Sir, I am not picking up the Rivendell's signature either. But her warp trail indicates that she was sucked into the rift. Preliminary analysis suggests that it is an unstable wormhole. I cannot determine where it leads, but sensors indicate that it will close within the next 10 Solar minutes. I don't have enough data to determine when -- or if -- it will reopen.

Lt. Vartin, let's comply with his instructions and return to the ship -- slowly. I still have passive scans running and if he doesn't detect them we may be able gather data that will be useful to Commander Rasmain on the Skytoucher. In the meantime, I will attempt to contact Dereth and see if we can do something to diffuse the situation.

Captain, we got a large plasma coolant leak in the engine room, warp engines need to be shut down immediately while we repair them, it will take approximately 2 hours to repair.
