Phaser Range

[Kawolsky]

"Very good. You are to shoot the yellow targets and I, the blue."  Kawolsky replied

"Computer, begin level 1"

"Level 1 commencing in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....." the computer responded


*With that several targets popped up and began buzzing around*

[Kawolsky]

*Kawolsky managed to hit most of his targets, missing just one*

"Round two over."  the computer announced once again

"Don't worry about it Cadet. Practice makes perfect, as the old 21st century saying goes"

"Round three commencing in 5, 4..."   the computer chirped

"This is the final round in this program, cadet"

[Kawolsky]

[scotty]

* scotty followed the targets with his eyes, he then fired at the first target, hitting it, he then fired at the second, another hit, he fired at another 2 targets, hitting them both. he fred at the last one but missed *

how did i do sir?

[scotty]

* scotty again took position, readying himself. " here goes nothing " he thought. Instantly 3 targets came out an a startiling speed, he fired, hitting 2 and missing one, another 3, he fired "damn only one " he said. another two targets made their way, he fired, hitting both with relitive ease. the final targets came, four targets twirling about, " oh give me a break" he thought. he fired, he hit three and missed the fianl one. he turned to the lieutenant *

" was that satisfactory sir? "

[Kawolsky]

"Well, you did very well indeed. That was the hardest program I had"

*Kawolsky then presses a few buttons on a console*

"Computer, end program"

*The platform disappeared and the familiar yellow lines of the holo-emitters appeared*

"We will now head to my office. I would like to talk with you"

*The two exit the holodeck, heading for Kawolsky's office*

[Kawolsky]

*Kawolsky and Scotty enter the Phaser Range*

"Computer, open program Phaser Range Alpha-One"

*The computer gave its signature beep and the room went dark. A phaser platform appeared in the middle*

" Now, give me two phasers MkII."

*Two Phasers then appeared on a table a meter away. Kawolsky approached the table and picked up one of them*

"Take your weapon cadet"

[Kawolsky]

*Kawolsky fired at the his targets in sucession, hitting all of them*

"Round one over"   the computer announced

"Very good cadet, but don't get complacent, that was just the first round"  Kawolsky replied

"Round two commencing in 5, 4...."  the computer continued

"Here we go"   said Kawolsky

[scotty]

* he lets out a sigh of relief, knowing that the test is over, for now  *

" yes sir, but only basic academy weapons training, thsi was my first security standard phaser test "

[scotty]

*scotty walked over to the table, he picked up the weapon, he noticed how sleek and lightweight it was, he then set it to level one, low stun*

" im ready whenever you are sir "

[scotty]

* scotty prepared himself "just Breathe " he thought. the first 2 target came up, " alot faster this time " he thought he fired at them, hitting both. the next two came out, he fired and hit one, missing the other. another two, he fired, hittng one and missing the other. finally three target came out at a startiling speed, he prepared himself, and fired rapidly, hitting 2 and again missing the last one *

its that last target sir, by the time i've fired, its already moving, don't worry i will try harder sir.

[Kawolsky]

*Kawolsky finished firing at his targets*

"Very good cadet, I am impressed."  Kawolsky replied

"Round three over. Phaser Range Alpha-One finished"   the computer announced

"Computer, state percentage scores for the previous game"

*The computer beeped as it worked*

"Lieutenant Kawolsky scored 83% phaser efficiency, Cadet Scotty scored 66% phaser efficiency"   the computer replied

*Kawolsky turned to the young cadet*

"You should be proud of that score cadet. Have you ever fired a phaser before?"   Kawolsky asked
