Messages - Legudon

#1
Master Legudon - Turbolift, Starbase Avalon

"Patience, apprentice. Undue haste will be the undoing of us all."

Legudon, Alexia, and Karelia arrived at the command deck, and entered the wardroom. Legudon stepped up to the presentation display, and began to call up records on the Na'jigat, as well as maps of the galactic core and the Gallifrey system.
#2
Gallifreyan Master Legudon - Corridor, Starbase Avalon

Master Legudon stepped onboard the station, the Gallifreyan battlecruiser Tempest holding station near the starbase. This was the fourth Gallifreyan ship to arrive at the Starfleet outpost in the last six hours.

He reached out with his mind, and felt the presence of both Masters Techerakh and Taurik nearby. He sent a psychic message to the both of them. "Meet me on their command deck," he projected. "Our greatest fears are coming to pass."

Legudon made his way sternly to the Starfleet turbolift, and pressed the key that led directly to the command quarters. During the ride, the Gallifreyan master could not help but muse at the inefficiency of such an archaic method of travel. Eventually, he was deposited on the residential decks, and Legudon silently made his way straight to the correct door and, dispensing with the pleasantries, parted his hands and opened the door with a gentle psionic wave.

"We must converse," he said to the humans inside.

Master Legudon - Citadel of Adun

Legudon drew his khala and immediately entered combat with the first Heraan that approached him. These Heraan were master swordsman, but Legudon knew where his own power truly was. He deflected the first attack and immediately threw a blast of psionic energy into the Heraan's midsection. It was thrown into the air and landed hard against a pillar. Legudon knew that his own skills with a blade, while impressive, were not on the caliber of someone like Techerakh or Taurik. If drawn into a long duel with one of these elites, he knew he would eventually lose.

The Heraan began to recover it's stance, and Legudon was immediately on top of him. He made several quick slashes, each deflected with seeming ease by the elite. The Heraan's eyes grew brighter, and it launched it's own psionic barrage on him. Fueled by unbridled rage, the attack threw Legudon across the whole of the antechamber, landing hard on the stone floor and losing his khala in the process. The Heraan jumped into action. By the time Legudon could get to his feet, the alien was at him, charging to run him through. Legudon ducked at the last moment, and then got to his feet as soon as the blade passed, grabbing the alien's weapon arm and throwing his body into the Heraan's own.

During this struggle, Legudon spotted his khala several meters away on the cold floor. He looked at it enough to concentrate a wave of mental energy to carry it to him, and grabbed it as soon as the it came near. Freed from one another, the two warriors were back on neutral terms, neither with the advantage. But before Legudon could move to tip the scales for him, the Heraan attacked. The ceaseless swipes and attacks by a warrior that was at least his equal were more than he could handle, and the Heraan made two final swipes, one severing Legudon's weapon hand, the other creating a sizable gash in his lower torso. The stricken Gallifreyan, lacking the strength to retaliate, fell to the floor. As the Heraan circled around him, Legudon said his final, private words, certain he would not live much longer.

"And now you see, Master, the power of faith in the Na'jigat. Your heresy has finally caught up to you, weakened you to the breaking point." The Heraan put his and slowly around Legudon's throat, and leaned in, eye-to-eye with him. "This day was long in coming, Legudon."The Heraan thrust his blade into Legudon's chest, and the Gallifreyan felt the life leaving him, and could feel death's embrace creeping around him slowly.

In only a few moments, Senior Master Legudon, head of the entire Sentinel caste of the Gallifreyan Order, was dead.

Master Legudon - Starfleet Wardroom, Starbase Avalon

"I am eager as well, brother. But we must give them time to prepare." Legudon turned to face the Starfleet commanders. "Gentlemen, Master Techerakh and I will retreat to our ships, and will leave for Gallifrey in one hour. We hope you will be ready by then."
#5
Master Legudon - Starfleet Wardroom, Starbase Avalon

"I believe that's everyone," Legudon stated. "I'll be quite blunt here. The Na'jigat are primed once more to attack. The last time that they had achieved this level of power, several millennia ago, the Order was still led by Adun. That they have been able to conceal their power from us does not bode well."

"This has led to my recent discovery," he continued. "Not only that, but the Heraan have stepped up the creation of their armed forces almost threefold, and considering their already staggering numbers, that is of great concern. My investigations have led me to believe that their half-hearted attack on Earth recently was but a diversionary tactic; they do not view Earth as a significant target yet. They are focusing their true efforts, I have discovered, on Gallifrey itself."
#6
Master Legudon - Starfleet Wardroom, Starbase Avalon

"This is absolutely correct. And to that end, I have taken the liberty of sending messages to the governments of every major galactic power. All of them were previously aware of the Na'jigat threat, and when I informed them of this latest imminent attack, not one refused to volunteer aid. The Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, and Delta Alliance have dispatched fleets to Gallifrey. The Borg have sent several cubes as well, and the Founders of the Dominion have even volunteered a fleet of Jem'Hadar warships, which has already exited the Bajoran wormhole and is en route to Gallifrey as we speak."

Legudon's proud tone became much more serious. "This is the largest jointly assembled fleet in the history of this galaxy, and I must warn you all that we may still find ourselves outnumbered. The Heraani space fleet is one of the most expansive I've ever seen. Admiral, if I might be so bold, your forces wold benefit from a commander that has seen the most experience with the Heraan. I recommend Taurik as your temporary commodore."

*The meditative humming of the twelve Gallifreyans goes louder and deeper, and everyone can feel that some unusual energy is being built up in the centre of the circle they have formed by sitting on the ground.*

"You may join us, Mr. Dalon... if you are strong enough to go along our concentrated telepathic pathwaves. As for the Na'jigat, we are not authorized to give you full information on them. But I can say that they are a species who have been here - like ourselves - from the beginning of the universe, and originally came from another universe to which you can only go through the Galactic Core of this galaxy. Of course, this core being a black gate singularity, you are not able to survive the transport through it, and the Na'jigat are the only species who are able to reside in there. They are telepathically so strong, that they can manipulate the entire galaxy. If they want you to think them a fleet of ships, they ARE a fleet of ships, not only to your mind, but also to your ship's sensors, even onto the gravitation fields of space itself! There can be no victory against the Na'jigat."
*Then they arrive in the main temple hall of the Goddess, and the twelve Gallifreyans sit down on the floor, in a circle, closing their eyes as they begin some sort of meditative humming and concentrate on their task at hand, a sort of telepathic trance state that will warden off the Na'jigat...*

*At that moment, twelve humanoids appear in front of them. These humanoids, however, are of a species none had seen before. The first and apparently chief of the twelve, steps forward.*
"I am Legudon, Chief of the Gallifreyan Telepath Team. My apologies for the sudden intrusion, but there is little time. Don't fear us, it is thanks to us that you are all still alive. We are the Guardians of the Galactic Core, and this particular swarm of Na'jigat has managed to slip by. The Na'jigat are some sort of pure energy creature that thrives on telepathic energy, they are able to manipulate EVERYTHING in the universe, whicih makes them both powerful and dangerous. We Gallifreyans are also powerful in telepathic abilities, but we can't overmaster the Na'jigat. Even so, the shield that suddenly appeared around your temples is being formed by our people's combined telepathic concentrations on our ship. Indeed, our ship is in orbit around your planet, but we also telepathically hide it from anyone's view and sensors for our own protection and privacy, as well as to keep out of sight from the Na'jigat. As for your two ships, the U.S.S. Evolution and U.S.S. Tiberon, they are in great danger. They are trying to fight the Na'jigat, but there is no escape and no survival for them. If we do not help them now, they will be doomed. Please allow us into your great temple halls, and we will all twelve of us sit down in a circle and begin our combined telepathic concentrations here, to divert the attention of the Na'jigat and chase them back - for awhile. Time is running out."

*Legudon stepped forward from the group to address Vorak.*
"Thank you for your offer, Flag Admiral Vorak... but we're not interested in ties and contacts with any other species in this galaxy. Our sole intention is to keep the Na'jigat where they belong: in the galaxy core, and hunt them down if some of them manage to escape - before they destroy this entire universe. As it is, it is time to go for us now. It was nice meeting you, and next time, try to stay out of the way of the Na'jigat, or you might not be so lucky again."
*He nodds at his fellow people, and they all touch some device on their arm, and then simply dissolve in the air - as quick as they had appeared at first. And seconds later, no trace of them remained, not even of their ships...*

*The humming continues, and the invisible energy keeps building up in the center of the circle the Gallifreyans have formed. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and the Gallifreyans begin to speak simultaneously in harmy the same words.*
"Narajagi.... Sovogula... Najigat sanjanaaaaaaaaaa!"
*And at that moment, the telepathic energy shield around the planet disconnects itself and instead, begins to reform into a long arrow beam, pointing at the two ships. At an incredible speed, it hits the Na'jigat energy cloud and pierces it...*

"Where will you go, Mr. Bostic? To another, distant universe, millions of years from here?"
*A humanoid man of a strange-looking species appears out of nowhere, as the room is suddenly brightening up from some light source unseen and unexplained. The light fades, and the features of the alien become more apparent, as he slowly walks closer to them. When the light has ultimately faded again, eleven other aliens of the same species can be seen behind him.*
"We are talking about the Na'jigat here, the most powerful life form that has ever existed in the galaxy, and ever will be. Oh I know what you're thinking, Ms. Parker, the Borg, Species 8472... yes they're powerful, but the Na'jigat wipes them out in a single breath, even to extinction if it has to. And that too will happen one day. And yes, I can read your thoughts even while you're not thinking them. The Na'jigat is a species of energy in its purest form, and they thrive in the galaxy core, the largest singularity of our galaxy, and they are the only life form that can survive in there permanently. We are the Gallifreyans, and have spent fighting them ever since the dawn of time and creation, and we are the only ones that are strong enough to counter them. But our strength too is fading, after such a long and weary battle, and there is no way we can defeat them. But, as is becoming a habit of us lately apparently, we will save you once more and drive the Na'jigat back again. That is the best we can do, and then all we can do is hope that it doesn't want to return after awhile. But enough talking, I have already said too much. There is work to be done."
*He turns around and nodds at his fellow alien people. All twelve Gallifryeans sit down on the ground, in a circle, closing their eyes as they begin some sort of meditative humming and concentrate on their task at hand, a sort of telepathic trance state that will warden off the Na'jigat... Soon, the meditative humming of the twelve Gallifreyans goes louder and deeper, and unusual energy can be felt being built up in the centre of the circle they have formed by sitting on the ground. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and the Gallifreyans begin to speak simultaneously in harmy the same words.*

*The humming continues and grows stronger, while in the air outside the dark cloud grows restless, even angry... and at one point some apparent lightning flash hits the building, without damaging it, but actually penetrating through it until it hits one of the Gallifreyan members. The Gallifreyan cries out in horror, and then drops dead on the floor. The humming stops and all other Gallifreyans, including Legudon, stare in terror at their comrade.*
"They are becoming stronger... much too strong... and we are becoming weaker. Again we lost another member. But we must not give up!"
*And again, they begin their humming, even more strong and determined right now.*

*The Gallifreyans had felt the loss of the Naji'gat. The ships in orbit had dissapeared and energy had been lost. If the Gallifreyans were to push the Naji'gat back, it had to happen now. Therefor the humming growed stronger*
"They are becoming weaker! We must continue! We have lost one of our brothers but we may not give up now. Let his sacrafice not be for nothing"
*Legudon had spoken to his comrades who were still humming. He quickly follows their example and their humming is to be heared far outside the ruins of Starphoenix.*

OFF: this is my last post before I go on vacation for a month. I'll ask Montrell/Hedford to finish of the story with the Gallifreyans here.
