Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

(OFF: I wasn't ready to leave Gallifrey yet. Consider this to be in the interim between the Council dispersing and the Kelata leaving for Dantor.)

Taurik stepped up to Master Techerakh, a shameful expression on his face. "Master," he stated, "I have failed to defeat the enemies of the Order. Only by mere chance was I saved from death. Master, the new aliens are ruthless, expert swordsmen, adept at dual-wielding. I realized that my only way to fight back was to attempt it myself, but I was not ready."

"So I make this request of you. I wish to learn the art of khala-dho, the mastery of two khalai, and you are the only Gallifreyan alive to have mastered it. Will you teach me?"

[Bran Tragare]

"full spread fore and aft tubes already loaded sir, have target lock and firing"

<tragare watches as the torpedoes speed towards the target just before they hit a bright flash comes fron the targeted ship>

"sir the torpedoes have hit major damage to thier shields down to 5% and thier weapons systems have went off line structural integrety  down to 50 %"

<suddenly a look of horror comes over his face,and he yells>

"sir two of are torepedoes went rogue they are headed back towards us"

<tragare works the controls,and watches as the phasers hit one torpedo but misses the last one>

<Alexia looked back as she heard the loud explosions from towards the fortress, then looked back at the stranded starfleet officers>

=^= "No, we are stranded yes but we dont need help.  We are simply taking out a rather large and formidable fortress.  We picked you up on our sensors and noticed about 40 heraani near your position.  There circling your position trying to cut you off from retreat.  You just went from the frying pan into the fire if we dont get you out now." =^=

As the USS Rivendell came to bare on the unknown vessel, they had one shot at this which was executed with logic and speed.

"Firing the main Deflector."

All the power of the Warp Core was dumped from the Main Deflector Dish in a coherent beam of gravity effecting energy.

But something unexpected happed, not only did several relays, isolinear controls and EPS manifolds blow, but so did the alien ship, in a blinding flash of light and particulate matter.

"It appears their Meson Canons were tied into their gravity field generators, so the negative energy from our Warp Engines caused a gravity well within the vessel, that it obviously could not contain."

T'lana scanned the debris for any signs of who or what they were, but nothing much could be said for them at all.

"Although I can not tell you who or what they were, I can tell you where they are from in regards to spatial location.
Electromagnetic analysis of the debris is showing an extradimensional quantum signature, so spacetime is not their natural environment."


OOC: Just an idea for future stories, if you don't like it I can change it no problems.

OOC: I was going to put something in ealier today but ran out of time.

IC: After transport was complete I move to the bed that T'lana was at. I put up the surgical field and slowly watched and waited, Slowly as I continued the surgery it came to the point. Being a Vulcan with a chest wound she was in no immediate danger and so I closed the wound with nothing more needed.

It was a long surgery but quick healing and un feeling Vulcan should be soon back to work.

A few hours later in the recovery room I Commander T'lana can too and was all patched up.

Well Commander I would expect that you would want to get back to to work. Well guess what. You don't have that option. You are badly injuried and shall need a couple of day rest. I think you are okay to return home but no physical exertion for two day. On the third day you  may return to the bridge.

T'lana at the Science Station (apparently http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ) downloaded all the telemetry data from the Interdimensional Portal to a PADD and moved back to the command chair, handing the PADD to her Captain.

"Mr. Sarpedon picked up the anomaly on his navigation telemetry screen Captain, the blue-white energy ring is perfectly symmetrical as you can see and permeates every dimension from spacetime, to subspace, to the higher-dimensions of hyperspace.
We have currently launched another class 5 probe, the first being destroyed by a Gallifreyan vessel traversing interdimensional space."

T'lana finished her report, awaiting the Captain's orders.

OOC: Although I love the concept of the Slipspace Engine, it is logical to assume, that given Gallifreyans age that they can do whatever they want, having harnessed Planck Energy(10 to the 19 billion electron volts) more than 20 million years prior to Earth's 20th Century.

Taurik looked at his console next to his seat, where he was pulling up the data on the chroniton fields.

"It looks as if the distortion is only causing a discrepancy of a few minutes. We should catalogue this anomaly and continue, no doubt the Evolution is in grave danger still."

OOC: The following, has been slightly altered from the origin specs for the White Stars of Babylon 5.  I am using the White Star Battle Cruiser simply because it is the ship image used in the databank.

As to Morgan's question, she could only say:

"I do not know actually, Rhiannon would love to serve again, but is Star Fleet ready for such a powerful vessel?"

T'lana kissed Morgan again, slipped to the side slightly and cuddled into Morgan.

"So, would it be considered forward of me to ask if you would like to stay the night?"
