Morgan Freeman

"I have the drive ready for a small intra system test which at the very least will scare the crap out of anything that might be monitoring us or the station.  Plus, we may be able to detect the cloaked vessels if we jump in such a small area."  Morgan said checking the status of the new drive system.  He would not want to blow everyone up after just returning to his ship.

Turning to Larial, "Hello dear girl, how are you doing?"

T'lana

T'lana had finished scanning the Jump Drive and moved back down to the primary engineering console, where she discovered that her Jump Drive was being tested by someone else as well...Morgan.
"I apologize Mr. Freeman, I did not know that you were running tests on the Jump Drive as well. I have just finished physically inspecting the components, they are functioning within normal parameters and show no signs of wear."

T'lana looked at the results of the test Morgan had performed, with interest.

"Fascinating." T'lana stated stoically. "It seems once the electromagnetic actuator is in free spin, it does not matter even if a potentially damaging surge of energy travels into the Jump Drive, it will still use that energy."

T'lana

"Thank you Mr. Freeman."

T'lana used her Tricorder to scan for the Canopy release control, to her embarrassment, she was sitting on it.

Hoping no one noticed, T'lana moved down the nose a bit and lifted a small hatch about 5cm by 3cm. Lifting it up she found the hatch release control and activated it.

A sound like air escaping could be heard, as the ship brought the pilot out of suspended animation. A few moments later a hissing sound occurred, as two small hydraulic arms lifted the Canopy.
T'lana moved closer to the open cockpit and reached in lifting the helmet from the pilot's head, placing it on the nose of the ship.

T'lana knelt down into the cockpit and using her high-gravity muscles, lifted the young woman from the flight chair.
Cradling her in her arms, T'lana jumped down from the ship and laid the still unconscious girl onto the deck of the Shuttle Bay.

"She appears to have a concussion , Doctor please assist."

OOC:
Note: Anything with a tilde [~] is a telepathic communication, in this case a direct comm between T'lana and Taurik which given the nature of telepathy can only be picked up so-to-speak by the target. So eaves dropping is impossible regardless of ability and I expect other players to respect that, thank you.

NOTE 2: The SR-1 NORMANDY is a proposal of mine to HC and has the Jumpdrive, the employment of this vessel depends on the amount of users to this site and whether such a vessel would be used by those players.

But I do personally believe that having a Jumpdrive attached to the conventional Warp Drive, would allow for greater story ideas, given the nature of wormholes. Quantum Physics and String Theory, as well as M-Theory allows for Warp and the Hyperspace form of travel. So I see know reason why we cannot use these in STAR TREK, if it is good for Theoretical Physicists, then it is good for us common folk, remember that STAR TREK is built upon real science, well what Gene roddenberry did anyway.

T'lana moved to the Science Station and began a scan of the area.

"Jump complete Captain and 99.2% accurate, destination has been achieved."

T'lana looked at the ship status screen.

"No report of any disorientation yet. The Jump Drive is now in a two minute cooling cycle."

T'lana

Lieutenant Commander T'lana walked along the umbilical to the USS Rivendell along with Chief Engineer Morgan Freeman and his creation Larial.
After cycling the airlock and making their way off the umbilical and made their way to turbolift 15 and onto the Bridge.

T'lana moved to the main Science Console and logged in.

"Lieutenant Commander T'lana, Chief Engineer, reporting for duty as ordered Captain."

Morgan Freeman

"I think we can figure out something"  Morgan said smiling as he stepped out of the fighter.   Morgan stepped around to where the noticeable fuel port.  Turning to an engineering tech in the bay Morgan spoke "Get me a type C fuel transfer line and a type 4 container."
"Captain, I will do an analysis of the fuels with the substance that we found.  It may be a little different but I will know in about one hour."
A few minutes passed by before the tech returned handing the line and the container to Morgan who immediately attached one end of the hose to the container.  It took him a moment to open the fighter fuel door he opened it and stuck in the hose.  Once it was securely placed he pumped a small amount of fuel into the container.
"Now all I have to do is take this back to an engineering lab and analyze the makeup of the fuel.  Captain if you need me I will be in engineering lab 2"   Morgan took the container and walked out of the shuttle bay heading towards the lab.

Givrillian Sarpedon

Givrillian stepped onto the Bridge, and reported straight to Taurik before taking his seat at helm.

"Petty Officer Sarpedon, reporting as ordered."

Larial

Larial nodded, "As you wish father, but to do so I will have to interface with the ships sensors, do I have permission to do so?"

Chaya Sar

Chaya Sar yawned and then felt a little subconscious that she did so. Sliding off the Viper, Chaya nodded to Taurik and chased after Morgan.

"Mind if I watch?"

T'lana

T'lana was watching the Shuttle Bay on her monitor as the alien craft was tractored in. The vessel's Landing Skids lowered automatically, 2 meters off the deck of the Shuttle Bay. T'lana zoomed in on the craft's Cockpit Canopy, to see a helmeted person inside.
Although it was difficult to see what the pilot looked like, it was obvious that the being was in some form of suspended animation.
The landing assistance tractor beam generator, brought the craft in for a soft landing, just as it's Landing Skids were fully locked down.

T'lana could clearly see the markings on the craft, which after a search, are unknown to the Federation.

T'lana

"Thank You." T'lana stated as Morgan gave her her drink.

Taking a sip, T'lana eased back into the chair, holding onto the handle of her mug.

"Chocolate does cause my species to become intoxicated, but drinking chocolate that is in hot chocolate drinks, only acts as a slight intoxicant. But has no effect on me, for some reason, perhaps due to the nanites that are in my body."

T'lana continued, after sipping more of her beverage.

"It is illogical to make assumptions as to why the Captain called us all here, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would have to say that it must be due to the Heraani, or their allies."

Morgan Freeman

Morgan takes his seat back from Larial and monitors the collapse of the warp field "The field is dispersed T'lana and we are good on the drive."  Turning his chair around he speaks to the Captain "I agree with T'lana captain, we shouldn't make any changes until we see the drives effect on the crew."
