Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

T'lana walked around checking all the stations' readings and then back to her station.

"Captain, I am reading multiple rifts in the spacetime continuum, what I can not discern is the cause. If I would be inclined to make a best guess, I would have to say that someone or something is manipulating spacetime to such an effect that it is folding in on itself...if I was inclined to hazard a guess that is."

"They were working in tandem with a Heraani starship to sabotage Starbase Avalon. I barely managed to survive, as they were not only experts of the blade, but had mastered the use of twin Heraani energy bracers, leading me further to believe they were working together."

"Captain, theres a spacial distortion 200 meters off our port side.  I think it may be a temporal distortion." Kassie reported from her operations station.

[Doctor Who]

Even though the Doctor had engaged the TARDIS' vortex-drive, he just couldn't leave the area, so the TARDIS was flying around the star system in circles scanning the area constantly.

The Doctor thought to himself, *How do I get myself into these things.*

"Computer, bring temporal torpedoes online and Staser Canons, prepare for insurgence."

Computer: Acknowledged.

The Doctor went to the central console and programmed in an exit vector.

The massive Gallifreyan Battlecruiser emerged from the spacetime vortex and fired it's Staser Canons, destroying the inbound torpedoes, firing again the TARDIS took out a few of the Heraani fighters as well.

Ignoring the phase-shifted Heraani Capital Ship, the Doctor piloted the TARDIS to the USS Evolution and the USS Rivendell.

<At that, Beta decided to take her word for it and follow her directions.>

"Away team, move out! We have a back door being cleared for us to the West, get through it before it closes up!"

<As his team ran for the opening, they saw a few of the Heraani that were pointed out by Alexia, and opened fire upon them as they ran.>

"No, we're fine thank you, we were informed that it was you who was in need of assistance. We responded to a distress call sent out by the Evolution. They informed us of your situation.

[T'lana]

"Indeed."

T'lana moved to the Stasis Unit and initiated the wake-up cycle, after a few seconds, the lid opened with a hiss.

T'lana maneuvered her hand around to the back of the girls neck and touched a hidden switch where the neck meets the should.

The female android opened her blue eyes and smiled.

"Hello T'lana, who is your friend?"

The blonde woman climbed out of the Stasis Unit and straightened her uniform.

T'lana closed the lid on the Stasis Chamber and retracted it back into the bulkhead. Standing she began the introductions.

"Morgan, meet the avatar of the alien vessel."

[Taurik]

"Doctor O'Neal should be in Sickbay, and although I am sure he would appreciate the additional staff, there doesn't seem to be any use for an additional medical officer for the time being. Of course, if you wish the medical staff to be your permanent assignment, we can most certainly arrange it."

[Holographic Officer Beta]

OFF: Thanks, we decided that that bit hadn't actually happened because you hadn't authorised it :P

<The crew hear a faint fizzing sound, as Holographic Officer Beta, or Beta for short, materialises on the bridge, projected by the ships built-in holo emitters. He then walks straight to the nearest replicator and orders it to produce a mobile emitter from schematics Starfleet has programmed him to hold. Placing it on his arm, and holding out the appropriate tool, he speaks to Ensign Torbin.>

"Ensign, would you mind? I just need you to transfer my program into the emitter for me from the ships computer. Then perhaps I could assist you in Engineering with the power fluxuations you detected earlier, I couldn't help but overhear over the Com.
Captain, I notice you have not yet got a medical officer. If you wish, for now after I have finished helping the Ensign I could fill in that role for you?"

(OFF: Continued from the Celtic Corner.)

Taurik stepped into the reactor chamber, his energy blade providing the only source of light. He could feel a strange feeling in this room, but could feel no presence in particular. At first, he thought it might be his imagination getting carried away, but then he felt a burst of motion behind him. He spun immediately, only to feel a similar burst behind him again, after he turned.

Spinning back to his original bearings, he saw a thin creature in lightly wrapped, almost nomadic garments drop to the walkway. It's eyes shining a brilliant blue, it had a Heraani energy bracer on each arm. As those bracers each produced a searing green energy beam, he heard another footfall behind him, as well as a second set of blades igniting.

Drawing his own, single weapon, Taurik realized he was not only outnumbered, but severely outgunned as well.

T'lana thought it necessary to further respond in kind and did so.

"I concur Captain, Starfleet away team protocol states that no civilian may command or attend a combat away mission. HK47 is definitely the most illogical and unstable machine I have met. The away team would have better success being commanded by a Romulan, than HK47."

T'lana went back to her scans of the spacetime anomalies.
