OOC* Sorry I haven't done any posting recently. Exams.

IC*

O'Clare found himself pulling 5 sets of armour across the terrain. Moving up to Commander Cook he proffered the armour. It wasn't full armour, just the basic head-torso unit but any armour was better than none.

"Armour for you sir. Anymore unarmoured people around?"

Michael and Commander Cook were moving as fast as possible to the field HQ. Cook had a type II phaser on his hip and O'Clare had dug up a type IV rifle. The enemy were about 5-10 minutes away but Michael didn't know when or where they would attack. He just knew he had to hurry and get back to the fight.

Eventually Michael got the Commander to the field HQ and handed him over to the guards there.

=A= O'Clare to Richerd. Delivered the Commander. Anything else sir?=A=

Michael stood even further to attention as the General walked into ops. It wasn't often a cadet was in the presence of a General.

Cadet O'Clare walked into Operations, having been cleared by the marines posted outside. He'd been ordered to report to a Lt. Col Balkazar for academy training on-planet and the computer trace of the Colonel's commbadge led here.

The inside was well lit with the quiet buzz of a well run ops and the chirps of LCARS displays filling the air. Michael could hear something else, no not hear something, think-hear something. The humdrum thoughts of non-telepaths were dull beside this new presence. Knowing it was against Starfleet regulations to scan anyone against their will, Michael just sent a burst of thought towards the mind.

"Hello. Who are you?"

O'Clare stumbled into the transporter room. Seeing the 6 marines in the room, Michael jogged over to stand with the marines.

Checking his equipment over one last time, Michael stood at a good approximation of attention.

"SIR YES SIR" came the shouted response. "Permission to get my kit, sir."

No sir, I just arrived. I imagine the procedure would be to stay out of everyone's way and let the people with training handle it.

Michael walked into the classroom and looked around. Deserted. Nobody there. Michael wasn't suprised. There wasn't really an abundance of Marine volunteers, and the ones who did volunteer wouldn't want to be cooped up in a training post. Michael walked over to one of the rigid and uncomfortable seats - standard fare for cadets so they wouldn't fall asleep - and sat down.

"Yes, sir."

Michael moved over to the door and stood imposingly on the right side, Hank on the left. The rest of the marines spread out to take their positions.

Michael held himself together. He'd been on tons of transporters before as transporters were used regularly on earth. Besides, the transport had been through a regular transporter station so disorientation was minimal.
