U.S.S. Evolution Mission 7: Responding to Skytoucher Distress Signal

*Doctor Keilah was sitting besides Captain Sanchez and Commander Brooks as they were all watching the large viewscreen which was almost completely filled with Loxian Starships. The image gave Keilah the creeps and he rembered the brutal incident that took place last year. It seemed that he had not forgotten the incident as much as he had wanted too. Suddenly the Skytoucher came on the viewscreen again and everyone could see how serious it had been beaten. The Loxians had been showing their brutal force again, that was for sure. Keilah turned his look to the Captain and could read the impression on his face which obviously said "it's payback-time".*

The ship shakes violently, knocking most of the bridge crew down.

"That one punctured the starboard nacelle! We're venting plasma! Commander, we need to shut down the warp drive completely or we will have a warp core breach in about... 45 seconds!"

Sir, I think the Loxians still have at least 20 ships that are in fighting condition. Plus, at least a squadron of fighters. Problem is, with all the interference in this part of space, it's tough to get an exact reading.

OFF: The exact number of ships has never been established. Just that there are "a lot" of them...

Evolution to Starphoenix...you are in grave danger...we encountered a species of energy beings -- the Na'jigat. As far as we can tell...they thrive on energy and cannot be defeated by conventional weapons. The more you shoot them, the more powerful they grow. They will suck your energy dry. We escaped only because another species, the Gallifreyans, drove them from our space, but we have been warned that the Na'jigat are headed your way. Good luck.

We'll adjust our comms and give you a signal when we're ready to begin broadcasting.

*Then he grabs his chair arms tightly.*
"Power up weapons, lock on target, maximum shields. All decks, red alert! I repeat, red alert!"
*On the viewscreen, the Loxian ship is regrouping to start a new attack.*

Jackson picks himself up off the floor. He has a nasty gash in his forehead and he wipes blood out of his eyes.

Shields down to 38% sir. And that shot shook us up enough to further weaken the hull on deck 6. All crewman in that area have been evacuated. I'm sealing the area off. That section of the hull is gonna go any minute.

[Loxians]

*Meanwhile, on the Loxian flagship...*
"Sir, our ships have regrouped! We're ready on your command, to make the final assault!"
"Good, good. Now shall be the time where we utterly destroy both those Starfleet ships! Close in to them, target weapons, and fire on my command!"
*The Loxian fleet closes in to both Starfleet vessels, their weapon systems running hot, and preparing to fire any moment...*

An enemy we can't detect? That can attack any time and can't be defeated with our technology? These Na'jigat sound worse than the Borg.
