Mission 2: "Lending a Helping Hand"

"Very good point, Private Simpson.  Its vital you do not forget your gear and you make sure you have your combat gear on and active, even with the EVA suits on.  Make sure you have your back up weapons with you as well.  Simpson will be carrying the medical gear and Johnson will be carrying extra weapons just in case.  Any other questions?" Balkazar asked.

[Tom Titan]

*Tom stands up and paces a bit waiting for the Heerani ships and the small defiant class to exit the nebula. Then on the view screen the defiant class pops out of the nebula followed by the two Heerani ships.*

"FIRE! Target the lead ship do not give them a chance to get a weapons lock or bring their shields back up. Don't even give them a chance to blink and second guess what had just happened!"

[Balkazar]

<Captured Heraani Vessel>

"You heard the captain, full sweep of the ship.  Then I want 20 men to stay aboard, the rest beam back to the Lothlorien.  Richerds, take 100 marines and sweep the ship, just incase we might have missed a few.  Ill download what we have found out about the Heraani Vessel and report to Captain Titan." Balkazar had ordered.

<Balkazar takes a PADD and take the next 30 minutes downloading and compiling a report for the captain>

As the shields came up they acted a a replusor and the Iroquois and the Lothlorien started to move slightly futher apart.

That is of course if we are returning with them sir.

Helm plot a course to SS Avalon. Warp 6 we shall escort her all the way home. I think we should  Lead them home.

*Titan nods at the lieutenant*

"Indeed, head to sickbay and ready your medical teams for heavy casualties. Mr. Velotion I have a task for you. I need you to navigate a a probe to the Iroquois carrying a message stating what the plan will be so we do not reveal their position and so they know what to do. You up to the task? Commander, do you have any other suggestions or advice on this matter?"

<Sickbay>

<Rushes over to Major Keller and grasps his hand as a silent way of John letting Keller know he wasnt alone as the nurses heaved him onto a biobed nearby>

<Leans in close to his ear and whispers>

"Im with you brother, dont leave us just yet.  Theres more battles for you to fight and I wont let a fellow marine die on my watch without a fight." he said grasping Kellers hand as he stood up and used his other hand to grab for a hyprospray to put him to sleep while we worked on him.

"Hes ready doctor.  I suggest we do a quick look to see the exact injuries first before treating." he said calling out to Nesbitt.

"Richerd, open fire on the lead ship.  Then retarget the second ship and fire on it." Balkazar ordered.

<As the last of the marines formed up and John joined them, Balkazar lite up the LCARS.  It was the design of the USS Iroquois inside and out, it was a very detailed ship plan>

"Ok, As most of you know, we are a rapid response task force.  Which means, we dont know who will need our help or where, however, this time a fellow Starfleet vessel needs our help.  They are being attacked by 3 heraani cruisers.  These cruisers are preventing the Starfleet vessel from calling help.  We dont know the condition of the ship either.  For all we know, everyone could be dead already.  So here is the plan.  There will be 2 platoons heading in.  There are several access points according to this map.  Theres 1 near the bridge, another by way of the access ramp and one near the ventral system for the ship.  I preffer to use transporters but im afraid we wont have that luxury.  Now, we will need to go in hard and fast and secure the ship.  If everyone is down, then the medics will take care of the wounded.  Once we assess the situation and start repairs we will wait for further orders from there.  Richerds will take one platoon and secure the engine room.  Ill take the other platoon and secure the bridge.  Remember, The crew of the Iroquois, may fire at us thinking we are the enemy, so I want you to yell out and inform them we are there to help.  Now your wandering what the EVA suits are for.  Well, we will get to fly in space for awhile to board the Iroquois.  Also before I forget, they may be boarded so be ready for anything.  So, is there any questions?" Balkazar explained.

<Heraani ship>

"Richerds, be ready to fire at anything isnt we dont control?. he asked.

"Where is that blasted Iroquois." he mumbled to himself.

[Balkazar]

<Before leaving>

"Fine, but im checking up on my men first, if thats alright." he said as he started to cool down glaring at Wallace.

<Sickbay>

"We best give him a fighting chance on this end then.  Would you agree?.  I suggest we repair the critical area first, which means we will have to open him up and see the real damage to his heart and repair that.  Then we will see how far his condition progresses."
