Temples of Sordinan / Welcoming Preperations
February 06, 2004, 02:42:29 AM
*aproaches Legudon*

Sir, perhaps I can be of assistance. My species has heightened telepathic abilities. I had a vision moments ago. I thought it was some sort of hallucination, but now I see that I may have sensed the telepathic signature of those Na'jigat you speak of.

Would you like me to join you in your attempt of gathering telepathic energy? We Vulcans are experienced in a practice known as mind-meld, which fuses the minds of two individuals, increasing their telepathic abilities.

I am also the helm officer of the USS Evolution, so all informatio you could spare on this threat would be most welcome.

They do indeed, sir. However, I was refering to the Andorian pre-warp style. Though it is fascinating to know that this civilization built this after discovering the warp technology.

This only corroborates to their previous demonstrations of strong and unified religious beliefs. Fascinating indeed...

*Dalon awakens, looking confused. He stands up from the floor and looks at Admiral Vorak. He then walks towards the Admiral and speaks softly*

Admiral... Sir, did you feel it? I was overwhelmed... I was also... *raises his elbrow* given a vision.

It was not a purely visual experience, though. I felt great cold and pain. I tried to concentrate, but the experience was almost maddening.

And I saw a battle, and the QSN, as if I were floating in space. Quite disturbing.

I must concur, sir. This temple is indeed impressive.

Their architectural style vaguely resembles that of the early Andorian monarchy. Second century, perhaps. Definately pre-warp.

*comes closer to a statue*

Most fascinating. Their sculpting skills seem to be superior to most on the Alpha Quadrant. We could learn much from them.

Yes I am, sir. It was just a side effect of the religious cerimony. Perhaps one of the visions that Ardwyad told us about, but that is of no consequence now. We Vulcans have a heightened telepathic sense.

*Looks to a huge wall filled with books*

This library is quite impressive.

*Dalon completes the chanting along with the others and remains silent, as if examining the statue.  Suddenly he falls on his knees, hands on both sides of his head, las if there was an intense sound in the room.*

AHHHHHHHHHHH.... MUST... STOP... CONCENTRATE...

*Dalon falls with his back flat on the stone floor, unconscious*

*Dalon calmly drinks the glass of Razanis that Reeves gave him. His Vulcan control never seems to waver. Everyone looks at him with expectations, because everyone wonders if it will have the same effect on a Vulcan as on a Human, but Dalon does not seem to give the slightest hint. Then he looks at the person on his left, Ragolis, and calmly begins to continue the ceremony by taking some salt from the box and putting it in the hand of Ragolis.*
"The salt, for the bitterness of life."
*He calmly waits until Ragolis eats the salt, and then fills his glass with the Razanis.*
"The Razanis, to rejoice the soul."
*Then he gives the glass to Ragolis.*
"I am the past and the future.  And the future commands. Be my friend for the present."
*At the moment Ragolis wants to drink it, Dalon suddenly starts singing really loud, his voice pitching from very high to very low and back. Ragolis almost spoils his drink from the unexpected singing.*

*lifts his hand and speaks in a very mild tone*

Risking a break on the protocol, since I am the lower ranking officer in this table, I would like to ask you, Admiral Vorak, and you, Chief of Command Ardwyad of the ASC Revox, for permission to attend this religious cerimony along with Captain Randall Sanchez of the USS Evolution.

Thugh it was his decision to enter the abode of your gods, Chief Ardwyad, it was I who piloted the ship in. Thus, from what I managed to gather from your religious system, I would be held responsible too, since I should have refused to obey the order if I had known of the prohibition beforehand.

The Vulcan belief *looks at Admiral Vorak* of IDIC, which means Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations and is one of the core ideals of our Federation's Constitution, says that all beliefs should be respected equally and treasured, for diversity expresses the Universe's beauty and it is not logical to go aginst it.

*stands up after the Captain. before leaving the room he turns back, looking slightly embarassed*

I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience. Live long and prosper. *opens hand doing the Vulcan hand sign, then turns around and leaves*

OFF: No problem sir. I was very well represented in your post. http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> By the way, I am on vacations and won't be able to post frequently for some time. Sorry for that. Live long and prosper.

*opens his hand doing the traditional vulcan hand sign*

Live long and prosper Admiral Vorak.

*sits down*

Thank you Admiral. It is an honor to finally meet you in person. You are very well spoken of in Vulcan lately because of your efforts on this quadrant.

*straightens his uniform and turns to Captain Sanchez*

I expect to be of some help in these negotiations. Perhaps in discussing technical and scientific matters.

I must say that I find their concept of a sungularity network as the home of their gods fascinating. It somewhat resembles the Bajoran mythology.

Perhaps a Bajoran representative would be helpful in future negotiations, sir.
