   The transporter chief tech entered some data into Sel's PADD.  As he handed the PADD back to her, the young human man said: "I have given you directions to the ship counselor's office.  Just follow those directions.  The counselor is expecting you.  Welcome aboard the USS Skytoucher".  

   "Thank you, chief", said Seldana Zax politely, "I will report to the counselor right away".  Sel saluted the transporter chief and took her PADD from his hand.  She left the transporter room, heading for the first path indicated by the well-detailed directions.

   Minutes later, Sel found herself at the door of the counselor's office.  She pressed the chime.  Sel stood at perfect attention.  She waited to see if the counselor would permit her to enter.  

   Being only a cadet, Seldana Zax's pip holder on her collar was still empty.  As she waited, Sel wondered what rank she'd have during her service aboard USS Skytoucher.  She was, however, quite proud of her post as CMO Assistant.

"Now you know that we are serious. We noticed some strange beam from your ship, but we now know how low you are, the beam didn't even scratched us..."

*The Commander began to laugh very loud*

"So would you starfleet whimps please LEAVE this sector! So that we can live in peace and harmony..."

[Rasmain]

*watches the data on his screen*

"Captain, I am getting an SOS from Starbase Avalon. This message is old but it states that they have been attacked, just like the beings said."
