Rivendell Mss. 5: The Disappearance of Cpt. Taurik

[Mitch Walker]

The Rivendell was crusing along at impulse when suddenly a warning flashed on Mitch's screen.  

"Hull breech on deck nine!  Emergency forcefields in place."  

Mitch tapped his combadge.  

"Captian Taurik to the bridge."  

There was no response.  

"Captain this is Lieutenant Walker please respond."  

There was still no response.  

"Computer locate Captain Taurik."  

Computer:  Captian Taurik is in his quarters.

"Security to Captian Taurik's quarters!"

"Mr. Freeman, over the past few days you have not only done what I asked, but more. You have gone above and beyond what is called for from a Lieutenant Commander. You have demonstrated dedication and skill that I have never seen in an engineer before. However, my original statement stands. You have not acted with the discipline and dedication of an officer worthy of the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Instead, you have shown to be worthy of more. As such, I hearby promote you, Morgan Freeman, to the rank of Commander, with all of the privileges and responsibilities therein."

Baphomet, fascinated by the Banter between Captain and First Officer had this advice to offer.

"Well Doctor is does look like your having a problem with the gel packs.  I will have them replaced.  Did you run a virual anylisis on this pack?"  Morgan points to the black pack.

"All Senior Staff please send me a status report of your departments.  So we can fill what empty slots we have and get this ship to 100%."

*At that moment, the sounds of Taurik's surroundings seem to fade away, and the echo of another voice grows stronger... At first, Taurik is unable to make anything of it, but after some moments, he can begin to understand certain words clearly...*
"Taurik... Taurik... You must listen... Very important..."
*A singular voice now resounds clearly in his head, only for him to hear...*
"You must not fear us... We are the Gallifreyans, and we use ours and your telepathic abilities to communicate... There is no use looking for us, we are not anywhere near you... Baphomet, steps tentively out of the Turbolift onto the bridge and walks to the Science Station and logs-on.

"Chief Science officer, reporting for duty sir."
"I appologise for my hiatus, but there were matters I had to attend to."



OOC: Actually I was waiting for the forum to go back online, but looking at all these posts it appears it was up and running for a while and my =Computer= just wouldn't log in. The Main page loaded but not the forums.
Once agian I appologise, but obviously there are NO problems now.

Ah yes. The Evolution chief Medical Officer had not just your medical File to report. Appaerntly your a bit of a practical joker.  MMMMMM a Vulcan wonders will never sieze I suppose. It appears that the CMO and a couple of others are happy to see the back of you. All I ask is that you leave the Medical stuff to me and we should get on fine.

"Captain, I have remodulated the subspace dynamics of the ship it should be less taxing to control the warp field, Also sir, we can set up a temporary warp core now using the cores from 6 of our warp capible shuttlecraft.  With your permission, I could have it up and running in 5 minutes.  Then we can switch it over to that core instead of you"

" Sir that is excactly the reason that you need to get out of here.  As I know if the Gallifreyan's haven't trained any other starfleet officers which means you had something to offer them more important then saving this ship.  Orpheus, Kassie and I can preform the restart. "

[Baphomet]

Baphomet pulled herself together and began to walk towards the exit...
"Yes Doctor you are quite right, if there is nothing further I shall be on the bridge."

With that Baphomet walked out of Sickbay, with a purpose in her stride and ariived on the bridge moments later.
