That band of idiots doing this is picking a fight with the wrong people...the rest of the world.
I am truly sorry to hear that, Sam Fisher. That is horrible news. My condolences to you. Was she a friend, or were you two going out?
In such terrorist acts, it is always the innocent people that die or fall victim. And what is worse, is that it is always done in the name of one or the other god.
Ftima, I know all too well that these terrorists are not setting the right example for your religion (or any religion, for that matter). Most religions promote peace instead of war, but it is a fact that some people abuse the power of religion and turn it upside down. What's more, these people actually believe that they are doing the right thing.
But if people want to condemn Muslims for acts like this, then those people should also look at themselves and their own religion. Any religion that has been big enough to be in power, has at one point abused people. Look at the Catholic Church and the crusades, or the witch burning, and so on.
It is a sad notion, but a true one:
"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Therefore, I have long lost any faith and believe in any of the "powerful people" in the world, be it religious leaders (such as the current Nazi pope) and political leaders, not only those of other and more powerful countries, but also those of my own country, Belgium. Corruption is their middle name.
My thoughts and sympathy are with you Sam, I wish you all the strenght you need.

I think that the whole thing about this Bombing and the 9/11 Bombing has stoped about beging about religon if you look at the big picture most of these act after 9/11 is'nt about religon its abou Iraq how the United Sates and England is in Iraq but if you look into the minds of these pepole who do these horrible acts you will see the exactt picture of how the human race is going if you look at the world events today its about bombing about this murders these sort of things have goten more worst in the last 10 years and also if look at it will are in World War Three for the past 10 years I say the the worlds morles have gone down the drain also if you look at the laws of the free world you see that the world it self dos'nt care any more most of the world was founded by God but if these Nations are Founded by God why will they do this the is all to the fact that the World dos'nt care now look at the Bombing that Happend in London after three weeks it will go to somthing else and I say that the world judge all members of the Islam faith for a few radicals I say we must ours selfs must rember what startrek has teached us about how to treet others and Iam A member of the Church of Lesus Christ of Later-Day Saints and in my belief in God and what I know of other religions is that all religons condone this terrble deed.I was lucky in my Family that members of my family took the day off.
I will like to sent a condoclence to the familys of the Victems of this horrible deed as a Canadian I am appaled and being Britsh I am Sad to was has happened.
I agree, Karelia. A small token and a heartfelt word can sometimes do wonders for people. And also not to let them intimidate you - which is why I posted my letter with a call for united peace in the world.

I won't even try to understand what it must be like for you, since I've never experienced it, so I would have no idea. However, it's easy for those of us who aren't really affected by this to simply turn away because there is nothing they can do about it. But that's not true. While it is nearly impossible for people like us to assist in stopping these things, we are fully capable of helping with the aftermath. A donation, helping with reconstruction (if you're in the area) or even giving simple condolences to a grieving friend can make a difference. But one thing is for certain. Whatever happens, whatever unspeakable, horrific crimes these radicals may commit, do not let it intimidate you. That is their goal, and if you let them scare you, they've already won. |
No one could of said it better.
I am truly sorry to hear of you loss.
Everytime i hear there has been a bombexplosion, my heart stops beating for a second. The first thing i think is will they say it was a muslim. Unfortunatly most of the time they do. I lwould ike to tell here that it is not the Islam who tells us to go out and kill, no the Islam teaches us to live in peace with everything, people, animals, plants etc. We have respect for all kinds of religions. Islam has several meanings, one of them is peace. I hope you will understand, that there are far more muslims who reject violance than those who use it. That is why my thoughts are today in London for all those who sufferd a black day in history.
I can't believe that theres another bombing!!!!!!!!!!!

By all means, take all the time you need. Real life comes first.
