*Alissa just got off duty so she walked out of the bridge and went to ten forward. She walked into ten forward and saw the Captain and her friend siting at a table. She grabed some food and walked over to them. "Hello Captain, Johnathan. May I join you?"

Sir, according with medium range sensors information Mr. Dalon just achieved, there is a faint residue, that confirms the subspace distortion caused by species 8472 weapons. It may have appeared obvious before, but now is confirmed that they caused the destruction of the Loxian ship.

Captain, Im getting a reading on their ship's damage after the torpedos hit...... medium damage to the port side, light damage to aft.

Sir. The sensors indicate that Species 8472's ship is communicating with the Loxian ship.

Sir, the Vulcan mind meld can be disturbing for some humans and I understand if you refuse it, though most humans who have experienced the meld found it quite... relaxing.

*taps his console fastly*

Sir, based on their current speed and heading, I was able to predict a breach in the Loxian barricade. I am readjusting our heading to use the breach, sir.

*taps his console again. the viewscreen shows the Loxian ships moving as Dalon predicted and the breach appears. the Evolution passes through it before the Loxians can realize what happened.*

Going to warp, sir.

"So what's this all with station Avalon....some alien attack I heared, but who can do such damage to us?"

It's as if I'm looking for the answer of a question, and I couldn't find it back home. I don't even know what the question is I'm trying to find an answer to, but as you can see it got me so far to the captain's chair!" he laughs, and then he sees Alissa Marou walking over to their table and asking them to join.
"Oh by all means, feel free to take a seat among us."

Perhaps they adopted both tactics, or are studying a better way to disguise them. It would be logical to attack all that came near this region in order to protect any experience they are conducting here.

I will use the meduim range sensors to scan the debris and confirm it's identity.

Sir, the ship was indeed Loxian, and must have been attacked no more than a week ago. There are no survivors. Readings indicate it exploded due to a warp core breach.

I do have some telepathic habilities, sir. Though I believe that there is a way to close the fluidic gate, but only for a short time and we would have a very narrow time frame to do it, sir.

Good job everyone. Lieutenant Dalon, set a course to Avalon Station, passing through the point we are leaving Ambassador Neelix and avoid Loxian Space as much as possible. Lieutanant Brooks, start organizing repairing teams to put the key systems in order. I want you handling it in person. I will be on engineering to see the damage on the engines. Lieutenant Dalon, you have the bridge. Inform me of any changes in our situation, and if Ambassador Neelix appears, tell him to meet me in engineering.
