Messages - Techerakh

#1
Gallifreyan Master Techerakh - Command Chamber, Battlecruiser Prodigal Son

Techerakh heard the psychic call from his fellow council member. He projected his senses toward the Starfleet station, until he could observe the gathering of various Federation and Gallifreyan personnel.

Techerakh concentrated, and caused his physical essence to follow his consciousness, effectively teleporting himself to the wardroom. He dispelled a few odd looks from the humans, and took a seat.

"Show off," came the thoughts of Legudon in his mind. Techerakh smiled smugly.

Master Techerakh - Starfleet Wardroom, Starbase Avalon

"I believe I have a decent solution to that end, Mr. Karelia. If I recall, we imparted Starfleet with a unique vessel, comprised of a hybrid of Federation and Gallifreyan technology. The Radiant Thunder. I also believe this vessel still resides in your spacedock. The crew of the Rivendell has manned the Thunder before, surely they can do it again?"

Master Techerakh - Citadel of Adun

"Taurik!" exclaimed Techerakh, freed from his unconsciousness after the cessation of psionic combat. "You've done it! You've defeated Ar'Krakh! The Na'jigat, the Heraan, everything... it's over! And the union! It was the most profound thing I've ever experienced!"

Taurik seemed distant, and did not answer Techerakh. "Taurik?" the master queried. "Are you alright?"

The wearied Vulcan's consciousness was now begging to be set free., and it was all Taurik could do to contain it. Techerakh's comments seemed quieter and quieter as Taurik finally stopped holding back and his consciousness expanded with ease. Eventually, it began to encompass things that Taurik could never have imagined. Techerakh was shocked when Taurik's body began to glow, and was feeling genuine fear on behalf of his friend when the Vulcan's form finally turned completely pale blue. It dawned on the Gallifreyan, as the spectacle continued, what was happening.

Taurik's corporeal form was no longer capable of containing his consciousness.

And as the brightly radiant form began to dissipate, Techerakh watched in awe, watched as his friend, student, and savior ceased to exist on the mortal plane. Techerakh was always taught to be skeptical of the stories of the Nil'kemorya, as the evidence of it's existence was never conclusive. But now, as Taurik's body disappeared, yet his presence grew ever stronger, it was never more clear to Techerakh that the Nil'kemorya, the Spirit of the Universe, was a reality.

The Citadel grew quiet as Taurik's ascension came to an end. The wind, no longer drowned out, could be heard whistling though the scars in the building's roof. The others began to rise, and Techerakh was treated to a barrage of questions. "Ar'Krakh? The Na'jigat?" they asked frantically.

"Defeated."

"And Master Taurik--"

"Gone." Techerakh appeared grim, but revised his statment after some thought. 'At least... for now."

Master Techerakh - Command Chamber, Gallifreyan Battlecruiser Prodigal Son

Techerakh stepped onto the command chamber, and walked up the ramp to the smaller kiir's altar. Here, with the crew of the Prodigal Son around him, and the vast gallery of holographic monitors around him, was one of the only places he felt truly at home. The other was in the main chamber of the Citadel of Adun.

"Ready drives," came the master's psychic call, more efficient than vocal orders. "Make ready for the trip to Gallifrey."

The vetrakiir of the ship, the effective first officer, stepped to the master quietly, and ensured their thoughts were their own. "Master," he asked, "it can't really be true, can it?"

"You know the answer as you ask," came Techerakh's response. "The Na'jigat strive to destroy all we are, and no creature who's heart beats in his chest is safe from their destructive power. Not even the Heraan, but they'll not understand this."

"They haven't the gift of such wise leaders," the vetrakiir sent humbly.

Techerakh smiled, and turned back to the crew around him. "Take us home," he said vocally.

Master Techerakh - Jungles of Gallifrey

Techerakh took the lead, proceeding forward slowly so as not to make too much noise. Although visibly absent, they were still easily capable of betraying their presence with sound. He, as well as the others, left his khala dark, since it's blade could not be disguised like his body could.

With Taurik on his left, Alexia on his right, and Legudon behind them, the four warriors crept up on the unsuspecting Heraan, masking their psionic presence as best as they could. They broke from one another, forming as complete a circle as they could, closing in from all angles as the Heraan investigated the area for signs of human traffic. And finally, with one of the elites at arms length, Techerakh lit his khala, and as he cut the Heraan down, the alien's compatriots saw him killed by what looked like a levitating blade of energy. The other three Sentinels slew their respective targets as well, and the Heraan, their force cut in half, desperately tried to fight off their attackers. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to coordinate an effective defense before being slain, and the Gallifreyans managed to defeat the entire hunting party without the Heraan ever firing a shot.

Master Techerakh - Starfleet Wardroom, Starbase Avalon

"Very well, then it is settled. Master Legudon, I have complete faith in these humans and their ability to bolster the defense of Gallifrey. Which brings me to my impatience... Gallifrey awaits us."

Techerakh stood from his chair. "I hunger to face the Heraani mongrels on the plains of Gallifrey, and show them what it means to be a true warrior!"

Master Techerakh - Crash Site, Antioch's Presidium

Techerakh deactivated his khalai and returned them to his belt. He watched as the marines began to patch their wounded, and addressed the gathered commanders. "I feel the need to remind you all that we have a task to complete. Ar'Krakh is still within the Citadel, and we must make our way to him."

Taurik nodded. "I concur. We must proceed. Ms. Raszagal, you've proven yourself most capable, and I am aware of your previous reputation as a powerful Templar. We would appreciate if you would join us."

Raszagal nodded in respect to the Master Sentinel and replied, "I would be honored to join, but I wish to bring some of my companions. Four should do, any more are in danger of being exposed." The major paused for a moment. "Vasquez," she said, pointing to each as she called their name, "Simpson, Keller, and Dolan. They're all some of the best in their field, and they'll be of great help, even if they aren't psionics."

Taurik appeared to be ready to protest, but stopped himself before he spoke. Being a Starfleet captain, he obviously could respect the abilities of his Federation compatriots on the battlefield. His experience with the Order wouldn't have changed that. "Very well," Taurik announced. "Myself, my fellow masters and their apprentices, as well as the chosen Federation personnel will proceed toward the Citadel. I need not remind anyone that the fighting will be extreme. Steel yourselves."

With that statement, the chosen warriors departed, their group consisting of Masters Taurik, Techerakh, and Legudon, the apprentices Alexia and Raszagal, as well as Lieutenants Dolan and Simpson, Staff Sergeant Vasquez, and Lance Corporal Keller. The remainder of the Starfleet and marine personnel bunkered down around and within Charlie 0-2-2, with the hopes that there would be no notable Heraani retaliation.

Master Techerakh - Command Chamber, Gallifreyan flagship Prodigal Son

"Warm the lines and prepare to fire!" Techerakh projected to his crew. The crew of the Prodigal Son was one of the finest in the fleet, his vetrakiir having turned down commands to remain at his master's side. He had full confidence that if only one ship were to survive this fight, it would be the Prodigal Son.

Suddenly, a communication came in. As usual, it was the psionic emanations of one of the Gallifreyans on the surface, amplified by the ship's own communications equipment so as to be detectable by everyone in the command chamber. "This is Chronicler Aldazar! The Heraan are planetside, and are tearing through our numbers here. Most of us nearby are only historians, we're not powerful enough to fight them off!"

Techerakh was shocked. He signaled to his vetrakiir to take command, and to three of his best Templar, and left for the hangar bay.

Master Techerakh - Pelican Dropship Charlie 0-2-2

Techerakh stepped from the open troop bay into the cockpit, and caught the pilot's attention. "Pilot," he said, "divert course, take us into the heart of Antioch."

The pilot turned, looking at Techerakh like he was crazy. "Sir, the city is chock-full of baddies. We'll never make it in there alive!"

"Do it anyway."

"Master Techerakh, I'm not gonna--"

Techerakh took a step toward him, his eyes piercing the pilot's stare. "I won't say it again, human," he said softly through a clenched jaw. The pilot hesitated for a moment, then turned back to the controls, and swerved the dropship from it's escape course and toward the center of the city.

Master Techerakh

"Mr. Balkazar, I will be happy to explain everything in detail soon enough. But I have things that require my attention first." Techerakh opened a communication with the Prodigal Son in orbit. "Report?" he asked.

Master Vetraas replied. "The Heraan are ceasing fire! All of a sudden, they just stopped attacking. They've formed up, shut down their engines... and they're just sitting there!"

"I'll be along shortly," Techerakh responded. He pointed to Raszagal and Alexia, who were resting across the antechamber. "With me." he ordered.

A comm whistle sounded, and a message played in the Ops center.

"This is Master Techerakh of the Gallifreyan scoutship Ascendant Justice. Myself and my associate would like to land and meet with Colonel Balkazar."

"Very well. Thank you, Dantor. Justice out."

The Ascendant Justice veered from it's course toward Dantor, and fell into a landing pattern with the Lothlorien's landing bay.

(OFF: I (Raynor) spend nine hours every day selling computers to whiny, annoying customers. When I get home at 7:00 at night, I usually just plop on the couch for a while. I'm often too tired to post with every minor character.)

"Colonel, I have much more experience with the Heraan than you. Believe me when I tell you that this outpost is more than your troops can handle."

Almost as if in response to the Master's statement, three more Heraani elites stepped into the clear with their blades drawn.

"I believe my point has been made," Techerakh said while igniting his khala.
#14
"Essentially. With luck, you may reuse you old tactics against a fresh legion. But if a large enough number of Heraan can survive a battle with you and return to their people, they may teach your tactics to them. Not only will they understand your tactics, they may also use them against you. Despite their inexperience, the Heraan are very intelligent."
#15
Leaping back into friendly lines, Techerakh surveyed the casualties. Seventeen dead Heraan, twenty-eight dead marines.

He moved over to the colonel, who was kneeled behind a barrier. "Colonel," he said, "I would suggest you order a retreat. You are not going to win this battle."
