U.S.S. Rivendell / Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

As the Rivendell neared the vortex, T'lana noted massive amounts of zero-point energy emanating from it.

"Mr. Sarpedon, bring the vessel within 500 meters and then come to an all stop."

T'lana thought it necessary to further respond in kind and did so.

"I concur Captain, Starfleet away team protocol states that no civilian may command or attend a combat away mission. HK47 is definitely the most illogical and unstable machine I have met. The away team would have better success being commanded by a Romulan, than HK47."

T'lana went back to her scans of the spacetime anomalies.

OOC: Can we move this along a bit? This has to be the most tedious mission USS Rivendell has had and when did a planetary mission come into play? http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shocked.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':O'> http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

"Indeed."

T'lana moved to the Stasis Unit and initiated the wake-up cycle, after a few seconds, the lid opened with a hiss.

T'lana maneuvered her hand around to the back of the girls neck and touched a hidden switch where the neck meets the should.

The female android opened her blue eyes and smiled.

"Hello T'lana, who is your friend?"

The blonde woman climbed out of the Stasis Unit and straightened her uniform.

T'lana closed the lid on the Stasis Chamber and retracted it back into the bulkhead. Standing she began the introductions.

"Morgan, meet the avatar of the alien vessel."

T'lana walked around checking all the stations' readings and then back to her station.

"Captain, I am reading multiple rifts in the spacetime continuum, what I can not discern is the cause. If I would be inclined to make a best guess, I would have to say that someone or something is manipulating spacetime to such an effect that it is folding in on itself...if I was inclined to hazard a guess that is."

Sagittarii: "As do Mr.  Freeman, as do I. Leave now it is time for me to  leave, destroy this base and get back to Tarn-Vedra for debriefing and reassignment."

T'lana turned to Morgan.

"Take the Kelata Morgan and meet me in space. We will slip when the Phoenix Rising has left."

With that said, T'lana followed Rhiannon to the Slipfighter Bay.

After quick instructions and a Flexi with the manual and a decoder on how to read Vedran, T'lana being a quick study and speed reader, hopped in to the assigned Slipfighter which was fully equipped.

Powering up the Slipstream Drive, GFG and MPDD  respectively the gravity catapult launched the Slipfighter out of the "Phoenix Rising."

Reducing the speed to 25psl, T'lana left the confines of the Asteroid base, out into space and awaited Morgan to arrive in the Kelata.

T'lana moved back to the navigation console and programmed in a new flight path to take in the Battle Station (Deathstar http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ).

"Mr. Sarpedon, we are not on a sight seeing tour, the sensors shall gather telemetry as we go, commence attack and do not stop until all military installations and vessels have been decimated."

OOC: I love my Warp-Calculator, really comes in handy.

IC: Knowing her Captain quite well and being a Vulcan, T'lana new that the slow speed of a Star Fleet vessel would be frustrating Taurik.

"Captain, although it would take too long to reconfigure the USS Rivendell to use Slipspace, the Kelata already has a Slipspace Engine, I could scout ahead."

=A=Kelata to Away Team=A=

"Indeed, the sensors just picked them up, they were using scrambling equipement that the Kelata interpreted as background radiation. Get to the Fortress and join the Order of Gallifrey and Evolution away team as soon as possible."

=A=Kelata Out=A=

T'lana decloaked the Kelata and fired on the Heraani around the area.
Each Phased Plasma Pulse struck the ground, making the Heraani either explode or thrown up into the air by the force of the impact.

=A=Kelata to Away Team=A=

"You have an open escape route for now, getting so many Starfleet personnel off the ground is going to be a problem. Perhaps the Order of Gallifrey might know of a way."

OOC: That would be good if the Science Officer was actually on the Rivendell. http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

T'lana placed the flowers in a vase on a side table and gave Morgan a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, would you like to eat now?" T'lana asked softly.

Rhiannon: "Actually T'lana, that would really be up to my Captain, although I said I would serve you. I must obey the wishes of  my  Captain, I should have told you, but she is in Suspended Animation on board the 'Phoenix Rising'"

"I see." T'lana stated, "Then can we ask her?"

Rhiannon: "Certainly, she is jacked into the Virtual Reality Matrix."

"Interesting." stated T'lana.

The Navigation station *beeped* at T'lana and she took a look at contact screen to see why.

"Captain, we have reached our destination and the Radiant Thunder is automatically exiting slipstream."

As she said that the Quantum Slipstream Drive reduced power to 50%, automatically "dumping" the Gallifreyan Battle Cruiser out of the Quantum Slipstream.

With a gravimetric distortion, followed by the Radiant Thunder slightly shuddering, despite the advanced Inertial dampers, emerged from the blue-shifted vortex back into true-space.

T'lana activated the Holographic Overlay so they could see effectively where they were. The real-time display showed an orange-red planet with two weapon satellites in geostationary orbit, along with three capital ships. Obviously they weren't going down without a fight.

"Captain, the Weapon's platforms are powering up weapons, each have multiple disruptor banks and some form of quantum torpedo launchers."

T'lana answered Sagittarii as best she could,

"A galactic or extragalactic government, seems logical to me."
