Hermes

"Thank you Mr Jarek. Would you please download the data into the Central Data Register. You can do this at the nearest console. This way I can acces the data and take immediate action."

*Hermes was silent for a moment*

"Mr Jarek, it seems that the little lifeform that was hiding behind your back has left this room. She obviously thinks she is playing some sort of game with me. Though I am not really present in the room, she touched that pillar right in front of you. Maybe there is something wrong with her sight. I can make an appointment with our stations doctor if you would insist."

Sarnae

A small shuttlecraft veers towards the station stopping clear of the shuttlebay. The pilot, a civilian named Jerek, turns his attention quickly towards the only other person in the shuttle, and smiles to the child fidgeting in the seat beside him.

"We're here now," he says simply. "These people will take care of you".

The child, a 10-year-old Klingon/Betazoid named Sarnae, lost her parents after their ship was badly attacked. Jerek was on his way back to HQ, with some merchandise for the Celtic Corner, when he saw the ship on his sensors. There was no sign of life other than Sarnae, and the attackers were long gone.

She smiled slightly at him before he looked back at his controls. He ran his fingers over them quickly to set up a comm link between the station and their shuttle. "This is the civilian Shuttlecraft Darian," he said "Requesting permission to dock. I would also like to report an attack on a cargo vessel. There was only one survivor, a child, and she is here with me now".

Sarnae

Jerek blinks slightly as he turns to look behind him and sees that Sarnae is gone.

"Oi," he said "I doubt it's too much to worry about, she seems to enjoy playing games with the heads of others. However," he continued as he downloaded the data, "it would probably be best if she recieved medical attention regardless."

"Permission granted, shuttlehanger 7 has available space for you. Thank you also for your report on the cargoship attack. Please notify us in more detail if you are able too."

Sarnae

"Aye aye, flight control," Jerek said before terminating the comm. His fingers ran over the controls once again as he initiated the docking procedure.

"Are we there yet?" Sarnae said, looking annoyed at him.

"Almost," he said with a laugh "I'll let you know when we are".

After a few minutes (and a few dozen "are we there yet"s), they were inside the station. "Come on Sarnae," he said "We are there NOW".

They stepped out of the shuttlecraft together, and on to the hanger, before walking out and into Operations.

"Ah, Mr Hermes," Jerek began "Thank you for granting us premission to dock. As you requested, here is all the information I have on the attack," he stated as he handed Hermes a PADD.

With an innocent smile, Sarnae stepped over to Hermes and poked him, "You're it," she grinned before running out the door.
