Oh, I believe Admiral Rugal is right there, sir. *points to the Admiral that is comming towards them and straightens his uniform*

OFF: Will this mission continue? I was left in charge of continuing this mission and talk to Admiral Rugal while Captain Travis is away. Also, my ship is standing by to accompany yours in that mission with the Loxians. Is that still up too?

What? I havent heard of a mine that using slaves since the Dominion war, and that ended ages ago.

But ok, I´ll go with you, if not just to teach them a lesson. If there is slaves held by the Union in this quadrant, I wanna command them! Beam me aboard!

OFF: is there still anyone on the station? Or has Vontak Nor been abandoned? I need to know to include it and put it in the right context for a future mission.

OFF: Dernok, please assume the following... Rugal and Marcet left the station Vontak Nor, because the Cardassian Union no longer provided the funds to keep it running. All this time, Rugal and Marcet have been kind of diplomats on Avalon Station. Only you were in charge here as the only person to keep an eye on the station. But of course, a whole station is far too big for one man, so most sections are closed down and powered off. Soon, Rugal and Marcet will return, and bring some visitors For that, I have opened a new topic. Until they arrive, you don't know anything about it of course.

Admiral Madred's voice resounded loudely out of the turbolift:

'... provocation! They provoke the Cardassian Union...'

Madred entered the main ops...

'Rugal, this is pure provocation... This arrogant Admiral Vorak! I had asked him for medical supply... but this traitor doesn't pass up an opportunity to start building his battle station on planet Dantor... that is cardassian territory!'

Madred looked into Rugal's eyes.

'Fleet Admiral, we have to react on this act of aggressiveness...!'

Legate Garak is working wonders on our homeworld. The Starfleet has lent us replicators and the Dominion has been banished to the Gamma Quadrant forever.

* Meanwhile, still quite some distance away from Vontak Nor, a ship is hit by an asteroid and goes to full stop to repair their damage. They don't send out any hails to call for help, and they are just outside sensor reach of station Vontak Nor*

"Yes indeed the lights are dimmer. I don't recall that Cardassian physiology has problems with light though. I wonder why they prefer things dark.
Ahh... admiral Rugal, it is an honour to meet you in person. I heard many good things about you.  Meet my first in command here, commander C... Fairfax."

"Indeed this station is an interesting project," he says while walking around looking in many directions. "It is very much like Deep Space Nine, and yet... very different.  If you don't mind, I will go have a look around in the Promenade-if you call it Promenade on here too-and catch up with you later.  Number One, you're in charge with the talks with Admiral Rugal here."

*He disappears in the crowd*

OFF: He will begin to do "undercover" work from now on, and makes sure he is untraceable on the station. For some time, nobody will hear from him.
I'll be back on June 3 or 4 here, so good luck with the mission and see you when I get back

OFF: since this mission is not getting on this way, we skip the Loxian mining thing, assuming we have assisted on that and that it is completed now.  Travis returns to the USS Phoenix, and after a short while, he hails the station.

Incoming hail from USS Phoenix, captain Travis:

"Mr. Rugal, we thank you for your cooperation.  But there is in fact a reason for us being here.  We discovered a Cardassian outpost on a planet in a far system, and they are using the native people as slaves.  We came here to check out first if you knew about this or not, but since you don't know about it, I think it is only right for me to tell you.  We don't know if it may be a secret operation from your government, or that they work on their own, but we will return there now.  Are you willing to come aboard our ship, and go with us?"

OFF: please answer in Intel division / USS Phoenix forum mission topic too. Thanks

ok, then you will be, becouse you are actualy the only one here at the moment, security chief. Your rank is Gul. Now.

When Dernok returned from the holosuite, he was still bored as ####.

OFF: Sounds fine. Make me stay all alone; should of expected as much from weak pathetic morons.

*Rugal faced Madred*

Face them? With what? I doupt that they only have that nova-class ship in their fleet. But nontheless. Your accusations are serious, I will take the Mora and visit admiral Vorak.

D´ja! Give me the sensor readings for today.

D´ja: Yes sir. 40 particles of space dust pur cubic meter, 2 comets that passed within 1 lightyear and the radioctivity have dropped with 10 per cent.

Rugal: 10%? How is that possible?I thought it would take years...

D´ja: Indeed, sir. But unless this inbstruments is misscalculating, it is true, shall I check with another panel?

Rugal: No, it is not neccesary. Thank you, continue with your work.

D´ja: Yes sir.

"Very well, thank you admiral Rugal. We will begin the docking procedure now. We will meet again on your station. Travis out."

*Travis and Fairfax disappear from the viewscreen of the station, and displays the ship beginning the docking procedure to the station*

I have been busy lately. And I will be it some time more. But I am here and will try to post.

Really? Well, that sounds greate!

This is Fleet Admiral Rugal of the remains of the 23rd Fleet of cardassia, we are about to take out a loxian miningstation and we would be honoured if you wanted to help. If you just could let my engineers install a cloaking device so you could follow. Mean time I would be glad if you, Captain Travis, could join me for some discussions in my office with my closests officers. I think your XO is capable to do, even by your standards, such an easy mission...

"Indeed, we still have too much damage so that such an installment is probably asking for problems with the ship's systems. Maybe we could stay on a distance, Mr. Rugal, and jump in if the need would arise?"

*turns to Fairfax*

"Maybe it would be a better idea if we pay a visit to Vontak Nor, while we are here."

*turns to the viewscreen*

"If Admiral Rugal does not mind, of course, that we would visit his station?"

*Only a short time later, the ship completes its docking procedure and soon thereafter, captain Travis and is first officer Commander Fairfax walk onto the station*

"Hmmm... reminds me a bit of Deep Space Nine, don't you think commander?"

It is an honour to us as well, Admiral.

We are experiencing the same problems, because of the nebula.

OFF: Admiral Rugal, will this mission continue? I need to know so I can inform the rest of the crew...

Very well Admiral. I will return to my ship and contact the Hideki Mora from there.

I am sure that when we meet again it will be to celebrate victory.

OFF: It's kinda doubtful Cardassians would want to have a baseball in their logos.:) The closest Cardi that would even appreciate is Dukat, but I kinda doubt he would have much influence any more, lol.:)

Well Captain... It's your call. Though I am not sure the ship's power grid can be altered right now.. after the damage we suffered from the impact with the asteroid on our way here...

I am Commander Carlton Fairfax, Captain Travis' XO... I would be honoured Admiral, to go on a joint mission with you.

However, I believe current Starfleet regulations do not allow us to use cloaking devices outside the Alpha quadrant... Outside the Federation's space, to be precise. But we could wait until your strike team acts to come into the scene or, if this sort of stealth is not an option, our ship is indeed quite worthy in battle. Even more when in company of the fine Cardassian battleships.

Captain, should I tell the quartermaster to prepare a dinner for you and Admiral Rugal, as soon as we return?

It´s an honor. I am sorry for the dimmed lights, the station is undermanned and we take power from wherever we can. Including lights. We have sent probes to Cardassia, but none seem to reach it. Becouse we have got no reply for the past 4 months.

OFF: now I'm back from holidays, maybe it would be good I stay on this station as A. Travis so both topics (this one and the USS Phoenix one) remain active throughout the whole mission, and it will also give Svensson the ability to do some more spy work while here

After some time of absence, captain Anthony Travis comes to the ops of the station.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Rugal, that I was away for so long. Your Cardassian liquors are... most excellent  So can I help you out here?"

OFF: Well we're contemplating on the next mission for the USS Skytoucher. It will involve a contact with the obscure Gallifreyans and their galactic enemy the Na'jigat. We want to involve Vontak Nor into it again, but the thing is... Rugal left the station a long while ago and became ambassador, and Marcet is on Avalon station too. So I was thinking, perhaps Rugal could have ordered before to abandon the station because it was deemed too dangerous inside the Dark Passage? That way, Rugal, Marcet and you (and others if they are still around) could reclaim the station during this mission.
