*Kawolsky and Scotty re-enter, after a successful test in Engineering*

"Yes, sir"

*Hawk leaves for the XO's Office*

*Eyes squint*
"I thought the point of bypassing the academy route would be to not have an instructional period? If I am going to be tested before I get into straight up field work I would rather have an officers rank if I have to do it"

[Kawolsky]

"Would you like to continue? I would be happy to do so."

[Kawolsky]

"I see. I am sure that your father would be proud of you following in his footsteps. Now, I would like to find out how much you know about Starfleet ships. Give me one Tactical advantage of the Galaxy class Starship."

[scotty]

" yes sir "
* he flips the computer around, he looks through his personal correspondence, no new messages  "they must have forgot about me " he chuckled to himself, he then checks his learning schedule, he then turns off the computer and awaits the lieutenants returns *

[scotty]

" its an intresting suggestion sir, i would like to learn all that i can, would it not be possible to learn at the DSA and learn here as well "

[scotty]

* he takes the cup, he takes a sip *

" thank you, this stuff helps me concentrate, now im really ready to go sir " * he chuckles *

[scotty]

" yes sir, i think by routing the transporter controls direclty into the comm system, it can determine who is on duty, and transport them to the sight, while instantly sending a message to the other security forces to report to that area, what do u think "

[Kawolsky]

"Indeed it would. Now onto special circumstances combat. Here is a scenario for you: You and a team of starfleet personnel have boarded a Borg ship in an attempt to find a piece of technology (i.e a transwarp coil) to aid in the Federation's fight against the Borg. Things start to go wrong several minutes into the mission, and when you attempt to remove the component, several Borg drones become active. You manage to repel them but the Borg have erected a damening field and you cannot beam out until your starship's tactical officer can penetrate the field. This will take several minutes. While you wait you defend yourself by firing at the Borg drones but they soon adapt. What do you do?"

[Kawolsky]

"Good. In that case, go and see my XO. His office is down the corridor and to the left. Dismissed."

[Kawolsky]

"I don't like your tone Crewman. I am your Commanding Officer and I would like to find out what you already know about Starfleet Security. If you are going to be under my command, I need to know what you know, so I know which areas you would be best in and what tasks you would be best suited to. The quiz should be fairly easy, and yes, there will be no testing after this. If you wish to become an officer, I can arrange it so that you can become a Provisional Ensign here and learn while you work, however, if you still want to continue down the enlisted route, after this quiz, I have a job for you. And may I add, that if you do complete the quiz, and perform adequately, I might even consider promoting you. Now, what will it be?"


*OOC: Sorry to be harsh but thats my character. If you want to carry on as enlisted this is the only quiz that you will have to do.If you want to apply for officer training, you can either do it at the Academy, or field training, with me, as an acting Ensign. As an officer you could eventually fill my Sec. XO position. You can't fill this position as an NCO but it will take longer to become an officer. Your choice.*

[scotty]

* scotty could'nt believe it, *

" thank you sir, shall we be continuing today? im more eger than ever sir "

[scotty]

" the galaxy class has wide phaser arcs, leaving no significant blind spots, this coupled with the burst torpedo launchers gives it great offensive capability

[Kawolsky]

"Please excuse me cadet. I will be back in a minute. We will continue your training then. In the mean time, feel free to use my computer. Just don't access any retricted information. I will know."
