the bottle!!! +GLURB!+*

///HEH! Am I dreaming or this Vulcan endures Chouchenn?///
*Impressed, Ristran stands up ///Hummm, calm, the Sea, callllmmmm!/// and follows the Admiral.*
"You come with us, Mr Enoch and Mr Montrell?"
///On the calm, calllmmmm seaaaa........///

*Two admirals and Senior Brigadier Counsellor Keriadoc walked into the Celtic Corner*

"Senior Keriadoc, if I may call you that. You said that your engineers would like to have a helping hand from one of our Chief Engineers. And the fact is that our Chief Engineer aboard this station will return in couple of hours. He informed me that his mission was over and would return immediatly, he was very concerned about the station."

*The admiral walked towards a table which had a wide view of all the stars in the sector*

"Shall we sit down here?"

"Yes, a Vulcan Spice Tea for me, please. And perhaps some snacks for the people at my table to eat while we talk. Thank you."

*Ristran sits down at the table, having the time to salute every VIP around and this new incoming... retailer?*
///Hummm, retailer? Merchant? Hum-hummmm... I will have to consider him very carefully and find out what he has to propose...///
"Well, Gentlemen, thanks for your welcome. Things are not going as planned, as I told you before and, please, accept my apologies. *grabs one Bottle of Chouchenn ///What???!!! They have a Marsian 2377 millesim, here? :) Great!///*
Yes, I know you have many questions to ask and I will answer them as shortly I can. But I do not guarantee you that I will give you one expected answer... Hum, answers, at the Corporation, are a bit howtosay various.
My Rank and Calling in the Corporation is Senior Counsellor. So, please, drop the Senior stuff and call me Counsellor; I will not be offended.

And, to reply to you, Admiral Montrell, the Devices we are bout to add to your Station and your computers are pure Compositions of the Corporation; over all, one powerful AI who can help you to manage and protect the Station.
Speaking about protection, the Zygon Regeneration facilities will be a serious gain if/when you will encounter again a Daughter of even a Mother. This is a device like the Borg Regenerative system, but more enhanced. It's a Bio-Metallic Regenerationsystem whe succeeded in copying from a damaged Zygon Ship in 'the Parallel Universe'. This parallel universe where Mr Brendan Man Tuil comes...
*cough loudly*
But maybe it's time to taste this fabulous Chouchenn. My throat is dry... ;) "

He stared for some long moments, not able to say a word. Then, he releases a breath he hadn't realised he was holding, and speaks up.
"You... you... you... are sure?? I would become a commanding officer of one of your ships?  Sir councelor, this is certainly more than I hoped for! I thought you would likely put me in a low position with no authority... but I'm most honoured you wish to offer me this! Certainly I accept!
If you would like to excuse me now, I will start packing my bag so I'm ready for departure when you return to Corporation space. I hope you don't mind I bring my favourite sword? ;) "

"At this moment, our embassy is empty.  During the Metatraxi attack on our station, we had many loss of officers, and all embassy personell was unfortunately killed in the process.  But we may yet use it and operate it ourselves to sign the treaty.
Do you wish to speak to captain Sanchez of the USS Evolution to make arrangements?  I will give him the order to assist in all things you see fit concerning the Corporation and in Corporation space.
Maybe I shall attempt one glass of Couchenn too, though it is against my Vulcan traditions, to celebrate this historical moment of alliance between Starfleet and the Corporation."
*he puts aside his Vulcan spice tea and fills a glass wit'h Couchenn*

*Vorak gets up and walks out of Celtic Corner*

"You will see, Mr. Keri-hips-doc, that the Embassy is not too far from h-hips-ere, if you follow me out of the d-" *bang*

Admiral Vorak takes a few steps back after realising he had stumbled against a pillar.

"Very well, please follow m-hips-e."

"Not at this table, Mr. Montrell. I have asked Mr. Nocturnus to prepare us a large table with Couchenn bottles." He looks around but no table seems to be reserved this way.  "Very well, it appears that Mr. Nocturnus is running late.  This table will do, then.
Admiral Vorak to Admiral Nocturnus, report to Celtic Corner at once. Vorak out.
Very well, be seated everyone. As Mr. Montrell just said, our Chief Engineer is on his way back to the station and will soon render a helping hand to your people. Meanwhile, I would like to express my gratitude for your freely willing assistance in these matters. It appears we have many things to discuss."

*Looking seriously at Ms Mirez's shapes*
///Sif! Sif! This kind of girl could awake a complete dead section with such a *erm* body... Hummmm. I don't know what Ms Winterspoon could say if I wanted to date this girl... Well, better concentrate on our current mission, right? *sigh* But what a butt!///
*Looks back to the invitees of the table and remembers something.*
///Ah! Yesss!///
"Mr Enoch? You said, some minutes ago, you had a request to ask the Corporation?"
Title: A meeting in Celtic Corner
Post by: Ristran Keriadoc on June 27, 2003, 03:22:07 PM
*Stops looking at this charming young woman and tries to concentrate on the proposal.*
"Mr Enoch, I'm glad you ask such a request. In fact, about 83% of the Corporation personal in this Quadrant has demised because of the Morgenstern/Deska Disease, these last weeks. And we are seriously looking for competents Merchants to build strongs Trading Lines between our Allies and, certainly in the Future, StarFleet.
Though, we have an impressive Merchant Ships Fleet but nobody to pilot them and trade with other species and people of the Delta Quadrant. If you have some capabilities in commanding a Ship, I would be glad to offer you a Capitaincy on one Merchant Ship of the StarWays Lines.

When all the negociations will be done, I will return to Deska, maybe in a Viper Runabout, to re-set up our Merchant Fleet. You can accompany me to Deska City, if you still want to make part of the Corporation. ;) "
*Turns back to the Admiral and says :*
"As I am the only Counsellor of the Corporation in this Delta Quadrant, I have been given to Full Right of Veto and only receives my orders directly from our Major Seniors. So, Admiral Vorak, I can tell you that these neverending Negociations WILL NOT FAIL WITH ME. We have wasted enough time.

Now, chouchenn!"
*Opens the bottle and fills a glass, grabs the glass and...*
+++GLURB!+++
///Ahhhhh! Speaking turns you thirsty... I feel better, now.///

"Mr Montrell, you can drink as many as you want. But be not surprised if you feel headacke or somehow ready-to-sleep. Chouchenn is delicious but it can lead you fast to your bed.

Mr Enoch, of course you can pack your back and bring with you your Sword. I have one. :)
*Studies seriously the datas on the Admiral's padd*
Hummmm... Hummmmm.... Hummm... Oh! A Mother, now? Uh oh! *looks in the Admiral's eyes* Yes, Admiral, IT is the Metatraxi and it seems as if it decided not to wait longer... Hummmm, I must inform KeyHole about that information. Give me one minute, please."
*Pushes a button on his uniform*
"Gambit?"
"Counsellor?"
"Contact Keyhole, at once. I need..."
"But, SIr! We have already tried. Captain Woodrow told us because we wanted to contact Senior Engineer Sullivan to help us on...."
"WHAT do you mean : already tried? KehyHole does not respond?"
"Erm, nope, Counsellor."
"Oh!"
"Sorry, Sir."
"Stop trying to enter in Comms with KeyHole StarBase. You are wasting your time."
"EH? Why, Sir, if I may ask?"
"Because KeyHole might not exist anymore."
*........*
"I understand, Sir. I will inform Captain Woodrow. Do we set our Flag to Memory Stade, for our Lost Comrades?"
"Yes, do it. Keriadoc, over."
*Looks at the Admirals, with sadness in his eyes....*
"Your help would have been welcome, Admiral Vorak. But I think, now, it's too late. If even we do not receive our Buoy Navigation from KeyHole, it is because KeyHole is destroyed."
///I need an other glass...///*A bitter tear rolls on his left cheek. Ristran grabs the Bottle of Chouchenn, hesitates a bit and .... drinks chouchenn at the bottle.*

*Ristran can already feels warmth in his body. Hydromel was doing his good relaxing job.*
///Ahhh, perfect! Perfect!///
"Well, Admiral, it's a good idea you have suggested. Yeah, let's do that and invite your Captain in Embassy. So that, he will witness of the Treaty Signature and we will discuss of the Proceedings about the Corporation Space...
BTW, if I have understood well, the USS Evolution will fly to the Corporation Space Influence JUST AFTER the Treaty Signature, right?"
*Ristran has an immediate idea.*
"Because, if it is really the case, I don't need to call a Viper Defense Craft or any other Corporation Runabout to go back to Deska. Mr Enoch and I will travel on the USS Evolution!!!!"
*considers the Vulcan Admiral in an other way*
"Sometimes, it would be good to have Vulcans, in the Corporation....
Okay, let's go to Embassy. I hope your Captain will enjoy Chouchenn."
*And he grabs all the Bottles!!!*

*The expression on the Vulcan Admiral's face seemed to sadden with the news, even though it might only be a reflection of the light because a Vulcan is not capable of emotions... normally...*

"My condolences for your comrades, councelor.  I see now, that my station was fortunate still, not to be destroyed entirely.  And while you suffer your own difficulties, you still come to aid us. I believe that it is only right to do so, that we render assistance to you as well.
Mr. Keriadoc, I hope you are interested to sign a treaty of peace and alliance between your and my faction.  A treaty in where we both promise to work more closely together, keep an open communication between both factions, exchange information, and such.  If we work together, we may stand stronger against the Metatraxi threat.
If you are willing to accept this alliance, I will begin by placing one of our ships in Corporation space permanently.  I have the U.S.S. Evolution in mind.  The ship is small, but its captain is most experienced, and the most fit, I see, to command missions in Corporation space.  Its purpose there is to establish better communication, to work closer with the Corporation, and to help the Corporation where needed.
In fact, it is the very captain and his crew of the USS Evolution, that are helping your officers right now in the repairs of this station, without I or my other admirals gave them any order to do so.
Do you agree with this proposal?"

*Vorak drinks a glass*

"Hmm... most unusual.  Strong alcoholic content, I must say.  But naturally, Vulcan physiology is strong and resistant against such strong alco-hips-ic drink.  Allow me to hail on Captain Sanch-hips-z so we can meet him in the Embassy.

=^= Admiral Vorak to Captain Sanchez =^=
Please re-hips-port in the Embassy of Station Avalon at once.  We will await you th-hips-re.
=^= Vorak out =^=

Very well, please follow me so we can proceed to the Embassy.  You will see, it is very empty there at this moment, yet."
