The Dominion War

[Voyager]

"Just pull us behind the moon so we are out of sight from anyone on Earth and try to keep us there," Dolan said after thinking about it for a moment.

"So do we know who the people are?  Let's hope they aren't the Dominion.  And have we gotten any information on Starfleet, any messages, schematics, plans, anything information we can grab?"  Dolan asked rapidly.

[Voyager]

OOC: Thanks.

IC:

"Could we send out a microprobe instead?" Dolan suggested.  "It would decrease the chance of us being spotted and we could still get a scan of the colony."

Dolan realized that the ship had to leave soon and follow the fleeing convoys and wanted to get as much information as he could before leaving.

"How much infomation do we have from Starfleet Headquarters?"  Dolan asked.

[Voyager]

"Bridge to Engineering, I want someone to program a mircoprobe to scan the Lunar Colonies," said Dolan, before turning to Takio, "The object is either going to be a ship leaving Jupiter Station to help with the evacuations or Jupiter Station itself.  The sensors aren't performing at their best, they were hastily fixed after the battle.  However, scan the object to double check.  And begin transporting the people from the station as soon as we are within transporter range."

[Holographic Officer Beta]

((Hope you don't mind me just jumping in here. My character's a hologram who's just transfered himself off the Rivendell into the wrong Holosuite))

Beta materialised right behind Alex Takio, and realising that he is not in the empty, unused holosuite on the Rivendell he was supposed to be, became quite shocked.

"Wha..? Where am I?

[Voyager]

"This couldn't be happening at a worse time!" Dolan exclaimed, "Go to the highest warp that we can manage to the coordinates.  We don't have the power to fight off several ships equipped with Breen weaponary.  Message the bioship, tell them our speed and get them to match it.  I don't want to sacrifice the bioship so we can survive."

"Dolan to Engineering, your highest priority at the moment is the repairing of the warp drive," said Dolan over the comm, "Also give me all the power you can to the warp drive."

Dolan then turned to Beta and said, "Just in case we can't out run them, see how much power we can have transferred to the shields and weapons, after cutting off all non-vital ship systems."

[Voyager]

Dolan was startled at the news.  "How could the Breen be catching up?" Dolan asked no one in particular.  Then Dolan remembered a maneuver he had learned back at Starfleet Academy.

"According to the scans, there is metreon gas in the nebula.  Head in, collect some with the Bussard Ramscoops, and then continue our course to the coordinates.  I want to have as much time as possible to make the prototype phaser bank but ready for the attack," said Dolan.

After a moment, Dolan continued, "Beta, we'll have to improvise.  We'll go to cargo bay 2.  We can make the controls and the power source and then bring it to a phaser bank so we can hook everything up and then disconnect it from the power grid.  We can make a phaser bank more adapted to the power source and controls when we aren't under about to be attacked."

Dolan then pulled out another PADD with the exact same specifications for the new phaser bank as the one he gave Beta and said, "I have a couple copies with me at all times and a couple in my quarters also.  Ensign Takio, you have the bridge until we return.  Remember my orders.  Notify me once you get the gas and are continuing course."

Dolan then stood up and led the way to the cargo bay.

[Voyager]

"What the--" Dolan said.  Everything on the holodeck disappeared and Beta was gone too.  The room became extremely dark and the only light came from the slightly red glow of the emergency power.  Dolan realized that the holosuite's matter conversion subsystem and eventually the holosuite's power must have shut down but didn't know how how or why it did.  Beta would have been shut down once the power was offline since he didn't have a mobile emitter with him.  Dolan decided it would be best if everyone else still in the holosuite return to their quarters, since they were all off duty at the moment.

"Alex, Quinn, I think we should get out of here," Dolan suggested as he went to the door.  After struggling to open it using the override, he went and got out the magnets to pull it open.  After a few more minutes of struggling, he got the doors open.  He called out to Alex and the other people still there, "We'll start the program up again once the power comes back online.  For now, I think we should go to our quarters," before turning and leaving the holosuite, heading to his quarters.  He picked up the PADD that Beta dropped once he disappeared before leaving, going through the now dimly lit corridors to his room.

[Voyager]

"We'll go at warp 9.1 until we are sure they are not pursuing or won't catch up for some time.  If it takes more than four and a half hours, we'll have to prepare to defend ourselves," Dolan decided.  He wanted to survive with this ship intact or at least with only moderate damage.

[Quinn]

OOC: Don't mind if I jump in here, do you?

A tone rang out at the tactical station on the bridge, Quinn quickly looked through the sensor readings from the last scan.
"Captain, sensors are detecting a scout vessel aproxemently two thousand kilometers off our left bow. Warp signature reads Cardassisan, sir." Quinn reported quickly, frowning as he read the readings.

"Our weapons array is still being repaired, but it's funcational at a 72% producivity, shields are at 85%"

[Voyager]

"Here, I have the consoles fixed.  I'll try my luck with the comm system.  Why don't you go see if there are any other broken systems," Dolan said.

After about 15 minutes, a shout came from Dolan.  "Yes!" he cried as he managed to fix the comm system, "Captain to Bridge, what is our status?"

The helmsman that Dolan had left in charge replied, "We had the comm system down, but it seem that you fixed that.  We luckily haven't lost navigation and we will be within communications range with Earth in about 35 minutes.  There are some other, minor issues, but they can be fixed soon."

Dolan muttered to himself, "Good, good."  Then he turned to Quinn and asked, "So how what do we need to finish fixing?"

[Quinn]

"Aye Captain," Quinn said as he walked to the front of the bridge.

"Maintain Yellow Alert, tell me when we are within ten minutes of communication range,"

[Alex Takio]

Takio listens to the sounds around him on the bridge while keep an eye on his console ready to warp away from the current heading at any moment

"Captain should I move into orbit around the Earth or hide near the Moon?"

[Alex Takio]

Takio checks on the status of the microprobes, discovers that theres plenty in stock

"I can sent out a probe as soon as we get behind the moon. How long should I send the probe out for? We wantn't be geting a live feed from it since we want to remain hidden, so I'll have too program it for a timed outing."

Looks at the science officer for any more needed info.

[Alex Takio]

"The object appears to be slowing moving towards us. 1 minute to transporter range."

Takio wordks on his console for a serval seconds

"From what I'm getting with the sensors the object appears to be a starship but not a Federation starship.  It's moving at quarter impulse."

Takio frowns as he notices another bit of trouble

"Transporter time range has just increased to 3 minutes, there appears to be something partly blocking our transporter, maybe space particles of some kind."

[Holographic Officer Beta]

"Sir, I predict that if we run at that speed for five hours, it would take an enormous toll on the ship, and it would take longer to restore weapons and shields. I suggest a maximum of four and a half hours."
