Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

When the Rivendell Away Team had left the Kelata, T'lana closed the hatch and cycled the engines back up.

Lifting off, the Kelata made no noise bar a barely audible hum and kicked up a bit of particulate matter. Turning on station T'lana remained cloaked but activated the Phased Plasma Pulse Cannons and Quantum Torpedo Launcher.

"Cadet Beta, make your way 23º, 15', 30" north by 50' 12" north-west for 2.33 km. There you will come across a over hang, that should look onto the fortress."

torbin was having much the same problem that beta was having trying to get to engineering.

dman, dman-damn,damn. ok stop. ive got to program force fields for the whole ship, to do that i need a main engineers console, and the only place they are , is in-

he would have smacked himself if he wasn't holding onto a couple of Phasers, this ship can seperate into three, there are three main engineerings! well, only one 'main engineering', the others were 'secondary'.

he had only made it down three levels so he would just take the short cut, looking around for the nearest jefferies tube he spotted the access. he also spotted three heraani shimmer as the cycling lights found the propper spectrum.

Torbin and never been any good with phasers, he barly passed the minimun required test, but he was an engineer, as such he knew alot about the odds.
if you have a 50% chance of hitting somthing, and you have two chances, your odds go WAY up.

each phaser shot a choerent stream of energy for a standerd 1.5 second burst, one beam missed its target, and hit the heraani behind the first, the other though, hit the first one square on the shoulder.

it wasn't Torbin's fault he was bad shot, heck, he didn't even know that the heraani kept their cloaking badge there. and even if he had, he had no way to know that heraani cloaks use Voltain Gas in their core.

but if he had known, he would know that Voltain Gas is sensitive, not normaly, only when it is exposed to Ultra Violet light of a cirtain wave length, and a strong EM field.

light like that which the computer had cycled into in order to keep the cloaks visable, and a EM field like that which the standard type II phaser emitts when fired.

but if you were watching this all you saw was a ensign fire his weapon and then the hall explode. if it wasn't for the curve of the hall, and the alcove that Torbin was in, he would have far, far more than a few minor burns.

Torbin stood shaking, unable to move for a few miniutes and then casuly opened the tube hatch and crawled inside, ignoring the fresh soot and gore on his uniform.

"Crewmen, I dont recognize you as part of this crew.  Hmmmm, its possible my files havent been updated yet.  Hope you know how to do your job." HK47 said in a non-emotional computerized response.

[HK47]

"Ohhhh, I love killing, I miss the screams about it the most." he said gleefully as he walked over to the engineering console.

"Now lets see whats causing the temporal disturbances." he said as he started to go threw the console faster then a human could blink.

"Hmmmmm, theres an interesting device.  Seems this device was placed on the upper warp core to alter its molecular structure to cause temporal disturbances." he said as he climbed up to the upper deck of engineering.

T'lana turned to the Helm Officer...

"Negative Crewman, there is also no evidence that the anomalous readings would disrupt the Warp Field."

T'lana turned back to the Science Station and continued to run her scans.

"Indeed Mr. Sarpedon."

<Walks onto the bridge and listens to Tragares report>

"Ensign, you will learn that sometimes destroying a small part of a ship is better then having the ship totally over ran and destroyed.  I was in complete control of what you would reffer to as emotion.  I think your suggesting I let the ship be destroyed?"

"I can easily repair the damage I had inflicted, Captain.  I wouldnt do damage I wouldnt beable to repair.  Also you wont have any more problems with temporal anomalies, I destroyed the device that was causing it.  Ill send my nanites to repair the damage I had inflicted."

<Goes over to a console and sends over 1000 nanites to deck 5 and ordered them to repair the damage that was inflicted>

"Personally, I would think you would be more grateful for my assistence instead of treating me like im some stupid machine.  You may take tactical now.  I will be in astrometrics if you need me." he said in a way of angry contempt for Tragare as HK leaves the bridge.

OOC**Dont be an ####, Tragare and learn some spelling and grammer please, no one can understand what your saying half the time.  And those # were on purpose.

"I believe that, with the scale of the conflict between the Heraan and the Gallifreyans so far, that the Rivendell may be underpowered for this task. A Gallifreyan cruiser would be better suited."

Beta moved to the Tactical station and accessed the ships systems. It didn't take him long to familiarise his subroutines with the ship, considering his brief time in it's datacore.

"Weapons are primes and shields are at full, Captain." he flickers "Which of these ********* can I blast down first?" he said with a manical grin on his face.

T'lana turned to see all on board and were now just waiting for the go ahead from the Captain.

"Do not concern yourself Mr. Beta, I have allowed for your mobile emitter with the Kelata's security system."

"I'm a prototype Holographic Officer. Starfleet Command recently sent me to Expansion Fleet for field testing. You did exceptionally well back there. I hope you give me and my team an opportunity to prove our worth."

Kassie, while your at that could you use the same lighting pattern on the ship's external lights, we might have one attached to us or at least nearby.
