Avalon "Thong Store" / PARTY!!!!!
July 14, 2005, 07:59:50 PM
(OFF: Oh please, no...)

Kelli is walking along the Promenade when she hears a large commotion in a place called the "Avalon Thong Store". She walks inside, confused.

"What the hell is a thong?" Suddenly she catches a glimpse of the store's wares.

"Oh..."

--Starfleet Personnel File--

Name: Kelli Renee Lauren
Rank (Starfleet): Lieutenant Commander
Rank (Klingon Defense Force) Lieutenant
Assignment: Chief of Security, U.S.S. Evolution, NCC-14320

Age: 26 (As of May 4, 2382)
Species: Human Female
Date of Birth: May 4, 2356
Place of Birth New Jersey, Earth

Bio:
Kelli knew she wanted to be in Starfleet ever since she saw the uniform. When her father was killed by the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001, she was only a 2nd-year student at Starfleet Academy. Ever since then, she dedicated herself to the protection of Starfleet and the Federation from it's enemies. Kelli spent time with the Klingon Defense Force during the Dominion War, and as an Ensign, made a personal request of General Martok to be transferred to the Klingon Fleet on the front lines. Kelli served as gunner on the I.K.S. Qugh'beH, a K'Vort class bird of prey, and made it to the Klingon rank of Lieutenant. After the war, Starfleet, on the recommendation of General Martok, gave Kelli the equivalent rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Commander Lauren and two security officers from Starbase Avalon walk onto the bridge. Lauren moves up to Captains Sanchez and Taurik.

"I'm very sorry, sirs," she said solemnly. "But it's time to leave."

"Oh, I've got a soft side, but it just doesn't come out while in uniform. Try spending two-and-a-half years with the Klingons, and you'll be pretty harsh, too."

"Ever heard of seniority, there, chief? I've been an officer on this ship longer than you, I've held this rank longer than you, and I'm the second officer. I don't give a rat's ass if you've got the same pins as me, I outrank you. If you've got beef with that, take it to Morga or to the captain. I'm a stickler for authority, and when someone steps out of line, I'm going to jump up their ass for it. Remember that, and I won't even need to be such a #####."

(OFF: Okay, what the hell is Alexia doing here? We are NOT going through this again...)

Kelli fired off a shot at the Gallifreyan, only to duck just in time not to get hit in the face with her own shot.

"Yeah, I think we should hold back. We have to admit that this one is beyond us."

"No, no, he can stay here. I could use his help with the prisoner. As for you, I'd like to see you in my office as soon as we're done here."

The last comment struck a nerve. "I could be doing my job if you weren't down here getting in my way! By the way, how's ENGINEERING?"

"Captain, this is amazing! Readings are showing our shields to be at 1200% of standard capacity! Whatever he's doing, he'd better keep it up, because we'll need it if we don't want to get lashed apart by those quantum filaments."

As soon as the doors hissed closed, and no one but the two officers were in the room, Kelli pulled her commbadge off of her uniform and slapped it onto the brig control console before walking over to the cell.

"Alright, rank is no longer the issue. Where the hell do you get off disrespecting me in front of others like that? I really don't care if you don't like me, but if you've got a problem with me, spill it. Like I said, it's off the record."

(OFF: Approaching Starbase Avalon would be a good idea, yes.)

Commander Lauren and Ensign Ramirez entered the brig, and Lauren went up to the Captain. "Reporting as ordered, sir," she said.

"I called you a ratchethead. Whoop-dee-doo. I think I'll decide whether or not he needs discipline, as I am the security chief, after all. I don't need you tossing him into the manifolds to do your dirty work, that's what your own engineers are for. And I definitely don't appreciate you telling me how to do my job, insisting I am not doing it, or threatening me with legal action. I am your superior, whether you like it or not, and you will respect it until, like now, I give you temporary permission to disregard it. Unless I give you that right, you have no place talking back, no matter what I say to you."

(OFF: Yeah, it's a dream of her time in the Dominion War.)

U.S.S. Riyadh, Federation/Cardassian Border

"Let's get out of here! The ship's about to fall apart!"

"I'm going, I'm going!" Kelli yelled back. "I'm gonna blow through the bay door, hold on!"

She fired a pair of torpedoes at the large bay door while ramming the shuttle through it, sufficiently decimating the door to allow the ship to exit. Not a split second before the shuttle got out of the door, the Riyadh began to erupt in flame. Relying on every bit of her piloting training from the Academy, she reconfigured the warp field and jumped to warp just before the ship's warp core collapsed.

Both Kelli and Bryan gave sighs of relief. They had, luckily, escaped the implosion of the warp core, but many of their friends and coworkers, regrettably, did not. They both sat back and rested while the ship's autopilot took them toward Deep Space Nine.

Kelli whispered back to Harf. "If you really want to go by tradition, sir, winning would make me the new first officer."

"Lieutenant Commander Spock, you will come to my office immediately after the prisoner is discharged to Avalon! That is a direct order! You seem to forget that I am the second officer of this vessel. If you talk back one more time, you'll be the one in the brig cell, understood?"
