Lindsay enters the bridge, seeing only 2 other officers. Deciding to report to the ranking officer, she walks up to Lt. Vurak.

"Hello, sir, I am Lt. Linsday DeFrance, the new Chief of Operations."

Sensors cannot penetrate the tachyon field, sir, though I am also picking up a warp field. Although I cannot tell the exact configuration, the shape of the warp field suggests a vessel of Klingon design.

Suddenly one of the panels on the bridge begins to beep, signaling an incoming transmission.

Ops officer: "Captain, I am receiving a priority transmission from Starfleet for you, urgent."

Sanchez: "Urgent from Starfleet? That's odd. Well, I'll soon find out. Put it through to my office, please."

Ops officer: "Aye, sir."

And Sanchez disappears in his office, alone.

Well, It is honor to make your acquitance Lt. Lindsey Defrance. I will report your presence to the Captain as soon as he returns. As a matter of fact, I will make the transmission to him right at this moment to make sure he knows of the new officers. He will be very pleased to hear of your arrival. Unfortunately, I must return to fixing this strange problem we are having with the Warp Engine. Please make yourself at home.
(as he gazes fixed at the computer screen)

Vurak: Computer, I need another diagnosis of the lower left hand level section of the Warp Engine.

Computer: Diagnosis commencing....................
