How we came to be, what we are now...
August, 2001
David Dom and Jean-Claude Pretre are invited to join a forum-based RPG called "Delta Fleet", owned by James Palfrey, still new and looking for new members at that time. David signs up as "Phoenix of Vulcan" and Jean-Claude as "Brendan Man Tuil", both assigned to the U.S.S. Renegade.
September, 2001
The character Brendan Man Tuil is given a flyer in the Delta Fleet RPG. He becomes more independent from the U.S.S. Renegade, and soon the story develops in Man Tuil having Klingon friends in a far outpost, and the Corporation is mentioned for the first time, yet no physical form is given to it.
October, 2001
Brendan Man Tuil introduces the Corporation some more into Delta Fleet by showing up with a Negh'Var ship called U.S.S. Scorpion. Delta Fleet RPG melts together with Starfleet Strike Force and the board moves to the SSF boards. The admirals of SSF are being introduced to this newly formed "Corporation idea" from Brendan Man Tuil but are not open to the new suggestions around this, and force Brendan Man Tuil to submit to their will. Brendan Man Tuil is offended and does not like it that his Corporation does not get any chance to expand within SSF. The idea is born to start a new RPG where the Corporation would be fully allowed next to Starfleet.
November, 2001
The idea is born to start a new RPG where the Corporation would be fully allowed next to Starfleet. Brendan Man Tuil creates a storyline where a newly created species called "Metatraxi" starts to attack stations and bases of the SSF. However, suddenly all forums of Delta Fleet are deleted and Delta Fleet with all its members rejected, for which reasons are unknown to us still. Delta Fleet RPG dies after this incident.
December, 2001
David Dom abandons his character "Phoenix of Vulcan" and creates, together with Jean-Claude Pretre, a new RPG, called "Star Trek Expansion". Jean-Claude Pretre keeps his character "Brendan Man Tuil" but will later make Dalen Winterspoon the main character of the Corporation. The website and board is located on a Free.Fr web server with the URL http://startrek.rpg.free.fr/. By the end of december, the first people start to sign up.
January 25, 2002
A new board is installed on another server for Star Trek Expansion, because the first board had faced a fatal crash with a loss of many posts. Expansion RPG starts using the Ikonboard V2.1.9beta software for all their boards. The website itself remains located on Free.Fr.
February/March, 2002
More people sign up and Expansion is gaining popularity. Besides Starfleet and the Corporation, a third section is added: the Romulan Fleet, maintained by Zach Schmidt (Trell).
April, 2002
Another section is added: the USC aka United Star Concordium. The USC however opens war with every other part of the RPG, storylines become incredible and everything results in fights between RPG members. Vorak and Winterspoon close the RPG.
April 23, 2002
Expansion RPG reopens, after having wiped out all posts and having reset the whole storyline to start over from the beginning. The USC is removed and Starfleet, Corporation and Romulan Fleet remain.
May 14, 2002
Some players of Expansion RPG are inspired by the success of Expansion and create their own forum-based Star Trek RPG, without the wish to work against Expansion. An RPG Council board is set up for RPG owners to interact and work closer together. This initiative will fail later on.
August 17, 2002
A fourth section is added to Expansion RPG: the Cardassian Union, maintained by Tomas Goransson (Rugal).
September 22, 2002
The Expansion RPG is redesigned in LCARS style and Expansion has its own "Topsites Top 100".
October 1, 2002
After another series of fights between players in the RPG, it is clear that something must be done to avoid another reset of the RPG. A Feedback/Suggestions forum is opened for all members to discuss freely their ideas and suggestions. This initiative proves succesfull and the idea is born to turn Expansion into something bigger and creating various divisions, similar to the style of Bravo Fleet and Tango Fleet.
October 13, 2002
A complete new design of the Expansion RPG site goes online, and the system of divisions is applied for the first time. Instead of one large board, the forums have been split up in several boards, one board for each division. The Cardassian Union becomes a division of the Starfleet section, and the Romulan Fleet becomes a division of the Corporation section, while Starfleet and the Corporation remain the two main sections of Expansion.
October 30, 2002
When the Expansion RPG website suddenly goes down on Free.Fr, Vorak and Dalen Winterspoon are forced to relocate the website. Vorak puts up a temporarily URL to access all the mission boards, since they were not located on Free.Fr and therefore didn't go down. The website moves for the first time to a real domain name and is renamed Expansionfleet.com.

August 22, 2003
The conflicts between Expansionfleet.com and Corporationfleet.com reach their climax, and the Expansion High Council decides to completely delink Corporationfleet.com permanently. The owner of Corporationfleet.com is no longer welcome at Expansion. A series of ridiculous conflicts finally ends.
