Crew Biographies / Hedford, Christopher
February 15, 2006, 10:12:16 PM
FULL NAME: Christopher Hedford
BORN: 2342
ORIGIN: Human
PLACE OF BIRTH: New Berlin, Federation settlement on Earth's moon.
RANK: Commodore
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: Station Avalon CO
ACHIEVEMENTS: Decorated 7 times by Starfleet as of 2373

PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY
CAREER:
2342: Christopher Hedford was born
2363: Graduated from Starfleet Academy and was first assigned to the USS Fearless (NCC – 4598) as helm officer.
2364: Starfleet propulsion specialist Kosinski performed an unsuccessful series of experimental engine software upgrades on the USS Fearless. The USS Fearless later transported Kosinski and his assistant to the Enterprise-D, where similar upgrades were attempted.
2366: Promoted to Lieutenant
2367: Hedford looses his father who was Chief Science officer aboard the destroyed USS Saratoga (NCC – 31911) in the battle at Wolf 359.
2369: Promoted to Lieutenant Commander and assigned to the USS Farragut (NCC – 60591).
2371: The USS Farragut is one of the three starships that transported the crew of the Enterprise-D from Veridian III after the Enterprise-D saucer section crash-landed there.
2372: Assigned to the USS Galaxy (NCC – 70637)
2374: Hedford is chosen to become the First officer aboard the USS Galaxy and is promoted to Commander.
The USS Galaxy, and four other ships of its class, fought in the combined fleet of allied Alpha Quadrant forces that invaded Cardassian space at the Chin'toka System. The USS Galaxy was seriously damaged in the battle.
2375: After the Dominion war, Hedford was praised by Captain Valdez for his courage and skills. These words were partially made because Hedford had commanded the ship during the invasion of the Chin'toka System while Captain Valdez had been injured by an exploding console.
2376: Hedford is assigned to Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards where he was given several positions. He is also promoted to Major due to the tasks he has been given.
2378: Asked for a transfer to the Expansion Project. He was placed as First officer at Station Avalon under the command of Flag Admiral Vorak.
2380: Promoted to Commodore and was given the position as Commanding officer at Station Avalon.

PERSONAL:
Born in 2342 in New Berlin and lost his father in 2367 during the Borg attack at Wolf 359. He also has a sister who moved to Earth a couple of years ago and took his mother with her. They are living together in New York and are both well known fashion designers.
He has been decorated by Starfleet for his skills during the Dominion War and for his research at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:
Hedford has two ambitions, one of them is the holodeck and the other is the collection of small starships in his quarters. He tries to find new interests but his work and these two ambitions keep him busy. On the holodeck he has several programs he loves to run, but the one that contains Wolf 359 is visited most. The program contains the exact happening at the star located 7.8 light-years from Sol. He often tries to prevent the destruction of the  USS Saratoga and the other 38 ships but has not yet been successful.

*Hedford touches some buttons on his console, which gives the weapons-array the command to begin to fire on the Romulan Warbirds again. The Romulan ships take heavy damage, but before the last ship is disabled the Stations weapons array begins to fail.*

"Admiral Vorak, it seems the weapons array is damaged. I can't tell if this is done from the outside or inside"

*Hedford's reaction came a bit late, but he had to focus on the Romulan warships outside. He had to help the fleet of Starfleet Starships that were under heavy fire. The manual firing wasn't as effective as a computer, but he had done some damage to the Romulans.*

"Admiral Vorak, the weapons systems are still operational. Alltough I have no idea how long I can hold them off"

OFF: this is Vorak posting with the Hedford character, he requested me to keep his chars going until he can be back after his school exams. And since nobody's going to  give the ASC Revox permission to dock, I'll do it or this mission will never be completed.

=^= DS12 to Revox =^=
You have permission to dock, Mr. Ardwyad. Welcome aboard our station, in name of Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets.
=^= Hedford out =^=

*Hedford remain seated as the fight behind him began. He was trying to block the Romulan communications from the Station to their ships.*

"Guys, when you think you are ready over here. You might want to check out the Comms-array chambre, some Romulan officers are trying to block me out and trying to get reinforcements."

*Pushes several buttons and tries to target the Romulan vessels*

"Admiral Vorak, it seems on of our ships is surrounded by four Romulan Vessels, we could help them a hand but then our cover is blown and the Romulan will know that the station-weaponsarray is in our hands."

*Hedford stands by to give the last command which would fire upon the Romulan Vessels. He awaited the answer from Admiral Vorak*

"It seems Engineering is ours Admiral Vorak. And Mr Huw it's an honour to have such a great warriour on our side, but patience is also a good quality of a good warrior. When Mr Walker and Michaels, have disabled those Romulans at the Comms-array, we are able to move towards the bridge"

*Finally sits back in his chair, the manual work on the weaponsarray wasn't needed anymore. He relaxed for 2 minutes and then stood up, he noticed that several officers of the team were fighting the last remaining Romulans onboard the station. Hedford deciced to help*

"Admiral Vorak, good to see you. We are all still in one peace, thank god. But what will our next step be now?"

"Understood sir"

*Hedford began to give the instructions to the weapons-array. All weapons that were available suddenly began to fire on the Romulan ships orbitting the station. The torpedo's that hit the hull, could be heared inside Engineering. The battle had turned into their advantage now*

"Yes Admiral Vorak, indeed a drink. Shall we go?"

Hedford made a gesture that the Admiral should lead

"I must say, that Vulcan Logic sure made the difference today. It never thought it would be some #### important, no harm intended"

*Turns to the right console and sits down*

Hedford began to prepare the communications-array to send a message to all Federation-ships. His actions were not allowed to alert the present Romulans onboard the station, so every step he made was already taken in consideration in his mind. During the proces, Hedford looked at Admiral Vorak who was staring at his own console. The admiral was, as always, totaly in control of the situation. Like a vulcan, he didn't express any emotion, you coulnd't see tension nor was he anxious. Hedford was wondering if he had this switch, because he was feeling some kind of pressure. Tough he didn't let it to be noticed by the other officers. Hedford loved the action, he was a real thrill-seeker. He had been in many combat-actions, only this time it was different. There was this unknown feeling, the feeling that he was being watched, his actions were very important for the continuing of the mission. So was that the reason of this strange feeling? Hedford suddenly stopped and snapped out of his thoughts, he concentrated on the screen. He had configured the array and had made the possibility of sending a message to all Federation ships, possible. The message was ready to be sent, without the Romulans noticing. The attack would be a total suprise, which was a good advantage.

"Admiral Vorak, the message is ready to be sent. The Romulans will not notice the transmission at all, the only thing they will see is our fleet aiming at their heads"

Hedford smiled and awaited Admiral Voraks reaction

Hedford was still firing the stations weapons array, as he notices something on his targettingscanners

"Admiral Vorak, it seems we have company. An unidentified vessel has dropped out of warp and decided to aid our fleet. They have destroyed several Romulan ships and are heading towards the last remaining Romulan cruisers. It seems we are on the winning team admiral!"
