[Voyager]

"Bring everyone aboard.  We'll decide who will go on to the bioship later," announced Dolan, "As soon as we are done with the transporting, notify the bioship.  We'll give them the coordinates that we think the fleet is headed to and have them match our warp speed."

Dolan wondered for a moment how Species 8472 had an organic warp drive but pushed that thought aside for later.  He had to rescue as many people as circumstances allowed and get everyone to the fleet.  It seemed like the fleet will need all the help it can get.

[Holographic Officer Beta]

Checking the systems and running various commands on his console, Beta looked up.

"Sir, I can increase weapons and shields to 110% their current capacity. I don't know what you have put the ship through, but that is still not the full operating capacity, so I'm guessing you have some damage. I can alternatively keep the weapons systems at their current capacity, and raise the shields to 120% their current power, which would bring us close to normal operating power." he reported

[Alex Takio]

Takio listens to the captain talk about his new phaser bank whilest keeping an eye on his console.

"Breen ships are following us, infact they show signs of catching up"

Fingers move very fast over the panel

"captain there's a nubular gas field just off course but we could use it"

Beta: As he followed Dolan to the Cargo bay, he looked over the designs. They had a lot of detail in them and he was impressed. He couldn't see any problems, so any that there were would come up in testing. As they started working on the thing, however, the power was cut, and Beta dissappeared.

Using his subroutines, he manages to gain access to the Communication system in the station, but in the 5 minutes before the backup power cut out also, all he could say to the crew was; "Holographic Officer Beta, in need of Mobile Emit--"

After that, he was trapped in cyberspace

OOC: No way, I most certainly don't mind.

IC:
Dolan heaved a sigh of worry and fear.  He realized that with Cardassian ships heading into Federation space that there must be fewer ships left than he had hoped.  The Federation had little hope for survival and will have to sign a peace treaty.

"Can we take out it's engines and subspace communications array?  That will delay them relaying our position at least.  Don't do that yet however, just prepare in case they do so.  Hail them."

"They aren't responding," replied the helmsman.

"We have to get back to Earth as soon as possible to report the situation and to tell them what happened at Cardassia.  Our mission is of highest priority.  Ensign Quinn, prepare to fire on their engines, subspace communications array and, if you still have enough power, their weapons array."

[Quinn]

"Yes captain," Quinn said as he headed for the communitcation consoles on the other side of the room.

He worked quickly but he didn't have any luck on fixing the communications array, "Captain, this isn't my field, I'm not able to repair our communications,"

[Voyager]

"Alright, then," replied Dolan.  Dolan and Quinn then headed back to the the bridge via Jefferies tube, not wanting to risk being stuck in the turbolift again.

Soon, they both arrived back on the bridge, where Dolan was surprised to see the new helmsman.

"So, how long until we are within communications range?" Dolan asked.

Takio checks his panel

"Four minutes away from communications range to Earth sir"

[Alex Takio]

"Right sir, moon it is!"

Takio fingers move over the console for a minute

"Course has been changed for the moon. We'll be coming in from behind the moon so hopefully we'll see them before they see us."

[Voyager]

OOC: I would suggest not asking the science officer for anything, he/she is a character someone else could fill but I'm just using him/her to advance the plot and to give myself someone to talk to while I'm waiting for you or Quinn to respond.

IC:

"Ensign, I suggest sending it out for 10 seconds and then see if we can call it back after it takes several scans of the colony and transmits it back," said Dolan, "I'm not exactly willing to stay around for the next solar eclipse, so can we move a little faster?  I think we should catch up with the fleet as soon as possible.  Ensign Takio, after you send out the microprobe and attempt to retrieve it, could you try and figure out who is on Earth?  As soon as we figure out who they are and what their intentions are, we will leave, unless they can help us."

[Alex Takio]

"We can begin transporting at any time captain"

Takio is releaved that the ship was not dominion as he is not sure on weather they would had be able to fight it off.  Takio checks his console some more.

"It will take sevral minutes to get everyone beamed up"

Takio brings the ship along side the 8472 ship keeping them apart by about twenty-five thround kilometers.

[Voyager]

Dolan replies, "Notify me when it is complete.  When it is done, send a message to the bioship and set a course to the coordinates of the fleet."

He then turns to the hologram, who had still not answered Dolan's questions or really said anything at all.  The hologram looked extremely baffled.

Dolan sat down in the Captain's seat and asked Takio, "What happened?"

Dolan hoped that they didn't encounter some sort of anomaly.  He wanted to get the passengers to the fleet as soon as possible.  The ship wasn't designed to hold more than the crew and sometimes their families.

[Voyager]

OOC:  Since no one else said anything, I'll continue...

IC:

"So can we outrun them?" Dolan asked, "Or at least give ourselves enough time to evaluate the situation better and find a better field of battle?"  Dolan wanted to have some advantage if he was forced into the battle and he didn't want to be forced to rely on the bioship for all of their defensive needs.  Dolan then asked, "So how long before we can reach the coordinates?  We might be dropping back and forth between maximum warp and maximum cruising speed, but I want to know how fast we can reach the fleet with us heading to them as fast as we can, doing whatever we can without violating Federation ideals and laws."

[Alex Takio]

Takio was just starting to enjoy this holo mission. Hums as he walks to the holodeck doors as he works out what he'll do for next time.

"I'm going to the bar."
