Rivendell Mss. 5: The Disappearance of Cpt. Taurik

[Morgan Freeman]

"Yes sir commander.  Request permission to transfer ship functions to the backup prosessor and have a little heart to heart with the main computer."

[Taurik]

(OFF: Wait a minute, did I just lose my science officer?)

[Taurik]

Legudon approached Taurik in his chambers. "Taurik, it has been almost three weeks since you began training," he said. "I feel you are ready to finish your training. I have something to give you."

Legudon pulls a strangely shaped item from his belt. "This is the weapon of the Gallifreyans, one being carried by every Sentinel in existance. It is mostly symbolic, but I have no doubt you will find a use for it."

Legudon holds the item in his fist, and faces his fist outwards. Giving the object a single, firm shake activates it, creating a twin blade of light.

This is a Khala. It is a blade of light that can be used as a devastating melee weapon when no other means of combat are feasible. I present it to you, as a gift for completing your training."

The Gallifreyan deactivates the khala and presents it to Taurik, who accepts it graciously. "Thank you, Legudon."

"Aye sir. "
Morgan leaves the obeservation lounge heading for engineering.  

After arriving engineering freeman turns to the engineering teams.
"Alright folks we have some work to do.   Computer Seal off engineering authorization Freeman 11759Pie.  "  
-Engineering sealed commander-

Engineers go about configuring probles and setting up the sensonrs after a few minutes.

We are ready down here.  Launching probes.
=A= Engineering out. =A=

Probes are launched from the rivendell and take there positions.  

"Ensign Thomis send the code"
"Yes sir commander.  Code away, receiving a signal.   We have the results. "

Thomis gives Freeman a padd with the results on it.

Results are back and I am on my way to the bridge.

"Computer Remove seal on engineering authorization Freeman 11759Piebeta."

Freeman leaves engineering on route to the bridge.

[Morgan Freeman]

"Yes sir.   Baklavar, you have the bridge."

Freeman goes to the captains ready room

"You wanted to see me sir?"

[Taurik]

(OFF: Technically we still only have two sections. We haven't been back to Avalon to have the new replacement integrated.)

[Taurik]

"Commander Freeman... you must... remodulate the integrity... field to the... warp field. I am... currently acting... as the warp... core."

[Baphomet]

Baphomet was working at her station, when she a blank expression appeared on her face, she moved away from her station as though she was a Puppet on a string and headed for the Turbolift.

**Weapons control**
Baphomet walked into the Rivendell's, currently unoccupied Main Weapons Control room. There she walked to the C & C panel and began to replace all activation sub-routines, with new ones connected directly to the Subspace Tranceiver Assembly for remote control.
She then deleted all Sensor logs of her movements from the Bridge to here and for the return trip, which Baphomet then did with the same blank expressions.

**Bridge**
Baphomet went to her station and completed her work there, unaware that she had ever left, bar a slight headache.

Taurik wanders about the area beyond the landing pad, which has a striking resemblance to an enclave of sorts. There are no people in sight, yet the place feels crowded and noisy. A small building far from the pad, on the other end of the enclave, calls to him. He walks to it and stands before the door. Rather than retract, the door simply fades away. After walking through, the door reappears, solid as ever. He makes his way to a center chamber, where he sees Legudon flanked by two other Gallifreyans.

"Why have I been summoned here?" Taurik asks.

The tall, thin creature approaches him. "You have heard of us before, correct?"

"I believe so," Taurik answers. "You are the the ones who have defeated the Na'jigat at Sordinan, Dantor, and the Dark Passage?"

"Yes. We are the Gallifreyans. We fight a constant battle against the Na'jigat. However, you must realize that the Na'jigat can never be truly defeated. We have waged war with them for countless millenia. Until several millenia ago, we had allies, the Erendir. But the Erendir were destroyed by the Na'jigat, and ever since, the Gallifreyans have been fighting a losing battle."

"The Erendir? There have been no mention of them, and we have explored most of the planets around here. Surely we would have found evidence of them?"

"The Na'jigat leave behind nothing to be discovered. But that is a discussion for another time. I will not waste your time with talk, Captain Taurik. We are losing the battle with the Na'jigat. Normally, we never reveal ourselves unless it is to protect others from the Na'jigat. But we need help. Our ranks thin, and the Na'jigat are expanding. This is why there have been numerous attacks on your kind. Captain Taurik, we have percieved in you the ability to truly combat the Na'jigat. As of yet, you are the only Vulcan, the only corporeal outside our own society that we know of with this ability. We wish to train you, make you into one of us. You are powerful, perhaps powerful enough to become one of the greatest Gallifreyans alive. Captain Taurik, we wish to make you a Sentinel."

Baphomet scans the science station, after a summary glance turns her head towards Lt. Walker.

"i would not trouble yourself Mr. Walker, one of our shuttles is missing and sensors have detected a federation Warp-signature. Although I seem to be unable to determine the direction due to the use of a tachyon pulse"

She then turns back to her duty station...

OOC: Who is XO of this ship by the way?

"Good work, Commander. Inform the Evolution of the virus, and begin a remote link to their main computer to purge the file at fault."

  Can you see attempt to activate the stuttles transponder.  It should lead us to him.

Baphomet folded her hands infront of her in the Toaist position...
 "Commander, the Daystrom Institute has been experimenting in creating a neural link between a telepath and a starships main computer core, it might be possible to link one of the crew, who is telepathic to the Rivendell's Computer Core.
 All Prometheus-class vessels have fully integrated Bio-neural circuitry, which would make the task more likely to succeed and make finding the Captain a probability rather than an impossibilty, sir"
 "However I must caution that this technique is experimental at best."

(OFF: The crisis isn't over yet, though. Svensson only temporarily paused the S31 program. Lets assume it's corrupted and even Svensson will have trouble with it.)
