John Carter's Quarters

[Kassie]

"I hope so too, lets hope hes not one of those grumpy, people."

[John Carter]

"Oh yes, I remember now. How are you? Nice to meet you miss Kassie."

*Offers her his hand*

"That's why you're here? Because you need an experienced engineer? Well, I used to be one, but I've been unemployed for about a year now, so I would first have to freshen up my knowledge again."

[Joe Braxton]

"Well, let's get to it, then, shall we?"

[John Carter]

*John Carter woke up at 7 in the morning. He stretched himself and got up. He took a shower in the bathroom, got dressed, and went for a walk around the station.*

[John Carter]

*Carter was just returning from his walk around the station, as he saw two people standing outside his quarters. One of them looked slightly familiar. He had bumped into him the day before. He walked towards the two.*

"Good morning, how may I help the two of you?"

[Kassie]

"Yeah what he said, Ummm, Yes down to business, ok short version <Shakes Carters hand>.  The short version is that we need to drill to the planets core of Dantor to get enough endless amount of power to power 3 different bases, 1 as a military base, another as a back up military base, and the 3rd as a primary underground evacuation base incase the station falls under attack that sorta thing, we alredy have the plans set up, however, our problem is that we dont know exactly HOW! to drill to the center of the planet to use the planets core as a power source for the 3 bases, but at the same time have the 3 bases with seperate power systems so theres no chain reaction of destruction if say an EMP missle is launched at one base and it fries that bases's circutry we then have the 2 other bases with power.  But the tricky thing to this drilling is that we dont want the planet to explode and to destroy all of us and around several other star systems in the process.  Heh, its a risky thing but its a neccessary risk to take."

"You can run the other way now if you wish, however, Eugene Archer and Admiral Julian has put me in charge of this project, so even tho im an ensign, youll be taking orders from me, this is my graduation project in short, sir."

[John Carter]

"Of course you would, ensign and cadet. Then I suggest you wll now arrange that, then I will now enter my quarters to do my research"

*Carter turned around and walked into his quarters.*

[Kassie]

*Kassie and Joe walk up to Carter's room and lil hesitant rings the door bell*

[Kassie]

"Oh, Hi, I thought........Oh well.  Yes, ummmmmm, *she stuttered on for the next 5 minutes*

[Kassie]

"Sooner is better then later, Sir.  Braxton and I were going to head to the planet to do some surveying with a security escort after notifying the marines we are coming down and would appreciate some marine company to help us survey and all that."

[Joe Braxton]

"Do you know how to fly one, then? Maybe you can teach me as well."

*Joe looked very excited about everything that was going on at the moment*

"Yes, let's meet there in, let's say, half an hour?"

[Joe Braxton]

*Joe was right behind Kassie when they walked to Carter's quarters. When they arrived, he went to stand next to her, to await Carter opening the door.*

"I hope he's here."

[Joe Braxton]

*Joe stepped forward, slightly surprised by Kassie's shy response*

"Hi, I'm Joe Braxton, and this is Ensign Kassie. I met you yesterday. I'm an engineering cadet, and Kassie and I actually need some experienced engineers for some..... for something."

[John Carter]

"You call that short, ensign? Yeez, then I don't want to hear the long version. Anyway, it indeed is a complicated problem. But I would first of all have to do some research. If you can give me like until late this afternoon, I will be able to find out some things, do some background checks on the planet and dig into some old starfleet records."

[Kassie]

"Of course, he was an odd engineer, but I suppose some of the older engineers are odd." Kassie said AFTER Carter left.

"Ill prep go to my quarters and get some gear then we meet up in the hanger deck ?, I really wanna fly a shuttle." <Giggles>
