Dalon

Aye sir. Preparing graviton pulse.

*starts making calculations and the pauses and looks at Lagos*

Sir, I must say that there will be a risk for the ship that is going into the gate. If the energy configuration is not precise the ship may be destroyed instantly. Also, there is a very small possibility that the closing of the gate will cerate a subspace shockwave that might alter the Cochrane coefficient of this region and interfere with our warp capability, even rendering warp travel impossible in this area of space.

Thus, there might be implications for the development of the species that live in this system that should be considered, sir.

"Sir, the captain is in good condition for now...he will need rest and will not be able to perform duties for several weeks. He had multiple fractures and a concussion. I have a report on casualties that I will send to you at then end of the day..."

*Suddenly the link to Sickbay was broken and no communication was possible*

*sees Lt Marou entering sickbay*
Well lieutenant, how are you today?

*grabs a medical tricorder*

Let me see.....
Well according to these scans you are perfectly allright...the last traces of the Loxian virus have dissapeared from your system.

If you would lay on this bio bed, I want to perform a complete bioscan. Then we have an update for your medical profile http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

*Nalia whipped the sweat of her forehead as it ran into her eyes she finished reading the medical log, it had been longer then she had expected. Feeling her stomach growl she turned to Keilah.

"I think the nurses can handle the sick bay for a while, want to go grab a bite in Ten forward?"

I'll be giving him a complete check-up before anything happens.  Although im sure he is in perfect health, you never know what he may hold after being here for so long.

Elspeth Davidson

"Captain, we've reached Neelix's coordinates," reported Lt. Davidson.

(OOC: sorry about that)

*looks at the Lt Commander*
Ehm...well I have no assistant..infact I am the assistant of Commander Chemia. She came aboard just before this mission started.

As for now I can only say that she is a very good medical officer as I have seen in this couple of days.

The Medical Departement is also running well under her command, no arguments there http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Dalon

I agree Lt. Lagos. In fact, as we come closer to the system, I am detecting some very peculiar subspace structures. Perhaps the separation between ous space and theirs is thinner there.

*turns to Sanchez*

Captain, we are now 5 minutes from the system. No ships detected so far, though the activity of the gate is increasing exponentially.

Dalon

Captain, with all due respect, though we are at a somewhat safe distance from the fluidic gate, it is logical to assume that the ship will be safer if we go to yellow alert.

Also, since the ships of species 8472 are made completely of organic material, their sensors may be a bit slower than ours. This way, if we use the Picard manouver we could get them confuse for a time long enough for us to strike at some vital point.

Also, I could use the time we stay on full stop to run some simulations of combat scenarios with Lt. Brooks on the holodeck, so that I can perform more efficiently on a real situation.
