*Shortly later, the ship nears the Temples of Sordinan. On the viewscreen, the bright light of the Quantum Singularity Network can be seen, stretching out wider than could possibly be fitted on the viewscreen. In front of it, a planet is located... where the Temples of Sordinan can be found. Not far away from this planet, some sort of station can be seen, but not a normal station. Attached to it is a large device, having the shape of a horizontal half moon, and next to it the same one but mirrorred.... the Null-Space Catapult.*

Tom presses a few buttons.

"DS12 reports Docking Ramp 3 is cleared for our arrival. Slowing to 1/16th impulse."

The Tiberon shudders slightly.

"We are now docked with DS12. Bringing the warp core and fusion generators offline."

Hedford was talking to one of the other crewmembers as he suddenly noticed that they had arrived. He moved over to Admiral Vorak

"Shall we join them as well Admiral Vorak?"

"Mr. Hedford, we have just concluded very important negotiations with a faction called the Delta Alliance. They are an alliance between several species, who have formed some sort of Federation not unlike our U.F.P. The U.S.S. Evolution is following their ship to the borders of their space near the Quantum Singularity Network, where captain Sanchez is needed to visit certain... temples. It is according to the custom of the Nigillian species. We are to accompany the U.S.S. Evolution."

"If it is your shift then you will do your job at the time that is assigned to you, not after. Why should someone else be forced to do YOUR job when it is yours to do? Now please take your post and try to be on time from now on."

"In fact, Mr. Karelia, according to the stellar cartography data they have transferred to me, the nearest catapult is at the Temples of Sordinan. There is none closer to bring us there. However, the distance is not very far and within a matter of hours we should be able to reach the location of the Temples of Sordinan at current speed. As for their customs, I believe it is very important NOT to enter the Quantum Singularity Network. They see this area as sacred to their gods, and no mortal may enter it."

Karelia walks onto the bridge of the U.S.S. Tiberon and sees Captain Meridian sitting in his chair.

"Hello again, Captain. I assume you have heard of our next destination. The Tiberon is to escort the U.S.S. Evolution and A.S.C. Revox to the Nigillian Temples of Sordinan, where we are all to engage in a ceremony that will 'cleanse' us of our transgressions. Admiral Vorak and I will be joining you on this mission. After the ceremony is complete, the Tiberon is to proceed to Avalon Station where Admiral Vorak will disembark, then we will proceed home. Any questions?"

"Yes, once we enter Alliance space, warp speeds above warp 2 are not to be used. We will use a subspace catapult to get us near the temples."

"How long till we reach Delta space and have to drop to warp 2?"

Many hours and a few yawns later...

"Captain, Avalon Station is coming into visual range."

"mam!....we did it!....the field is not chaseing us any more!"

"I don't believe so sir. Our reserves are only at 47%, but we can make it to DS12 pretty easily."

Lollock sees the energy wave following them on the viewer.

"Oh god, they're chasing us..."

Lazarus walked to the Ops Station, and began checking over his consoles.

"On screen and drop out of warp."

"Thank you Adm. Karelia, and may I say that you made a fine choice for her captain."

"Sir, it is getting bigger and bigger i think we need to stop fireing at it!"

(OFF: LOL!)

(OFF: We need something to pass the time until we arrive...)

''Understood, shall we leave now before I get to comfortable in this chair."

" Commander Lollock, please form a list of crew members that need to visit the temple, and work out a system of rotation so we can get every one down there in a slightly organized manner. Senor staff first."

*Commander Soran was in his quarters getting ready for his shift and he realized he was late again, he quickly finished and reported to the bridge*

*walks onto the bridge and then to his post*

Captain, Am I needed on the bridge or will the new ensign in security take over for my failing to show up for work?

*The turbolift doors slide open and reveal Flag Admiral Vorak. He steps onto the bridge and looks at Fleet Admiral Karelia and captain Nismos.*
"Greetings, captain. I have called Commodore Hedford to come aboard immediately as well. As soon as he has arrived, you may depart."

*At that moment, the U.S.S. Tiberon turns around and tries to escape by heading back to Deep Space 12.*
"Na'jigat sensing fear... Na'jigat sensing plans to run away... Senses do not come from U.S.S. Evolution... Other ship! Other ship! U.S.S. Tiberon... trying to escape...  Must gain the energy of this ship! Not let it escape! Na'jigat Lords of the Universe... drain energy, destroy ship!"
*And the cloud of energy releases the U.S.S. Evolution all of a sudden, and heads for the U.S.S. Tiberon at full speed. No matter how fast the U.S.S. Tiberon goes, the energy wave matches speed and keeps getting closer...*

"Lt. Karelia, set coordinets and take us out."

"Take your station, Lieutenant. What's going on with the cloud?"

Lollock sees the Evolution get swollowed by the wave.

"Hail the Evolution! What's going on?"

"I have not seen Ensign Silok, Commander, should I take the OPs station untill he arrives?"

OFF: should we go or wait till the message is through?

Welcome aboard sirs, im executive officer Commander Lollock. Let me go see to your accomidations.
**Lollock steps off the bridge and head towards her office**

OFF: How about I say energize.

"Na'jigat prepared... seeking energy... energy in abundance... Reading minds of puny humanoids... Not worthy for Na'jigat Lords of the Universe... Distract energy... destroy remnants..."
*And seemingly slow for the onlooker, but incredibly fast in truth, a huge wave of bright energy fills the horizon of the universe, coming toward the ships...  Suddenly it wavers...*
"Na'jigat detecting other energy... Source on planet... Settlement discovered on planet... Reading minds... NOT ABLE TO READ MINDS! Field blocks Na'jigat!!!! Cannot reach minds!!! Reading minds of puny humanoids... humanoids call planet Sordinan! Planet protected... prepare to distract all energy..."
*Suddenly, the wave embraces the entire planet, since the wave of energy is large enough to swallow almost an entire solar system at once...  and the ground on the planet shakes. The planet of Sordinan can no longer be seen within the surrounding waves of energy, but then suddenly the waves turn away...*
"Inverse energy! Cannot withdraw it! Energy takes from us than we from the energy! Na'jigat Lord of the Universe... this is unacceptable! Retaliation strong! Turn to ships at once and destroy!"
*And now the waves of energy went straight to the U.S.S. Evolution and U.S.S. Tiberon, ready to destroy...*

OFF: the A.S.C. Revox has landed on the planet's surface, so it isnt under attack.

"It appears that both ships are still in good condition. Status report, please? I would like to know if energy supplies are sufficient for a journey to Avalon Station. I would like to return to my station as soon as possible."

"Do we need to replenish any of our power or supplies before we head back to DS12?"

Hedford runs out of the turbolift and while running he was still getting his clothes on.

"Sorry Admiral, I had some business which needed to be done. It's a real pitty that we have to leave this beautiful Tiberon with it's fine crew and lovely nurses..."

Hedford was looking in one of the consoles, to see if his hair was in the right shape.

"Oh come now, Admiral, don't tell me you have no sort of bond with the ships under your command..."

*Nismos leaves the bridge and heads to the Irish clover*

*And the swarm of pure energy suddenly seems to stretch out so wide that it looks like it fills the horizon of the universe, and in an incredible speed, it hurries toward both ships at once... In an instant, it is all around both the U.S.S. Evolution and U.S.S. Tiberon...*
"Need energy... NOW! No more deceiving... Na'jigat Lords of the Universe!"
*And the two ships begin to tremble, their structural integrity starts to fail...*

Karelia's panel begins to beep loudly.

"Commander, I am picking up something on long-range sensors. Massive amounts of concentrated energy... several light years away... heading this way at incredible speeds."

*The Quantum Singularity was restless... as if a force was stirring, abiding its time to strike. And this time was about to come soon...*
Na'jigat stronger... Na'jigat recovering from Gallifreyan assault... Gallifreyans cannot defeat Na'jigat... Na'jigat Lord of the Universe... Preparing to gain more energy... Scanning prey... Three ships... Scanning minds of humanoids... U.S.S. Evolution... U.S.S. Tiberon... A.S.C. Revox... Energy supplies strong... Defenses nihil... Scanning for Gallifreyan dangers... None... Begin procedure..."
*And at the far horizon of the Quantum Singularity Network, a wave of pure energy began to form... energy so strong that no firepower and no shielding could possibly withhold it... The Na'jigat had unleashed its power, a power that had even proven fatal to Borg cubes and Species 8472 ships more than once before... And the Na'jigat energy lifeforms began to hum...*
"Na'jigat... Na'jigat... Na'jigat..."
*At that same moment, some sort of strong energy field suddenly surrounded the Temples on the planet of Sordinan... But the strange thing was, the shield was not being generated by any technology on the planet, it appeared naturally out of nowhere, and was stronger than any form of technology could ever generate... And it blocked everything... transporters, communications, even telepathic communications... Nothing could go in, nothing could come out... And soon, the people who are NOT within this shield, will find themselves wishing they were inside this shield of protection too, for it is the only protection against the Na'jigat...*

"Any Orders Commander?"

Lazarus walked to the bridge, going to the Captain and Commander
"I request a Temp. Feild commision to be an OPs Officer untill the Ticonderoga(sp?) is commisioned, I wish to help and do something, I feel I can untill my duties call as XO"
 

"Energy... Energy... Na'jigat Lords of the Universe... Need energy! U.S.S. Tiberon full of energy... full of... what? Pure energy drifting in space! Na'jigat needs energy!"
*Only moments after the U.S.S. Tiberon has ejected the auxillary warp core, the energy wave loses interest in the ship and heads for the core drifting in space. In a matter of moments, the warp core vanishes inside the energy cloud as it begins to consume the raw energy. And thus, the Na'jigat energy beings grow stronger...*

"A ship is designed for the purpose of comfortable interstellar space travel, Mr. Karelia, and not for bonding."
*Then he turns to Tara Lollock.*
"Please bring the station on the viewscreen."

OFF: there was no need to hail me over intercom, I was on the bridge all this time :P Yes I'm one of those admirals who will be on a ship's bridge at every opportunity :P

*Vorak proceeds with the rest of the away team to the transporter room, and shortly later he and Hedford arrive with the rest of the away team and take place among the others on the transporter pad. Then he gazes at admiral Karelia, and waits for him to say the "energize" command, since it is after all his ship.*

(OFF: Calm down spanky, that rule is for older starships. Picard ordered over warp 5 all the time...)

"if its energy this thing needs, why not fire a group of torpedos, it would follow, if we take power from the ship, and make it so there is more in the torpedo fire"

"Commander, if I may? I've been thinking back to an early 21st century concept for missile confusion. A fighter would drop a hot-burning flare when being tracked by a heat-sensitive missile. I suggest we do the same, by dropping the auxillary warp core as an energy 'flare'."

*After a number of Music selections DS12 appears on sensores*
"Home again home again, jigdy jog. On screen."

"Right, logic dictates a fast action, but not unplanned. I suggest we use a probe. it will use less power from our own systems as probes have power to go into far distances. and wouldn't take up a torpedo that might be needed"

Silok came onto the bridge. he had taken an unnoticed leave to see about a transfer. being back from it he was to remain.

OFF: there is only a secrity officer on board, Nelson, but he could take over tacitcal until I can return to the ship.

"Lieutenant, set course for DS12 and engage at maximum possible warp!"

*Mutters under his breath*

"Avalon is quite a ways from here, sir, about 16 hours, but if we increase to warp 8, we can be there in 5."

Lets do warp 5 until were a safe distance from the area then increase to warp 8.

"Thank you miss Lollock, it will be good spending a night in a comfortable bed again.:"

Hedford follows the Commander into her office

"So Commander, I wasn't totally briefed on our mission. Could you please tell me what our destination is, I don't want to embarrass myself infront of the admirals "

"Forgive me if I'm wrong but I believe that it is illeagel to go faster than warp 5 unless it is an emergency"

*Enters the bridge*
"Well admiral, are you ready to go home?"

Karelia gazes around the bridge, just taking in the scene.

"I never took the time to realize just how beautiful the Tiberon is. You have a fine ship here, Captain."

*After consuming the warp core of the Tiberon, the U.S.S. Evolution had done a similar thing, but with inverted energy. This seemed to take the energy cloud longer to consume, but consume it did... The cloud of energy peacefully continues to consume the energy of the warp core, slowly growing stronger bit by bit... but never losing sight of the U.S.S. Evolution and U.S.S. Tiberon, and never stopping to listen to the thoughts and words of the humanoids on these ships, who are desperately planning either a defensive or offensive...*
"Na'jigat Lords of the Universe... Tear all energy from warp core.... Becoming stronger... Humanoids want to offer their defense... Listening to their thoughts... Taurik speaking... Now receiving all their mind pathwaves... Now becoming aware of all their plans... Na'jigat Lords of the Universe... None can escape us... None can deceive us..."

"Aye, sir, warp five."

*At that moment, the telepathic energy shield that had protected the planet of Sordinan all this time, suddenly disconnects itself and instead, begins to reform into a long arrow beam, pointing at the two ships. At an incredible speed, it hits the Na'jigat energy cloud and pierces it... The blinding light of the arrow beam tears into the wave as if inflicting a wound on the flesh of a humanoid.*
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Na'jigat under attack! GALLIFREYANS HAVE COME! Must attack Gallifreyans instead! No, Gallifreyans too many, Na'jigat too few... RETREAT! RETREAT! NO, NA'JIGAT LORDS OF THE UNIVERSE NEVER RETREAT! RETREAT OR BE WOUNDED AND WEAK WITHOUT ENERGY! LET GO OF PREY, RETURN ANOTHER TIME! RETREAT! RETREAT!"
*And suddenly, the energy cloud releases the shuttle the U.S.S. Evolution had launched, just in time before the shuttle's structural integrity would have failed. Seconds later, the energy cloud also releases the U.S.S. Evolution and U.S.S. Tiberon, and retreats all together. The arrow beam keeps hunting down the energy cloud, and the energy cloud keeps fleeing in terror.*
"MUST RETREAT TO SAFER AREA! RETURN TO QUANTUM SINGULARITY NETWORK! GALLIFREYANS CANNOT CATCH US THERE! RETREAT! RETREAT!"
*And what seemed to be like an eternity for the onlooker, but was in fact only a matter of minutes, the energy swarm heads back for the nearby Quantum Singularity Network, still being chased by the energy arrow, and seconds later, the energy cloud melts into the singularities and seems to vanish all together. Right in front of the singularities, the beam arrow halts, because it is not strong enough to follow in there, and simply dissolves. And all was suddenly quiet again...*

I dont see any problem with that. What do you think SIR?

*Ardwyad transmits the transporter coordinates to the U.S.S. Tiberon and U.S.S. Evolution, so the away teams will find themselves at the entrance of the temples.*

The tiny figure of DS12 apears in the distance.

*Vorak raises an eyebrow.*

"Commander, we're losing structural integrity! Helm control is down! Energy stores now at 93 percent and falling!"

*The swarm of energy keeps moving closer, and as firepower is hitting, it absorbs the energy and grows even stronger...*
"Na'jigat likes energy... Na'jigat Lords of the Universe becoming stronger... Want more energy... More...*

OFF: as you will discover, no weapons have effect on the Na'jigat whatsoever. If anything, they like to absorb the energy amount that comes free by a phaser burst or torpedo explosion. If you read the USS Evolution forum (Avalon Fleet) you will see what happens to the poor ship :P

"aye sir, hailing frequencies open....sir...they arent responding!"

Sir, i dont know what it is!...but it is large!...i think it might be dangerous if the away team stays down in the temples!!....

Lazarus thought for a bit...

Nerotis took a empty spot on the transporter.

"Excelent. Begin replenishing our power. Well, not too bad of a first misssion as Captain. Any points that I need to work on? Feel free to critisize."

(I can't believe that Fox canceled Enterprise. I almost cried. Oh yea by the way I think we are officially done with this mission so now we don't have to post here any more.)

*Tom sends a message to the Evolution and Revox.*
