And yeah, I know there's a handful of people who check back on the site every hour or so, and we could get a lot of votes if every one of them voted each time.. etc etc you get my point.

Just click "home" in the menu links in the left column. Then when you are on the main page, scroll down until you find the vote buttons in the right column.

LOL not many people know about them. Perhaps we chould give them their own special page on the menus so everyone has easy acess? or would that be a hassle?
I Am going to pm the list Vorak has varified for us and see if we can't get any hits. Remeber everyone before you log in or make a post take the extra few minutes and through ina vote! =P
If it helps I can devise a special ranking or game to further encourage voting. I can make up a special award system or something of the sort. Ill update you allon that later ;-)

It doesn't seem like many people have voted yet 
I did, however, update the voting links. The obsolete ones are gone, and the incorrect links are corrected. I notice that there seems to be something wrong with the Bravo Fleet topsites, it does not seem to let you go beyond the voting page. Maybe it's just this computer or maybe it's a temporary problem, I don't know. I think everything else should work now.

I really don't know why I bother making sure to vote every single day, both from home and from work... judging from the vote count I am once again the ONLY one (with an occasional vote here and there from someone else) who votes regularly.
Each time again I try to help out with voting when everyone pledges to vote daily, and each time after some days or weeks, I am the only one left once more.
So don't count on me any more either then.

The thing is, I never remember after a couple of days...unless someone wants to send me a reminder every week or so, I'm bound to forget. Also, somewhat irregular computer times mix me up.

I agree with this completely, several times over in the past it has been proven that most new members are drawn from high rankings in topsites. But that requires frequent voting of several people.
Generally it's sufficient to vote once, maybe twice, a day. Most topsites only count your vote once a day. If you have the ability to vote from another computer as well (with different IP address) then that would also help. For example, you vote at your computer at home, but later in the day also at the computer at work or school if possible.
It has been some time since I've updated the topsites buttons, here are my findings so far upon a check today, and I will correct the incorrect links as soon as possible.
1. Worldwide Topsites Scifi: link works!
2. RPG Gateway Top 100 RPG Sites: account removed, needs new account
3. RPG Host Top 25 Fiction Sites: same as above, seems to have fallen into disuse
4. startreksites.de: no longer exists, link needs to be removed
5. Bravo Fleet top 100 Star Trek list: account still exists, link needs updating
6. Bravofleet Top 200 SciFi Sims: idem as above
7.Bravosimms.org: no longer exists, link needs to be removed

hmm i spose we could make a new page for it. perhaps though we should simply move the links higher up in the homepage instead and re-arrange it so people can see the links when they see the page?
