USS Evolution Mission 14: The Last Flight

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez looked at the doctor.*
"I know. But I'll be saving many more people with this. It isn't just about the honor of going down with the ship, it's about Loxius. I could bring life back to the planet. I know it would cost my life, but I'm sure Zayan would wish it. Imagine, for the loss of one, so many more could be saved! Loxius is a dying planet, commander!"

[Event Horizon]

The U.S.S. Evolution, starship of the Federation and home to more than eighty Starfleet officers, took it's last proverbial breath.

The auto-destruct sequence was initiated, and the charges housed along the impulse reactors ignited. It was slow at first, the fire spewing lazily from the impulse engines, working its way along the saucer and dorsal spine, and reaching the warp core.

The antimatter containment pods were breached, and antimatter particles were released into Engineering, where they promptly reacted with the matter that composed the room. The Evolution twisted and lurched very violently, before splittng in two and vaporizing itself in an expanding plasma fireball.

As the plasma and fusion reached the remnants of the star Loxius Alpha, an amazing thing occurred. The core elements of the star, hydrogen and helium, began to actually fuse once more. The star, a dull grey for many years, began to glow again. It began as a deep red, slowly working it's way up the spectrum until the entire sphere shone a brilliant, bright yellow. The heat began to strike the planet Loxius Prime once more.

The star Loxius Alpha was alive again. But at a cost.

The U.S.S. Evolution, and with it, Commander Bryan Hannah, were no more.

[ftima]

*Ftima turns around, when she realise who she looks in the eye, she turns warm over her whole body*

"Nonir, I didnt expect to see you here, you dont know how happy I am, What will happen to us?
*She grabs the hand he offers her. He pulls her towards him and tries to comfort her, but he feels her heart beating*

"Oh Robert I think we wont make it this time, and that feeling frightens me". She looks him in the eye hoping for some words which will make her feel save"

[Blaze]

*Blaze switfy turns knocking Nofftz off balance as he topples to the ground, While Nofftz was a tad dazed, Blaze got up quickly and wrenched the phaser from the young lt. hand almost crushing his hand with the force, then in a vicelike grip of death Blaze began to close his fist around Nofttz neck, if he moved Blaze would close his fist around nofftz neck even closer*

*Upon closer inspection everyone who could see what occured could see that it was a Jem'Hadar/Cybernetic hybrid*

"Dont move Mr Nofftz or I will CRUSH! your wind pipe, and if I wanted too I could bring you up on charges of assault!.  Most rules would say you would DIE! for that." Blaze said with a tone that he meant business while he smiled as if he would enjoy doing it.

<Turns to face Captain Taurik>

"Quite interesting how you detected me, not many would have.  In fact very few would have.  Impressive." Blaze said with a tone of respect towards Taurik.

<Turns to face the young and yet nieve lt.>

"Best show some respect to others, I dont think ill kill you yet!, but do what you did to me again and we will fight it out, and I assure you, you will loose!" Blaze said with an ice like voice that would freeze Nofftz in his place.  Then just watched him choke as air returned to his lungs.

<Then he turns and addresses Burma and Sanchez>

"My name is Blaze, as you can see im half cybernetic.  I have lost many parts of my body while winning wars.  But I was sent to assist you in the rescue of Airis.  Im an ex-marine.  At one point I served under General Newberry.  Im good at ground combat, and getting into places that most havent.  This is my service record if you dont believe me." Blaze said with a tone of respect.

*Blaze activates a holographic PADD that is greenish in color, and can be read from both sides.  Blaze's service record speaks for itself naming atleast 50 major-minor engagements, several of which he lead small forces to destroy key installations, and atleast 4 more that showed hes good at infiltrations, next to each battle entry it had in small notes, where he had cybernetics added to replace real organs.  As the list continues, the Holographic padd comes to his own personal record, it named read that blaze could handle most weapons, and has knowledge in almost every form of hand to hand and weapons training, Combat tactics, piloting.  It read off he had Piloting experience in air, ground, amphibious, and space vehicles.  He could operate any gun or Vehicle on all known systems*

*He then shuts it down*

"Captains, I am trying to repay my debt to the galaxy, and what horrendous things I have done, Most Jem'Hadar wont go and try to rectify what they have done.  Most of those engagements were against starfleet and Bajor, and against the klingon empire, I know im asking you to trust me, even with my interesting back ground.  All im asking is for a chance to prove to you that I can be trusted.  Assisting in this rescue will help me with that goal.  Not all of my kind are evil.  Unfortunately im sorry that my Breathren destroyed the USS Olympia, but I assure you im not like them.  I have been shown the errors of my ways and im working to make things right." Blaze said with a caring tone.

"Raiding? I never said raiding... of course I wouldn't do that, and I respect Starfleet too much to do that anyway. I'd rather consider it borrowing some equipment, which we will gladly return to them when all this is over."

OFF: lol why would you monitor the communications in the captain's ready room? *A fighter decloaked on the hull of the Evolution and detaches itself and heads for the planet, only to recloak*

"Commander, we cannot lower shields to transport you. You must proceed to your escape pod and wait for a safe extraction after the battle."

Greetings, this is captain Randall Sanchez speaking, from the United Federation of Planets, although I am not representing the Federation at this time.

First of all, let me say that you don't need to fear our presence here, as I am not here to attack you, but to help you. You may have heard of me before, as I have been at Vontak Nor a few times, and I am fully aware of the war that is going on between you and the Loxian Government. I am also fully aware of the corruption between the government, and your reasons behind this war.

Now you must wonder why I am here, but I have very good reasons to be near Loxius. I am looking for a woman named Zayan, she's a Loxian Exile general and I'm sure you all know her as she's one of the highest ranked people among the Loxian Exiles. I recently received the news that the Loxian Government has been able to capture her, and has scheduled her execution. That they're serious about this does not need to be doubted, they want to set an example by executing her, someone who has always kept on giving hope to the Loxian Exiles. And by publicly executing her they will likely intend to crush your hopes.

But it may not come that far. Therefore, I am here, to rescue her while we still can. But I will need your help to reach the planet unnoticed, and free her. We can't do it alone. In return, I want to offer you our assistance, of two Federation starships no less, to fight the Loxian Government.

"Rivendell, this is Taurik. Set a course for Loxius Prime and escort us there at maximum warp. We will recontact you upon arrival to provide additional instructions. Taurik out."

"If absoutely necessary, I believe I could attempt to sabotage an attempt by the Rivendell to apprehend us."

[Nonir]

"Well, I suppose this is the end of this."

*Robert gives a sigh at the thought of his career in starfleet coming to an abrubt end. He gives a smirk as he thinks of all of his accomplishments and all the people he has met. Then he thinks of Ftima. He looks around the bridge and then he walks towards the turbo lift and from there he says to Ranall.*

"Captain, I will be in sickbay if I am needed give me a call."

*He enters and heads to sickbay.*

[Kelli Lauren]

"You should be able to just walk in. Act as if you need to do a diagnostic on the parts, they've got no reason to suspect you."

[Randall Sanchez]

"Hmm... how do I say this? Due to an... unfortunate event, the Rivendell failed to catch us, so why would we turn back to Avalon now if we're so close to our destiny?"
*Sanchez smiles.*
