USS Skytoucher - Mission 2: The Van'Gu Cluster

The sensors are recalebrated. They are working at maximum now.

[Peter Svensson]

"I have no clue sir, I'm running a diagnostics right now!"

[Pax]

The Yzakian ship was travelling deeper into the Van'Gu cluster, carefully going its way toward their destination, not too fast so the USS Skytoucher would be able to follow.

Suddenly, the Yzakian ship shudders heavily. A cracking sound can be heard everywhere, panels explode, half the bridge is on fire and filling with smoke.  Alarm sirens are crying.

Prime Officer Pax: "What is that?  What happened to the ship?  Did we hit something?"
The officers all look stunned, not understanding what is going on. Immediately, they all push buttons on the panels that still work, to find out what is going on.  But when they find out what is going on, they look even more stunned...

[Peter Svensson]

"Sir, I'm not hiding anything! You can check my record at Starfleet Command and you'll find nothing wrong with it!  With all due respect, sir, but I acted in the best interests of the ship and I wish I could have prevented this alltogether but I didn't have time!"

[Tomas Goransson]

Yes I do! I want to tell you that I did not ordered that fire. And when I know who did it, he or she will be living shishkebab! If you not belive me, then it is your loss. But I tell you that I am not responsibile for this!

As a token of good will, I will send over two officers that will help you with your repairs. I don´t trust them, but that is another story. When your repair is done, I would love to follow you, with our weapons offline, to your homeworld.

"Yes I have talked with the Yzakians, and they have consented."

Pax tries to get back on his feet.

"Please, people... I beg you... do not take the validum from us... don't destroy it, or take it away... our planet will end in chaos and destruction, you're taking away our last chance of survival..."

On the Yzakian ship, Svensson touches some buttons.

"We're well out of reach from the USS Skytoucher now, their scanners won't be able to penetrate this deep in the Van'Gu cluster to find our direct position.  And since their engines are down, it'll take them awhile before they can start looking for us.  And the Dragon is a fast ship, It'll be here soon, I hope."

[Kyzox]

I would not mind to dwell among your people and on your ship and station for some days at all, captain. Perhaps your species would be interested to open negotiations about Universal Peace? After all, since your presence in this sector is fairly well established, and therefore important, it would not be fair to leave you out."
