"Wrong answer, you have no ship.  You were beamed down and you have no ship to escape.  Which would defeat the purpose of an LZ, try again."

Mark nodded at this, it made sense.
"Well, Captain.. One thing most wouldn't know is that I make sure I make the best decisions I can think of before I move on the last resort, and sometimes my best isn't the best most can think of."

"Very good, close enough.  Now tell me what is the marines standard equipment for all there missions.  What are there ranks and what they stand for.  Then tell me what is the most commonly used attack patterns for starship's to date." He said knowing that it was a hard question and he wouldnt beable to answer it all.

"Very good, also keep in mind that marine tactics switch, they are never the same.  Each of there tactics are usually thought of well in advance or on the fly depending on there situations.  But you are right, marines are charged to protect the innocents even at the cost of there own liver, which usually happens at times.  But you must also remember that both Marine and Starfleet are both bound by law set down by the HC, and they both must follow the prime directive."

"Tell me under what circumstances would a Marine or Starfleet EVER! disobey the prime directive ? and in WHAT! does the prime directive mean ?.  Tell me also in what instances can the prime directive be bent or broken because there is no choice but to break it?" Simon asked knowing that he was giving the cadet far more advanced questions then he was ready for.

"Sir," said Manach, "I fired on Cadet Ardeth when ordered.  His robots retaliated.  They fired upon myself and at you and at Cadet Dotson.  I returned the fire.  I am not attempting to be racist in any way.  I merely defended myself.

As for Data, I recall that he was composed of 24.6 kilograms of tripolymer composites, 11.8 kilograms of molybdenum-cobalt alloys and 1.3 kilograms of bioplast sheeting. Data's upper spinal support was a polyalloy designed for extreme stress; his skull was composed of cortenide and duranium. Data was built with an ultimate storage capacity of 800 quadrillion bits. At the onset, Data was constructed with a total linear computational speed rated at 60 trillion operations per second. However, through bidirectional sequencing and conversion of his main interlink sequencer to asynchronous operation, Data's computational speed was thereafter no longer limited by the physical separation of his postronic links and, thus, became unlimited.

I am also aware that Data was considered to be sentient.  However, had Data or anyone else fired upon me or a fellow starfleet officer, you may be assured that I would have returned their fire.  I was not aware that returning the hostile fire of either droids or organic lifeforms was inconsistent with Starfleet regulations, sir."

Manach, Yes there isnt supposed to be CD roms and such, But Go with it and dont get all upset because Ardeth isnt sticking to Startrek, I am finding his antics quite humerous http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.

Alright, Quit it.  Hal, Get your sisters to the docking bay, Ardeth, dotson, Manach, Kawolsky, Your with me.  Lets get to the armory and get weapons and you guys suited up.  I think, your going to get another hands on experience.  So I hope you dont mind for fast deployment.  This is part of the training that isnt in the Text books.  So go get geared up for heavy combat, I think we will be in it again.  Ardeth, when we get to Dantor, which is where we are going.  I think it may be best if Sabrina, Sally, Hal, and the Wer'wolf, get there weapons ready because they will need it.

I will inform Ops of this.  Meet me in the Shuttle bay when your redy, and we will leave.

"Did he? Not the best of starts. I do not know where he was given the rank of provisional ensign, I considered him a cadet at meeting. I had hoped to perhaps have him for the second half of the course. If it is permitted to take him under my wing for his entire course time, the more the better, but I am thankfull at any pre-postion time, to have the transition from graduation to postion a very good one"

Manser

"Um.. Don't get killed?" He replied, half joking and half serious.
Update Later

Balkazar

*hears Kawolsky's message and rubs his chin for a minute*

"No, you shoot the admiral or captian first, then shoot the bad guy, the Admiral usually would understand why you shot him in the first place."

"Hal, you fix the wall now, you cut threw it, you fix it.  Ardeth, you have the room.  I need to speak with someone on Ops really fast."

*With that Balkazar leaves the room and heads for Ops*
