U.S.S. Evolution Mission 7: Responding to Skytoucher Distress Signal

I have no intention of leaving, Mr Jackson. But I want to hang back until the ship is in a little better working order. Miss Lauren, I want you to gather repair teams and do what you can as soon as possible. We are in no condition to protect the Skytoucher, but if neccessary we'll die trying. Give us what you can.

[Loxians]

*Meanwhile, on the Loxian flagship...*
"Sir, weapons are loaded and ready! Targetted both starships, ready to destroy them! Firing within five... four... three...  What is that?"
"What? What is what?"
"Something's coming at us! FAST!"
"WHAT?"
"It's some sort of cloud, full of energy! I've never seen anything like it! It's moving straight at our fleet now! Oh no..."
*Suddenly, the flagship rocks back and forth heavily. Many panels explode, half the lights go out.*
"What is going on?"
"They're all over the ship, and the other ships too! It's draining our energy, and trying to get inside the ships!"
"Retreat! Retreat! NOW!"
*At that moment, the flagship explodes.*

[Event Horizon]

*The massive cloud keeps pursuing the Loxian ships. Some manage to escape, but most ships are caught and don't survive for long.*
"ENERGY! ENERGY! Want more energy! Na'jigat STRONG again! Na'jigat wants more! Na'jigat wants..."
*At that moment, some bright light seems to come from the Evolution, though it has nothing to do with the ship's systems or weapons itself, and seems to radiate naturally.  The bright light starts to concentrate and grow stronger, and move toward the Na'jigat cloud...*
"Na'jigat sense danger! DANGER!"
"No! Na'jigat must feed, Na'jigat strong enough to resist all danger!"
"SENSE DANGER! GALLIFREYANS HAVE COME!"
"Na'jigat strong enough to destroy Gallifreyans now!"
"NO! Gallifreyans attacking! Telephatic power! Gallifreyans hiding on Evolution!"
"IMPOSSIBLE! We know all, we sense all, we know when Gallifreyans come, and we sense nothing now!"
"GALLIFREYANS ARE SHIELDING THEMSELVES FROM OUR TELEPHATIC POWERS! THEY HIDE!"
"THEY ATTACK!"
"Must flee! Must flee now!"
*At that moment, the white flowing energy impacts with the massive cloud, and a huge flash of dark and light illuminates half the Dark Passage.*
"ENERGY DROWNED! GALLIFREYAN ASSAULT! FLEE! FLEE!"
*And instantly, the massive cloud abandons all the remaining Loxian ships, and makes its escape back into the quantum singularity network it came from. In a matter of seconds, it disappears in there, pursued by the bright light. The bright light doesn't enter the singularities, but slows down and fades away at the borders of the quantum singularity network...*

Sir, after what we've been through, I'd be happy as h*ll to see the inside of a bar. I haven't spent much time on Avalon. Is this Celtic Corner place any good?

Dr Keilah was working in sickbay, putting away the new supplies he got from Station Avalon minutes before they had to leave spacedock. At that moment he saw Captain Sanchez entering sickbay, Keilah assumed the captain would inform him about the new mission.

"Captain, good to see you http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>. What can I do for you?"

[Randall Sanchez]

*Shortly thereafter, Sanchez and Keilah arrive on the bridge. The red alert claxons were blazing in the background, the bridge was dim and everything had a red shine of the red alert lights flashing.*
"On screen."
*Sanchez walks up toward the viewscreen. It displayed the U.S.S. Skytoucher, apparently half powered down and clearly having suffered heavy damage. The ship is in orbit around station Vontak Nor, and surrounded by a large fleet of alien ships, of Loxian design. Sanchez straightens his uniform and a frown appears on his face as he turns to sit in his chair.*
"Ops, open hailing frequencies to the Skytoucher, let's hope someone's still alive on there to hear us."
Ops: "Channel open, sir."

This is captain Sanchez speaking. We received your distress call and come in answer. From what I can see myself, it seems the Loxians are giving you quite a beating. Please answer if you can hear me. Come in, Skytoucher.

[Loxians]

*The Loxian ships closed in to the Skytoucher and Evolution, keeping a closed formation as they moved. The flagship had suffered quite a bit of damage, but it was still strong enough to defend itself. Aboard the ship, the Loxian general looked at the viewscreen.*
"So this is what Starfleet calls 'reinforcement'? A tiny, weak ship? I had expected more of them... well, they've had their chance to surrender. They refused, so now we will destroy them. Are we ready?"
"Hang on, receiving an incoming secure signal now... Hmm..."
"What? What is it?"
"YES! Our spy did his job! We've received all command codes we need to get the Skytoucher dead in the water."
*The Loxian general smiles, as he looks at the Skytoucher on the viewscreen one last time.*
"Say your death rite prayers, Skytoucher, if you have any. Let the second fleet concentrate on the Evolution, to keep them busy for now. As for the Skytoucher... NOW!"
*At that moment, the Loxian flagship fired a concentrated beam on well-calculated places on the Skytoucher. Instantly, the Skytoucher is rocked around heavily, many explosions take place, and half the power supplies go down.*

[Randall Sanchez]

"They may be injured and in need of help!"
*At that moment, the ship shakes again as Loxian fire hits.*
"Ms. Lauren, target their forward-ventral hull plating and fire phasers!"
*Then he touches his combadge again.*
"Sanchez to Skytoucher, come in! Skytoucher, answer!"
*But still no answer comes through.*
"That's it! Dr. Keilah, follow me to the transporter room, we're beaming over there! Commander Brooks, you have the bridge, keep the ship in one piece!"
*Sanchez nods at Keilah and both step into the turbolift.*

OFF 2: is there still anyone else around besides me and Thomas Jackson? I have asked all stations for a damage report 3 days ago.

Jackson's fingers glide over the controls once again.

Warp core ejected.

The warp core bursts from the Evolution and arcs with tremendous speed toward the lead Loxian ship. The Loxians try to destroy it, but it hits their shields and explodes in a brilliant ball of fire. Briefly, the Loxian's shields become visible as they glow a bright orange. The Loxian ship shakes furiously.

[Event Horizon]

*As the Loxian ships close in to the Skytoucher and Evolution, their weapons running hot to fire any moment, a small blue tendril suddenly appears on the outer hull of the Skytoucher, so small that nobody notices it, or has the time to notice it. Quietly, it flies away through space, disappearing in the nearby Quantum Singularity Network.*
"Na'jigat needs energy! Found energy! Must be quick!"
"Na'jigat is sleeping... resting... recovering... too weak... Gallifreyans hurt us too much last time..."
"Much energy this time, can recover once again! Must go now! Scout says so!"
"Na'jigat cannot withstand another attack from Gallifreyans now..."
"No Gallifreyans, scout says! But ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY!!!"
*And slowly, a large, dark mass of energy begins to awaken deep within the Quantum Singularity Network, slowly starting to move... then increasing its speed until suddenly... it appears in the Dark Passage, nearby the battle between the Loxian ships and the Federation ships...*
"Much energy! Much energy!"
"Where to go first?"
"Reading minds of humanoids... Skytoucher and Evolution are weak and damaged... too little energy there... Vontak Nor low on energy..."
"THEN WHERE IS ENERGY?http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>"
"Loxian fleet! Many ships, much energy! Weapons running hot, more energy than hoped for! ATTACK!!!!!!!"
*Instantly, the huge massive cloud moves through the Dark Passage, utterly ignoring the Skytoucher, Evolution and Vontak Nor, and surrounding the Loxian ships in an instant. Next, the attack bumps against the hull and shakes the ships around, making its way inside to reach the energy sources...*

*Legudon and the other Gallifreyans continue their meditation session, sitting with closed eyes quietly on the bridge's floor, as if nothing in the world can harm them, or bother them. They keep humming, and the ship's walls and floor are starting to shake more intensively.*
"Narajagi.... Sovogula... Najigat sanjanaaaaaaaaaa!"
*Then suddenly, a white, blinding flash can be seen and is gone just as quickly, leaving everything to normal. But outside the ship, a huge concentration of telephatic energy begins to form...*
