Uss Unity and Uss Excalibur Joint Mission

That sounds like a good idea. I am ready now, the Excalibur is with nothing to do untill we get started. So the thing to decide now is what to start out with.

I am really disappointed. They were all doing so well and now they abandoned their comrades. I have sent several PMs and E-mails but no response. I have not lost all faith in them and I check everyday in hopes they have returned. I posted a warning on the ships board that if they did not return within the week they all will be demoted and reassigned. That sounds good. The Unity coming into the mission seems to have no knowledge, The communication between Nova and Alpha-Intel is lacking, and it seems to be effecting the mission.

Tom, I will get your insights on the mission and then I will add mine.

I did read now the Van'Gu Clusters info in the Database. The great point of the mission is right there: Sending the 2 ships to find and investigate/research the little known planet Neyo Prime. We could include some storyline in it, and add its newly found info (after several things happening with the 2 ships) in the Database on the Cluster. I am sending the Excalibur now to the Clusters edge to await your ship.

ok, then I am going to go ahead and send orders to the Excalibur (now waiting on the edge of the Cluster) to enter the Cluster itself. I created a character to interact with them when they get to investigating Neyo Prime, the Unity can come in when it is able. I just can't tell the Excalibur crew (which isn't highly crewed, but all signed up there are active) to wait anymore for a mission. I'm sure you can fit the Unity being late into the storyline, it may even work out to the Unity (or any Alpha ship that comes if you Decom. it) coming right as the Excalibur faces near destruction/havoc...I don't plan on the 'creatures' of Neyo Prime to be welcoming.  http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/android.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':android:'>

i've changed things as Neyot, the mission will have ended far to quickly if things continued. I believe the original plan was to have Neyot die. But i think keeping him alive, but banishment from Neyo is best, for future mission arcs. Also, i think that Na'Ru and the starfleet officer will have to go before the council of leaders and present their case along with Neyot. When Neyot loses he attacks the government and is defeated by the Unity and Excalibur along with Na'Ru's aid. But Neyot is banished with those loyal with him. They leave with their own battle ships. Allowing it to be possible for him to start his own colony. For future discovery. And his hatred for Starfleet will burn forever.....brilliant.

First of all, how soon can we get it started? I need the Excalibur on an active mission ASAP after its long delay with the Romulan Coalition. I am highly disapointed that it never came to DS20 as was said. The Excaliburs crew has recently reported fully active, but bored to tears. So there is no worry on our part that a joint mission between Nova and Alpha would be delayed because of lack of crew activity.
I think we should send the ships to the pre-determined location and go from there. Making an 'Event Horizon' or control like character to give them objectives, things interesting but somewhat classical with star trek TV.
IDEAS:
-Something in the (Van'Gu Cluster I believe?) that infects the ships crew [or computer system if you want to go that far] and strands the two ships with a MAJOR problem

-An unknown species that lives in the cluster, on [or in..] a planet never charted or recorded.

- I originally made the suggestion that one of our divisions ships ALREADY have BEEN in there but had a problem [not stated] and the other divisions ship came to a distress call. The details of what happened would have to be worked out if this scenario was chosen.

The Unity we bee there thursday. There was a slight deleay in the current mission but it has been bypassed and tit is finishing. The Excalibur can go ahead and start scans from outside the cluster until my ship arrives. Before your ship leaves the station I am sending a shipment of highly modified marker beacons tp mark certaint things. I will have Captain Jeroen Bode brief Captain Moraity on the specs of the beacon.

Good, I'm glad things came back for you with the Unity. I've contacted Captain Moriaty so the Excalibur will be kept informed of the missions main objective, so the Captain can do a part in steering it in the planned direction.

I like them all. So we will use them all. We should make this a 150 pager like in the avalon missions. There missions make any other divisions look like newbies. I have done my research in the database and I have read some pretty intresting anomolies and such. When you have the time could you please read just about everything under the Science section in the database. By doing that you can fully understand all of the possibilities a mission in the Van'gu cluster.

Is there going to be a delay in the Unitys arrival? The crew of the Excalibur have all been active with the coming of a new mission. After the long delay with the Coalition they're eager to get going.

I have very good news. The Unity crew is now ounce agin active and posting. Have the Excalibur move in and yes the my ship will be late. They are having a little trouble on the Romulan Station.

Indeed it is. I apologive for the lack of communication. My I have a small summery of the mission thus far so I can breif Captain Bode on the situation. My end of the board has been effected badly by what ever this is that is messing with the system. Post are not showing up and extra empty pages are being added. Bless Davids heart for sacrificing his time to solve this problem. Oh and by the way. Alpha Intel receantly Merged with the Fss to keep it alive. I know the Fss has been with Expansion for quit some time and I would hate for it to die out.
