Holographic Officer Beta

<Beta looked at the Away Team. He could tell some were scared or nervous.>

"OK. We're going to be going into an unknown battlefield, with unknown odds. What we do know is you have all been trained for this, and we have comrades waiting on that planet.

We have been prepared for this mission for most of, if not all of our careers. I know you will all do well, and we will show those Heraani (OOC I'm guessing they are on the ground against the Evolution's crew? i cant remember where abouts it said in their topic) who is the best!  Are you all with me??"

<As Beta gets a chorus of shouting and "Yes, Sir!"s from the Team, he enters the cockpit and sits in the Tactical station (OOC: I'm not sure the layout of the Kelata, so forgive me if something's wrong)>

"Sir, the Away Team is in high spirits. Do we have an ETA?"

HK47

OOC**OK!, this is the last time im going to say it!, HK47 was the only name I could think of and it sounded good, still does.  If your not careful ill come up with another droid to bother the heck of you all.  Maybe an evil one. *winks*

IC**

"Droids dont bicker commander.  I think you should catch up on what droids are before making such an emotional statement as that."

T'lana

The android stated matter-of-factly and quite proudly:

"My name Rhiannon, avatar of the Artificial Intelligence Entity, to the High Guard warship 'Phoenix Rising', pleasure meeting you."

"Master Taurik. Welcome back to Gallifrey. I must say, I am shocked that you so openly brought outsiders to our world. I trust in your wisdom, so I am confident you have good reason."

Bran Tragare

"captain i have analised our last attack on the herrani vessal, it wasnt my error or the torpedoes .
some how the heranni programed the targting computer on the torpedos to recognise us as thier intended targets.
i think that flash before the hit had something to do with it also sir for a brief second the torpedos occupied space and time in two differant places.
as the telemetry also showed a two hour differance in time from when they were supposed to strike the herrani vessel and the time when i noticed they have changed tragectory. thats impossable.
ive ran everything through the computer 4 times and what i have reported come out always the same."

OCC: something for the science station to work on lol
Ship: U.S.S Rivendell
Name: Bran Tragare
Rank: Ensign
Position: Tactical

AjaxTorbin

<walks over and puts a hand on Tragare as the jolt passes>

"hey, its not nice to touch uninvited. you may get burned. or in this case, zapped."

<turns to HK47>

"your designation is HK47? yes? will you assist me at engineering? i need you watch the power flow and intermix while i do a systems diagnostic on the wepons power relays."

Givrillian Sarpedon

=^=Bridge to T'lana=^=

"Understood. I am on my way now."

=^=Bridge Out=^=

Signing off the command console on the bridge to stop anyone from coming in and having full access to various systems without authorisation, Sarpedon headed to the turbolift to begin his journey to the Shuttle Bay.

Upon arrival, he saw T'lana standing outside the Kelata and headed over to her. "Ready to go when you are Commander" he said.

Givrillian Sarpedon

After struggling through many sealed and unpowered doors, Sarpedon eventually made it to the umbical for the Rivendell. Boarding the ship, he went straight to the bridge. It was empty, and non of the systems were logged on. Sitting in the Captain's chair to be able to centralise all controls, Sarpedon logged on. He had only basic access plus that of the Chief Helmsman, but it was enough to route communications and all sensors to the Command Console next to the chair.

HK47

"Trust comes with time, Captain.  But if you wish to know, there are some humans who are quite resourceful with limited resources at there disposal.  I only follow orders, Captain.  Unless I think your judgement and logic has been compromised then I will carry out my last orders.  I may be foreign to this ship and crew but not foriegn to the protocols for Starfleet.  I have served your ex-captain with utmost loyalty.  I was sent by the Delta alliance to assist starfleet in its continued survival.  If you question my motives then you should talk to Captain Sanchez to Verify what I say is true.  Or I can show you the records in my memory banks to prove to you what I say is true." HK47 responded.

=/\=captain, this is engineering, the deflector over load caused a masive power surge in nearby systems. we lost two phaser arays on the ventral side, gamma section and shield output is down 13%. other than that though it just some minor backup systems down.=/\=

T'lana

As T'lana was unconscious, her mind hearkened back to the time when she was a slave for the Orion Syndicate, something that occurred more and more lately.

**A young T'lana was just out of the Science Academy and on her first mission to the Alnitak System. In old human terms, Alnitak was in the belt of Orion, a constellation name after a Greek god and was a thought to be an ancient Vulcan colony.
Mintaka being another of the three Orion's Belt stars was known to be the home of a Proto-Vulcan culture as found by the USS Enterprise D.

So they sent their novice scientist, T'lana, to investigate further.

T'lana had already built the "Kelata"  by then and with it's prototype Slipspace Engine was ideal for such a journey.
Although unfinished, namely the Ablative Armor and Cloaking Device, T'lana headed out in the "Kelata" for the Alnitak System.
Unfortunately an Orion Slave Ship was in the Alnitak System and picked up the spacetime rupture as the "Kelata" exited Slipspace.
A successful test of the new Slipspace Engine was dampened by the ensuing battle that left the "Kelata" returning to Vulcan under computer control and T'lana in the hands of the Orion Syndicate.
The time she spent with the Slave traders left her scarred for life, as T'lana endured being tortured and raped repeatedly and that was all before she was taken to the auctioning chamber on Orion Three.

There T'lana suffered more humiliation and was eventually sold to a nasty little Ferengi pervert who designed and sold Holosuite "love" programs.

T'lana was forced to pose in various positions unbecoming of a Vulcan, in various alluring garments and made into the lead Slave Girl of a Holonovel called "Vulcan Love Slave 3".
What made her humiliation worse, was the fact that "Vulcan Love Slave 3" was the most popular in the sordid and insidious series.

T'lana finally got a break, when her Ferengi Master was placed under arrest for using real people as the basis of the Adult Holonovels. But to save themselves from retribution, decided to kill T'lana.

Ferengi complacency on her side, T'lana manged to steal the Marauder that was her prison for months and went out to seek revenge on the Slave Ship, which she destroyed with the Marauder suffering damage as it went.

Eventually returning to Vulcan after being helped by an alien base she stumbled upon, T'lana returned to Vulcan and underwent multiple Kolinahr rites and Fullara to suppress the memories. Returning to her duties she subconsciously blamed the Science Council for her ideal, so she added ablative armor and a cloaking device and joined the V'shar before joining Star Fleet after 5 earth years.**

T'lana awoke on the Kelata with a start, she would have been sweating from the memories if it wasn't for the fact that Vulcans have no sweat glands.

T'lana had fear in her eyes as Givrillian was still standing over her, which subsided as she regained control and shook off the last of the memories.

T'lana wiped the green blood from her nose, that occurred due to several capillaries bursting due to gravitic pressure.

"Thank you Mr. Givrillian, your rescue was quite precipitous."

T'lana

Standing, but not having much luck, T'lana managed to get to the Helm Station, she sat down more with a flop than her usual grace.

"Computer, find the ejected cockpit pit and set a course."

Computer: Acknowledged...target found 1 light-minute from the "Kelata". Setting course and engaging engines.

The Kelata took off after the remaining section of the Slipfighter, after nearly thirty minutes had passed the still spinning section was finally in sight.

"Computer, arm weapons, lock on to the Slipfighter and fire."

Computer: Weapons active, locking on target, firing. Target destroyed.

As the Kelata finished off the remaining section of the Slipfighter that exploded in a plume of orange light, T'lana set course back for the station.

Thirty minutes later the Kelata returned to Avalon Station, with which T'lana put it in to a parking pattern 500 meters away from the maintenance hatch.

=A=Kelata to Morgan Freeman=A=

"Morgan, how are the repairs going, we are quite vulnerable still and the Kelata is no match for Heraani Cruisers"

Givrillian Sarpedon

Yea, you got a point there. I just commented on it because most Vulcans I know of keep all their emotions in check. Personally, I agree with you though, emotions are good, or else life would be boring.

And to answer your question, HK, I have only recently been added to the crew, to starfleet for that matter, but I know how to do my job. I used to handle any job my parents could throw at me on their ships back in the Alpha Quadrant, especially on helm.

Givrillian Sarpedon

Sarpedon tapped the controls and swung the ship around to face the outer rims of the system.

"Heading towards the fifth planet now. Beta, I presume you can take care of those two heading towards us along the way? I'm guessing you'll want to take a look at the station, am I right, Captain?" he said, putting the main drive to full sublight speed.
