Doctor, I share your concern for the ship's safety, but the anomaly isn't the only reason we're out here. Our primary mission is to make contact with the Loxian exiles. Since we cannot turn back, do you know of any other precautions we can take?

*The energy clouds keeps hunting the many Loxian ships. Each time, they catch one, and soon thereafter another Loxian ship explodes.*

*The massive cloud hits some more ships, and the lines of Loxian ships begin to scatter. The ships desperately fire all their weapons onto the cloud, but nothing seems to stop it, and if anything, it hastens their own death. Loxian ships begin to flee in all directions as fast as they can, and everywhere other Loxian ships explode. What was an entire battle fleet only moments ago, is now a scattered remainder of a few ships trying to make their escape in pure horror.*

Skon watches Sanchez and keilah materialize. He raises an eyebrown, and -- almost -- smiles.

Gentlemen, it is good to see you. Yes, Doctor, as you can see, the Skytoucher has certainly been shirking her duty. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Skon motions Captain Sanchez aside and lowers his voice.

As for what happened, sir, we have very good reason to believe that there is a Loxian spy on board. When the Loxians fired on us, their weapons cut right through our shields and damaged all key systems. Our shields went down and they immediately began beaming Loxian refuges off the Skytoucher. It seems odd that they knew the exact time to initiate beaming.

Skon vaguely nods in Vakin's direction

It is also telling that Mr. Vakin had access to certain bridge systems at the time...

*Vakin tries to make his escape, but wherever he goes, forcefields hold him back.*

*He furiously kicks some forcefield, but is being pushed back.*

The Skytoucher shakes. On the bridge, several panels blow and begin to emit sparks. Slowly...one by one...various stations lose power. The lights dim. Skon looks around at the bridge crew.

Damage report, we need to know how seriously we have been hit. I shall attempt to contact Captain Sanchez.

Skon touches a panel on the captain's chair.

=A= Skytoucher to Evolution =A=

The panel emits a squeak and then goes silent. Skon looks down at the blown panel and then tries to access communications from another terminal. Nothing works.

One thing is certain, we have lost communications with the Evolution.
