Messages - Dar'Nas

Ensign Dar'Nas, USS Normandy Escape pod
Dar'Nas set a evasive course towards Gallifrey at best possible speed. The console beeped alerting him that the starboard thruster was failing and would be offline in 14.38 seconds. Dar'Nas contacted his superior and reported in. He knew the Heraan would dect it but it was his only chance to relay his landing coordinates in code.

The pod was just about to enter the upper atmosphere when the thruster went offline with a soft nudge. Dar'Nas was able to compensate with the other three but would still reenter too quickly for anyones liking.

The air in the cabin began to get slightly warmer, a short ensign was the first to notice. Dar'Nas redirected power from all nonesintila systems to the structural integrity field and the remaining thrusters. The pod began to hum with the increased speed, Dar'Nas aimed the pod toward a small body of water and waited.

"Brace for impact" said Dar'Nas when the pod was 10 seconds from the lake. The pod hammered into the water about 5 meters off shore.  After activating the pods outer hatch the crew began to swim to shore. After treating a minor laceration he realized the Heraan were half a minute away.
Dar'Nas and two others cut down two trees for cover. After 4 minutes of almost continuous phaser fire a tall ensign saw the Pelican approaching on the horizon.
Dar'Nas ordered to cease fire. This confused the Heraan but only for an instant when the realization struck them. The Pelican fired and cleared a area for retreival of the Normandy crew.

(OOC: I dont know if pelicans have weapons but I guss they do now)

Ensign Dar'Nas-USS Normandy, Quarters
Dar'Nas was meditating, clearing his mind of everthing, acheiving let'thieri for only moments before his com badge alerted him to a incomming mesage. The parts essential he needed have been replicated and were ready to be installed. He instructed the parts to be installed without him.

Dar'Nas tapped his com badge.

"Reporting sir, he said, the deflector pulse was succesful, we dispatched the Herann commanders, they've regrouped at their ship but without their commanders they seem disorganized, we now have a tactical advantage."

Realizing that the crew had trouble translating Heraan Dar'Nas took it upon himself to make a translation program. It was adaptive so it would "learn" the langauge. This took 2.36 hours of extreme concentration. once done he down loaded it to the computer.

=/\= all hands, this is the chief Engineer, please down load heraan translation program alpha 1 into all tricorders. Dar'Nas out =/\=

< outside ship >
*Dar'Nas heard the alert and proceded to retreat to the safety of the ship. on his way he almost stumbles over a wounded crew member. by his calculations he would have 7.2 seconds befor the pulse was engaged.*
is their any other injuries before i move you he asked?
no she said
*as he was helping the crew member he was wounded in the right shoulder. he supressed the pain as best he could but he couldn't help wincing as he supported his ship mate. they both went to the triage center.*

Once the engineering teams finished their assignments they reported back to Dar'Nas.
"Split into three groups, group one, work on repairing the engines." Group two was smaller because the engins took pirority. "Group two, work on the communications. Group three restore the shields, we need these systmes now. I'll work on the weapons systems with who ever else can help." He said with cool efficienty.

Sir, the Heraan have advanced their position, the probability of a Heraan attack is 93.7% I suggest that we take action soon.

(( OOC: Let the guy have his fun? So you want me to say "could you maybe in your spare time help stop us all from dying?? http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>))

" Your reprorgamming is complete " Came the response "I am sorry to take up your disembowlment time, and your insults are not effictive when no emotion is present. Now you may help now."

Dar'Nas was examing the self destruct charges and realizes that if the computer dected that the charge was being removed it might increse the security so he set up a dampening field around that section of the drive and reported to his superior.

Dar'Nas took his engineering team aboard the Heraani scoutship to be studied in detail. The work was slowed because they had to rely on translators to read the langauge.
When they had finished they found that the ships major systms were operational howerever the secondary systems were substandard but would be acceptable. He made that report to his ranking officer

Dar'Nas grabbed a phaser and set it to its highest setting and started to fire. The Heraani began to recover from the pulse and were starting to fire back. Dar'Nas took cover behind a tree trunk along with two other crew members, the top of the tree had snapped off duing the deflector pulse. The three had taken out a number of Heraani and began to fall back because the tree was weakened from the pulse and the weapons fire and soon it would break through the tree. they were now back in the open and still falling back bacause their phasers were losing power from being on maximum.

he tapped his com badge and told the captain that the sensors were up and running at 63.4%.

" You may proceed Lieutenant Dolan." Came the response.

Dar'Nas was working on a way to increase the accuracy of the translation matrix. He succeded in an increase of 13.68%.

=/\= Dar'Nas to all hands, please reload the translation matrix Dar'Nas out =/\=

=/\= Dar'Nas to colonel Balkazar, is it possible to program HK47 to proccess Haraan? If so please have him report to engineering. =/\=

((OOC: Great now i have to fix the ship and the translation http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry3.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry3:'>))
Dar'Nas held a bulkhead to steady himself.
" We will have to defuse the self destruct charges manually. We will divide into sections. Jarn, Morgan, Martin,
Fredrickson, restore life support; use a inverse E.M. field to disrupt the force fields . Anthony, Okuda, Lucien,  disable the self destruct. Any Others work on braking the security lock out. Mitchell, reestablish communications"  He announced calmly. " Arm yourselves if we do reestablish computer control the security protocols havent been disabled yet. You have your orders, we have 57 minuits till self destruct."
He went to fix the translation program making it more accurite so as to not make any mistakes when disabling the security protocols.
