Indeed, Mr. Lagos, we have faced more than one ship. But it was logical to let the computer simulate a rendom number of them, since we do not know what we will encounter at the gate.

About the emotional responses of the holographic crew, I tried to reproduce as best as I could the usual human response under stressful situations.

The response of a vulcan crew would have been different, but simulating their personalities was essential to help Mr. Brooks, as youhumas say, "get into" the simulation. And for me it was important to simulate all the types of possible distractions.

Oh, and rest assured. I will not "blow up" your engines, Mr. Lagos. It was just the logical response to that threat.

*Before Keilah could finish his sentence one of the consoles began to beep*

OFF: as of tomorrow, I will gradually start to post less because I'll be busy preparing my holiday on which I depart at the 14th (next week). So during the next coming days, I suggest that the Evolution should get under attack again, I get hurt and get unconscious for two weeks.

"Well, I don't feel like helping the Loxians, they are too aggressive to my opinion, and we are here after all on a peaceful investigation around Species 8472. The Prime Directive also tells us we should stay out of such situations, but then again... we don't know why they want the Loxians to surrender. Who was the aggressor in the first place? Mr. Lagos, can you tap into their communications and translate their conversations? Then perhaps we can find out what goes on."

"Sir, I  was taking a closer look at the readings mr. Dalon took with the nav sensors. It seems that the subspace distortion I mentioned is present. This might indicate that weapons were fired recently."

"Good! Shields up! Be ready to charge weapon systems as soon as the Loxians do! What's the tactical status of the Loxian ship?"

*Turns to the Captain, waiting for his order*

If I may say so Captain, if we help the loxians we risk open war with species 8472 for interfering. But we cannot just sit and watch the loxians being destroyed, but it is your call, sir.

Yes, Commander, I do have a question. Who has command right now while Captain Sanchez is conferring with the Admiralty on Avalon?

Possibly we stopped this mission, well know from the Captain as soon as he gets off station Avalon.
