While the other Intel branches still report to me, it will open the position of Starfleet Intelligence Director for you. He'll have my answer the day after tomorrow.

did you look at the Intel webpage? It will tell you the purpose of Starfleet Intelligence.

FBI, is the "Internal Affairs". They mostly do the groundwork for JAG. Investigating Offices that are suspect for any reason. If they find something wrong, it is usually submitted to JAG to deal with.
