Mission 8: The Battle of Avalon

"Interesting, it appears we have a Guardian Angel, so to speak."

"Computer, decloak and set Hexadecimal vector coordinates: 46 72 6F 6E 74 69 65 72 20 53 74 61 74 69 6F 6E and initiate Shiftdrive."

The shuttle Kelata phased into normal space at Frontier Station just as the Rivendell arrived.
After getting permission to dock, Baphomet initiated the docking sequence.
They all went to the Bridge and logged after docking, Baphomet was certain that Doctor Who was out there somewhere.

(OFF: My khala is simply a weapon, akin to a Jedi's lightsaber. it does nothing against the Na'jigat.)

"Disengage from Avalon Station and enter a defensive stance around it. Open a channel to the lead Gallifreyan ship."

Baphomet had returned from her quarters to start her rostered shift, just as Nesbitt's desperate Subspace transmission was being displayed on the main viewer.
She logged in and then began to look over the sensor data, since her last shift.

"Ships sensors have recorded no anomalous data, perhaps what ever it is is an illusion...sir, given our close proximity to Avalon Station, this would be the most logical answer, or it is beyond this vessels capabilities."

OOC: So is Avalon going to bbe destroyed next, because as far as I know the Rivendell is the only vessel in stationary orbit near the Space Station.

Very well considering Commander. At first I thought I might lose him but slowly over the time he has spent in sickbay his recovery seems to be getting better but he still hasn't returned to consciousness yet. That is worrying becasue there seems to be no reason for his continued coma.

Thank you Commander I will try my best. Moving back toward a spare science station I turn my attention to finding a solution to our prolbem. A short time later I had a an planet quack of an idea.

" Commander Freeman. Just as a spur of the moment question has anyone ever tried to fire antichrontons at them sir. I thought some partical of that kind might make some form of problem for them to handle."

[Taurik]

Taurik walked down to Sickbay to meet with Commander Rasmain. He entered sickbay to see Rasmain unconscious on the table.

"Doctor, can you wake him? I need to speak with the commander."

[Baphomet]

"Checking"

Baphomet sent the data to her shuttle for the computer to analise.
"From this data and a Sensor sweep, can the Shift-effect be traced and verified."

Kelata Computer: Acknowledged, sensors indicate Interdimensional event occured from this location from cloaked vessel, Portal indicates destination was; Hexadecimal Vector Coordinates: 58 61 6E 74 68 69 61 the planet Xanthia.
Origin of vessel indeterminable."

"The size of the Interdimensional Portal seems to indicate a vessel the size of a Federation Run-a-bout, no naturally occuring Shift event is indicated Commander."

"I have been up for 35 minutes, Morgan, I have prepared us breakfast when you are ready."

Baphomet then walks out so that Morgan can properly prepare himself for the day, in the privacy of the bedroom.

Baphomet looks over the PADD and then turns to Commander Freeman.

"There is just one problem with your plan, no vessel can travel through nullified spatial field, that is why my intentions were to produce a Shift effect between us in normal space and the Na'Jigat."

Baphomet then shows him a schematic at the Science Station.

The simulation shows a vessel emitting Antigravitons in front of a vessel and then more vessels showing a void spreading out in front.

"But you are correct it seems I have made an error in my calculations when it comes the Navigational Deflector Arrays."

"But, yes taking my shuttle out waiting on the other side of Avalon station with Captain Taurik and Ambaseddor Vurak on board. When the vessels create the null void, we could Shift in behind the Na"Jigat, pwerhaps."

OOC: Except I haven't heard back from Admiral Montrell yet.

[Will Matthews]

Matthews remained at the main bridges tactical console.
"Aye sir. Tactical is ready for orders".

[Will Matthews]

"No sir. I don't know if the communications on it are functioning. I will transport to it now".
He exited the bridge to transport to Avalon.

Baphomet followed Freeman and Matthews to her shuttle in shuttle bay one.
She overroad the security lock out and the entry gantry folded down.

"Computer, initiate pre-launch start up sequence and begin pre-flight check."

As Morgan and Matthews made themselves comfortable in the rather spacious shuttle, which is reasonably larger than a runabout, Baphomet initiated launch, opened the shuttle bay door, as the shuttle left the Rivendell at full impulse.

The shuttle rocked slightly as they passed through the subspace threshold of the USS Rivendell, which was warping to Frontier station.
Baphomet was slightly amused by the thought that her shuttle could be at Frontier station before the Rivendell.

"Computer, set hexadecimal vector coordinates: 58 61 6E 74 68 69 61 and engage the Shiftdrive."

The Vulcan prototype shuttle, the Kelata, gave off a subspace pulse from the nacelles and phased into Interdimensional and then back to normal space at the designated coordinates.

Mr. Matthews' jaw was open with an extremely shocked look on his face, of which Morgan could only grin at.
Baphomet turned around to report their arrival and raised her eyebrow at the look on Matthews' face.

"Interesting, Commander we have arrived and it seems our intruder has already left there is an ID portal signature, not far from our present location."

Why thank you Commander. I shall bare that in mind if I need anything. I have just completed the last check on the patients from the battle of avalon station and we had surprisingly few deaths. Being quite in Sickbay I thought i might take some time away from it.

Please send all available ships to Avalon Station. If this station falls, then the position of Starfleet and the Federation in the Delta Quadrant will become unstable.
