"im actaivating shields and the force fields around the core. if one of those tears breaches the core, they'll need a particle net to sift through the wreckage."

<walks over and puts a hand on Tragare as the jolt passes>

"hey, its not nice to touch uninvited. you may get burned. or in this case, zapped."

<turns to HK47>

"your designation is HK47? yes? will you assist me at engineering? i need you watch the power flow and intermix while i do a systems diagnostic on the wepons power relays."

"i appoligize then. i saw an ensign  and a robot, i mistakenly assumed the ensign belonged."
<turns toward the enginering station>
"comon, ensign, give me a hand over here. leave it to its dutys."

"crewman beta is correct. we are one of the few classes to have emmiters on the bridge."

OOC: what time line are we in? can i just whip up a mobile emitter?

<having been silent for a few minuites, working at his staton torbin looks up as Beta approches.pulling the appripate tool from his jacket he tunes the emmiter>

"nice to meet you Mr. beta. i must say ive never the had the
privlige of working with a hollogram before. and yes, if teh captain or first officer ok's it i would like a hand in engineering."

<replacing the tool beta shimmers and is downloaded in the emiter>

"but just a moment Beta, i have an idea that the captain should hear.
Sir, i've had the plesure of working several types of antimatter reacters in my carrer, and i think, if you're worried that the evolution is under attack by some hostile force, i could rig up a masking array. well, that is i could change our warp signiture to that of somthing unasuming, say, like freighter. we would have to drop out of warp, and i'll have to put the core in standby mode do do it, but i could give us the exact signiture of a freighter.
i could even burn some deturimum to make seem we are not a well-oiled starfleet ship, and are a barely flying tramp of some sort. if nothing else, we'll have the jump on whatevers over there."

<spoting the captain he strides purposefuly over to him>
"Lieutenant Kristoffer Kayetan repoting for duty sir."
<glancing teh engineering station out of the corner of his eye he goes on slighty apprehensive>
"apologies for my lateness sir. there was a problem with my personal gear and i had to go all the way down to storage eight to get it."

=/\=Torbin to bridge, sorry about the hold up, its a mess down here in engineering. i am dumping nacelle energy into the the dish. maximum power in five seconds . . . four . . . three . . . =/\=

Torbin grabs an edge of the console he is working at as he reaches two and grips it for dear life as untold amouts of energy are dumped into the deflector, the energy flow loud enough to drown out the yelling of the other engineers.

torbin was having much the same problem that beta was having trying to get to engineering.

dman, dman-damn,damn. ok stop. ive got to program force fields for the whole ship, to do that i need a main engineers console, and the only place they are , is in-

he would have smacked himself if he wasn't holding onto a couple of Phasers, this ship can seperate into three, there are three main engineerings! well, only one 'main engineering', the others were 'secondary'.

he had only made it down three levels so he would just take the short cut, looking around for the nearest jefferies tube he spotted the access. he also spotted three heraani shimmer as the cycling lights found the propper spectrum.

Torbin and never been any good with phasers, he barly passed the minimun required test, but he was an engineer, as such he knew alot about the odds.
if you have a 50% chance of hitting somthing, and you have two chances, your odds go WAY up.

each phaser shot a choerent stream of energy for a standerd 1.5 second burst, one beam missed its target, and hit the heraani behind the first, the other though, hit the first one square on the shoulder.

it wasn't Torbin's fault he was bad shot, heck, he didn't even know that the heraani kept their cloaking badge there. and even if he had, he had no way to know that heraani cloaks use Voltain Gas in their core.

but if he had known, he would know that Voltain Gas is sensitive, not normaly, only when it is exposed to Ultra Violet light of a cirtain wave length, and a strong EM field.

light like that which the computer had cycled into in order to keep the cloaks visable, and a EM field like that which the standard type II phaser emitts when fired.

but if you were watching this all you saw was a ensign fire his weapon and then the hall explode. if it wasn't for the curve of the hall, and the alcove that Torbin was in, he would have far, far more than a few minor burns.

Torbin stood shaking, unable to move for a few miniutes and then casuly opened the tube hatch and crawled inside, ignoring the fresh soot and gore on his uniform.

torbin studys his displays intently then speaks,

"Captain, i'm picking up a slight power drain, nothing to extream, but i recomend going to full shields while i try and lock down a source."
